I am a firm believer of the saying "Quality over quantity", with that said the quality of their gel nails are far more superior than those down west chester pike "ahem ahem"! STEAR CLEAR! Ever since management changed, this place has gone downhill. No price board so they charge whatever they want. I used to come to Mary every two weeks for a full gel set never coat more than $30. I got charged $40 for the worst set of my life. Throughout the manicure I was knicked multiple times. Then about halfway through some old emotions lady came up behind me, and talked to my manicurist asking how much longer she was going to be because she wanted to wait for her but she had "places to be". So instead of my nice relaxing manicure I got a half assed rushes one because of this lady. After I was finished my nails I got up and before I could even turn around to ask about my eyebrows she was already working on that lady. I went in the next day to get their mistakes fixed and she could barely see the problems. All the nails were bubbled, thick, and uneven. She sat me down at a chair and told me she'd have to completely redo them. Fair enough. Then right as she was getting started two people walked in with "appointments". Since when did havertown nails take appointments? So instead of helping and already upset customer, she told me I'd have to come back if I wanted them fixed. BIG MISTAKE. I went the day before because it was my only day off that I could spend time getting them done. Only after crying about it, since I was overcharged and now was basically stuck with ugly nails, was I offered a refund. Needless to say they just lost another customer. read more

I really didn't want to leave this place a bad review, especially during the tough circumstances for small businesses right now, but when it comes to health and sanitary precautions I feel like the public needs to be aware ... got a mani/pedi and quality is fine, took 1.5 hours surprisingly but I was in no rush. Unfortunately, my second toenail on my left foot got infected from the pedicure and was throbbing & tender that evening. I work for a dermatologist so I know how to treat it, but this is just totally unacceptable ESPECIALLY during a global pandemic!!! I tried calling the salon but the woman wouldn't listen to me on the phone so maybe this will get someone's attention to prompt change. read more

I wanted this to become my new nail salon, sadly, I just came from the worst experience I've had at ANY nail salon. The pedicure was good. The lady doing my feet stopped a few times to wax other customers eyebrows, but I wasn't in a hurry. The problems started when I was getting my gel mani. I chose a Gelish color which cures in about 2 minutes per coat. I have been getting Gelish at various nail salons for about 2 years. The lady doing my nails told me I needed to keep my hands under the UV lights for TEN minutes, while she went to start another customers manicure. After about 5 minutes, I took my hands out from under the lights and she yelled at me! I explained that I know Gelsih cures in 2 minutes and didn't feel comfortable baking my hands in UV light for 10 minutes. She then proceeded to berate me in front of her other "regular" customers for about 10 minutes, saying I "must be in a hurry" and I "didn't know what I was talking about." She finished up with me and guess what miraculously happened...my Gelish set after only curing for 2 minutes. I doubt it will stay though. Her application was the sloppiest I've ever had and its all over my skin. It'll surely peel in a day or 2. $50 for a terrible gel mani and an ok pedi is certainly not a bargain. I'll never be back, and these people need a lesson in customer service. read more

This place gets 5 stars bc it's honestly the best in my opinion! I have lived in this area pretty much my whole life. When I was old enough to start getting my nails done professionally I went to a place in Broomall, which will remain nameless (yet you all know where). After that particular salon got a huge renovation, I noticed the quality went way down hill. Too mnay clients, in too little time. No personalization or friendliness. and more and more mistakes. I searched for a long time for a new place. I mean literally like years. Went to every salon in the area and was always disappointed. Happened to remember Havertown Nails after walking near it in the shopping center. If it was a little more open it would probably have more business, as it's kinda tucked away. I had a fabulous pedicure and refill, which is my usual every 3 weeks. Angela was the manicurist and she did an amazing job! I have been going to her for about 6 years now! I only go to her bc she knows what i like and I always know what to expect. I have gone to others there when she has been away on vacation and they are good as well, but I prefer Angela. Tham or Linda usually do my toes. The owner Lan and her son Duke are always there as well. They are super friendly and accommodating. I have walked in late several times and they never turn me down or make me feel unwanted! It's fairly small but it's clean and modern. Flat screen TV's a nice fish tank and plenty of pedicure massage chairs. My only complaints are: the hours, which seem to slim compared to other nail salons, as they are not open on Sundays, which is not convenient. Also, they have a vast array of colors, which I love, but very few by Essie, which is 1 of my favorite brands. You will spend a little longer here than other nail salons, but it is worth it. My nails are flawless, last at least 3 weeks and are always the way I ask. Angela does an impeccable hand done French manicure, which is the best i've ever had! Referred a friend here recently, who moved here from NJ and didn't know where to go and complimented my nails. She drives here from Manayunk. That's how good it is. I went in on a Sunday--they are actually open then--for a gel manicure. Someone I know recommended them for that, so I was hoping this would prove to be somewhere in the burbs that can actually do a good gel mani. You can probably see where this is going... It was empty, so someone helped me right away. I needed my old gel removed, so she set that up and then left me to wait, which is pretty standard practice. Then, another girl directed me to a different station, and she started in on the manicure. It came out OK, but