I'm writing this review on behalf of my girlfriend, who is currently healing from an infection, due to the Technician waxing her eyelids, causing the eyelids to swell up with a rash and itch (see attached picture). She had to see a nurse to get treated for the infection, but she's still currently in pain and could barely sleep, and when she reached out to the business directly, they offered her a $10 coupon for her pain & suffering (not even a full refund). I got out of the habit of getting manicures and pedicures because I did not like the service that I would get in nail salons. Today I was preparing for a special event so I decided to go to a local nail salon close to my job. I called on the same day and made an appointment for 2:30 that afternoon. When I got there they were ready to get started right away. The salon techs at the shop were very friendly and nice. She inquired about whether I had been there before and if I had any special requests. Their prices are clear and marked and they have a lot of different services to choose from. I chose to get the mint spa pedicure and a powder dip manicure. I absolutely loved the pedicure. There was a 10 minute massage included in my selection. When the nail tech moved on to my nails she took her time and made sure they were shaped perfectly for me. They offered me water and while my hands set with the color on them I got a shoulder and neck massage. The salon is new or renovated so it still has that feel to it. I loved the fact that there was no loud tv or radio, just soothing music. I will definitely go here again. Maybe become a regular. read more

I have been to Pop Nails twice now since moving to Media. I had a WONDERFUL first experience with a nail technician named Christine (sp?) and she gave a heavenly foot massage during my pedicure that made me want to go back. Plus my regular polish on my toes lasted longer than the expected two weeks, which is hard to find these days. 5 star. The second visit I had to Pop Nails was last week. I had a technician, Tony, for my pedicure. He was very attentive and fantastic at cleaning up my feet and the polish was smooth. Since I'd had a fantastic massage the last time, I chose to pay for the 10 minutes extra of massage this time. However, his massage was unfortunately very poor and at one point he hurt me. I told him it hurt and he backed off but then seemed to be so hesitant to actually massage me that I left feeling like I missed out on the massage that I paid extra for! :( I did speak up about this during the massage and he made very minor adjustments but honestly he rubbed me so quickly and superficially that it seemed as though he had very poor understanding of where to rub on legs... he even rubbed the hot towel UP my legs, against my follicles, and this was very unpleasant and unusual practice. 3 star. After this unsatisfying pedicure my manicure was very clean and smooth. No complaints whatsoever during it. However, my gel lasted 6 days before peeling off. See pics. 3 1/2 star. I have had much better luck at other salons and so will likely go elsewhere in the future. I will say 5 star for atmosphere, it's very calming and the technicians are all attentive. Beautiful interior. Clean and decorated in calming hues of green and zenlike fixtures and appointments. Soothing music at a calm volume led me into a nap during my pedicure. Bottled water was offered as well as a neck massage while drying. Winter special: Free Parrafin wrap with pedicure. I found the staff to be pleasant, warm and very professional and friendly. The reason I left the 2 star review is because of the following... I wasn't able to get an appointment at my regular nail salon and my nails were 3 weeks old, so I thought I would search for locations in my area and give one a try. I chose Cozy. The pedicure was the best thing about it, especially the 10 min massage. I love foot massages. But my nails! I thought they understood what I meant when I said I have gel on my hands. Apparently I guess you have to draw a picture and spell it out. I thought that they would put gel on my nails first, THEN the gel polish. Nope. She only put gel polish on top of my nails, I didn't get a gel REFILL. I didn't say anything, I paid and didn't leave a tip. And I ALWAYS tip. ALWAYS. Maybe I should have been clearer in what I wanted. But I thought professionals would look at my hands and see what I had and act accordingly. read more

A good place, cheerful and friendly and the mani/pedi was ok. A little extra was a neck massage and the small bottle of water offered free of charge. The salon filled up and other customers seemed pleased enough. I don't think I'll go back, though, as my manicurist seemed inexperienced and I had difficulty relaxing into the experience. read more

Better than average nail spa. Prices are competitive with other local nail spas. I spent 55 dollars on a gel manicure and pedicure. One problem is the parking lot. Oh my. Backing out of that parking lot is terrifying. You back out onto a busy street. So be careful. Nails look nice. They aren't the best manicure and pedicure I've ever had in my life. But they still look good for my vacation coming up. Staff were very friendly and kind. They put out a lot of things like candy and water bottles to make you feel special. That was a nice touch. I would recommend coming here. It gets busy though. So make an appointment ahead of time. read more

I love getting my nails done here. They have a lot of stations and are always friendly and do a good job. It's always clean and they offer candy and bottled water. They give neck/back massages included with the services as well. The arm and leg massages accompanying mani/pedi (which let's be honest are always the best part) are top notch, they don't phone it in. Even do a paraffin heel treatment on pedis which I love. They really do go the extra mile! They also have a customer loyalty program where the dollars you spend add up to future discounts. They can look it up through your cell phone number which is nice. 5% off when you pay cash. There's not a ton of spots out front but there is a lot in the back which is great. Went there with my young daughter and everyone was really kind to her. We both got manicures and pedicures. They offered stickers to her for her nails which she loved. They did a thorough job with wonderful massages including hot stones on our feet. They also have a loyalty card that if you go six times you get $8 off. 10% off if you pay in cash. I've been coming here for the past 2 months as I'm trying to find a new nail salon since I'm new to the area. Without fail, my nails chip within a week. I got my nails done on Thursday and my manicure is ruined cause of chipping- it's only Monday! For some reason, they don't clean the skin around your nail either, which is strange. Great pedicures for my daughter and me! Polish lasted well. Nice, attentive staff. Chairs were comfy. A plus - wonderful massage on both legs during the pedicure and then our necks as toes were drying. A friend recommended this place, and she was right. I will be back! Others have mentioned backing out onto busy State Rd is a challenge when you leave. There is more parking in the rear- I'll do that next time. Best nail salon experience EVER! The place was clean and they offered a huge selection of polish colors that were extremely well organized. The staff was so nice, I was helped immediately, and they offered free cold bottled water. The pedicure was the best I've ever had. They were so careful and gentle and the polish looks exceptional. I bought two Groupons for manis/pedis and made two appointments (on 3/21) for me and my mom. We went in, had our manis/pedis, and since there was no one else in the store we also requested they put on acrylic nails too. The three women looked at eachother and stated they had time to do ONE of us. So we agreed I would have them done while my mom waited. Meanwhile the other two women did absolutely nothing. Well after 4 days one of the nails popped off. So I went to a different nail place to have it fixed. When they took off the polish they showed me how all of the nails were about to pop off. So I decided to just have them all removed. This place is OK for pedicures (remember to make an appointment though), but I will never go to them to have anything done with my nails again. read more
