If I could give negative stars I would. I took my daughter to breakfast and then for a pedicure. This was our first time in the salon and we were attended to quickly. My nail tech had blonde streaks in her hair and was short tempered. She was short and direct with each command. Put your foot here, lay your toes flat, no not stiff and continued to snap at me. I followed directives and just thought either somehow my toes offended her or she was in a bad mood. She proceed to recommend that I don't do gel polish next time. So I replied okay so I won't do it now. She then yelled and said I need to speak with and got up and left to get I assume the manager. I said I won't be spoken to this way. The manager apologized, tried to smooth it over but we took our business elsewhere. I will always defer to experts and simply tried to follow her advice. For that she lost her mind. We will never go back. I hope your experience is better. Never in all the years of getting nail service have I been treated that way!! I now understand why their salon was empty. Update and response to Nita, I have no reason to lie. You falsely calm that I waited until you completed the service and I refused to pay. That is a LIE. I accurately and honestly left a review. You, Nita said I recommend you don't do gel next time and since you were just finishing a base coat on the first foot, I replied with okay I won't do gel now then. You lost your mind saying I already started. I replied well it is just the base coat you stomped away saying something to the affect of I need to talk to your manager. You were rude before this with snapping commands at me. My daughter had two toes done. I said I won't let someone treat me in that manner and we left. We had a beautiful experience at Zen nails. I would never go back to this place. Yes the people were really nice, however I kept telling the nail that my real nail was exposed and the dip powder wasn't across the whole nail bed and she kept saying "no it's skin." As you can see a majority of my nails are sticking out the sides. Plus, $97 for dip powder with tip and a regular pedicure seems outrageous to me. First time going to this salon because my regular one was closed. Checked the reviews and was like, "Alright, they'll be good." They were not. Or - specifically, the woman who did my pedicure was not. The rest of the people genuinely seemed very nice. However, the nail tech that did my pedicure was terrible. Talked to the nail tech next to her the whole time. Clipped, but didn't file the nails. Half-*ssed the massage part.... I don't need the frills or even the massage. But, I do need the nails to be perfect and feet (heels, cuticles, etc.) to be a little better than when I walked into the salon. read more

She talked about me the whole time in her language and it was very uncomfortable. Charged way too much for the shitty job. Barely massaged or scrubbed my feet at all. She got annoyed if she had to go out of her way for anything. There is no ambiance ( which who cares if the work is good but since it's not it's just one more thing). I called Trendy Nails to ask the price of a gift card for a mani-pedi and was quoted the price of $50. When went in person to purchase the gift card and started to pay the woman helping me informed me it would be $50 if I paid in cash and $54 if I paid with a credit card. I objected to having to pay a surcharge of 8% for using the card, and the woman said it's the owner's rule. When I asked whether the owner knows if there's a cap in PA on the percentage amount of such a surcharge, she repeated that it's "his" rule and said she'll tell "him". Rather than making that very polite employee uncomfortable by prolonging that conversation, I decided to tell the owner directly: 1) Any charge a credit card company charges you to make a transaction should be regarded as a cost of doing business, just like all your other costs that go along with running a business; 2) Even if you choose to pass this cost along to your customers, 8% exceeds the amount your credit card company is permitted by law to charge you, which means you are squeezing a few extra dollars out of each customer simply because you have determined you can get away with it. That's just tacky; 3) I checked on your website, which does not include a notice to prospective customers of this 8% uncharge. Tacky again; 4) You send your female employees out to surprise customers with the news that you require this 8% upcharge rather than tell them yourself. There's that "t" word again. read more

Never had a bad experience with Trendy Nails. My mom goes every two weeks like it's her religion. Each tech is so kind and professional. The establishment is very clean and has lots of colors to choose from. They have regular polish, gel polish and SNS. The staff knows every customer that walks through the door, it's a really good vibe. The prices are good, would absolutely recommend. My mother sees Nu and I usually see Jenny or Cyndi. I came to get a refill. I picked out a nail color a was told several times not to pick that color and that I need to pick a Gel color. New to Media and looking for a new nail salon. Trendy is right down the street from my home so I thought I'd give it a try. Friendly staff but sloppy work depending on the technician. Been here a few times and left with nail polish on my skin and rough heels after a pedicure. When I brought up the polish on my skin, the tech said "it'll come off when you take a shower." It's also a turn off when nail technicians who are younger than you call you sweetie. Seemed super off to me and put a bad taste in my mouth. This place if you're looking for a quick service but after trying this place out about 3-4 times, I won't be back. I don't want to gamble a sloppy pedicure when paying for it. read more

There are a multitude of things wrong with this place: 1. Their selection of nail color is very limited. 2. The length of my nails was not trimmed evenly - my left nails are longer than my right nails. 3. I asked for a glitter coat on my French nail line and the technician said she could do it. During the process she complained that she did not have enough glitter and she blamed it on my because I used so much glitter during my last visit. "Isn't it your responsibility to stock up on supplies? Why would you blame that on me?" I asked. She didn't answer but instead proceeded to murmur in Vietnamese. 4. The technician was so worried about not having enough glitter that she forgot to put on a double coat of the color. How could she forget that? 5. They charged me $43 - $23 for the gel manicure and $20 for the design. Is putting a glitter coat over your French tip even considered a design? Nonsense! The last time I went here, they charged me $28 for doing something very similar. When I asked them about the discrepancy, they said the previous price was given to me in error. So, if you want to have more than just simple boring coloring, such as putting glitter on top, make sure you ask for the price in advance. Or better yet - don't even waste your time and money on this place. 6. They appear to have a certain number of frequent customers and it was very obvious that I did not receive the same amount of care and attention that the regulars received. 7. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They simply blame their low skill set and their lack of supplies on their customers, but they are more than willing to charge high prices for low quality work and substandard customer service. read more

I've been here twice, once for mani-pedi, the most recent visit for just a pedicure. I've had both Jenny and Cindy and each are friendly. I prefer Jenny, bc her attention to detail was excellent. My mani lasted for almost two weeks to boot! the place is huge and clean and empty. Not sure why it's empty given how much nicer it is then the other salons I've been to in the area which are cramped, not so clean and overwhelmingly stinky or overpriced for what you get. This is a great place to get in and out quickly and have a pleasant experience while you're at it. And they even offer wine (though I've never taken them up on it) which is just thoughtful and nice of them. They will keep getting my business, that's for sure. read more

I was done in the time in took them to polish someone else's nails. If you don't want to stay just say you are closed. I went here to have the gel nail polish removed from my feet from a pedicure I had at another business near my home the week prior. As soon as I said I'd like this gel nail polish removed and my nails painted with a polish I had brought in, I feel like the woman was annoyed that I was not interested in a full pedicure. She proceeded to do what I requested and when I was drying my toes at the dryer she asked me to pay, I produced my debit card and she then says, "you don't have any cash?" EXCUSE ME? How dare you question me about the method of payment I am using. So then she proceeded to tell me it would be $23 dollars instead of $20 because I was paying with my debit card. I said that was fine and then I paid her a $6 tip with cash that I had purposely had set aside for her tip. I just feel that if you have a small job they get annoyed because you are not getting a full pedicure.( I just had one a few days ago) and don't question me about having cash. I was so delighted and thrilled to see Ken and Jennie from the former salon in Springfield Mall - where I always used to go. Normally go in for the dip which they do great on but tried having them do acrylics, waited 40 minutes because they only had two people there who could do them only to finally get one of them and she ended up getting polish all over the place and seemed to get frustrated at me for her doing so and left my nails chunky. For the forty plus tip I paid I thought they would at least last two weeks but three nails were off by five days. Want to go back and complain and get them fixed but also don't want to be charged more for poor quality work. read more

The worse service I have ever received from any nail salon IN MY LIFE! The (older) woman who had me, discussed how "tough" my nails were (based on medical issues) to the customer in the chair next to me! Anyone who's been in a hospital, as I had been, knows..people sometimes feel like less than themselves upon release, & I was taken to salon to begin that process of feeling better. Well, this older woman talked about me in her native language to the nice person helping the lady I came in with,and didn't stop until it was over. Which is how THIS happened! I was there for the first time last week for a gel mani (great color selection) with Peter (really friendly and chatty) and will definitely be back. I have been to Trendy Nails about five times for a pedicure. I think there is an adequate selection of polish from which to choose. There are a lot of pedicure stations. Parking is free and they generally offer a drink. Until this week, I have been pleased. I had a young girl do my nails and she was rough. I even had to say "Ow" a few times to make her aware of it. She made a mistake on one of my toes and she did fix it when I asked. She was very talkative and I just wanted to relax and read. I will avoid her the next time I go there. read more

I live in Media Burrough and my fav salon has been Zen. I stopped here because I was gettinng a Spray tan and they are in the same complex. I was pleasantly surprised! Huge, clean, brand new, everyone is super nice. Offered wine which was a nice touch. I had Peter - he was great. Apparently they used to be at Springfield mall for 16 yrs and moved to this location. Got mani with gel, pedi, eyebrow wax and it was $44. It was fast relaxing, and looks great. Very happy with new find. Will likely replace Zen for me. read more
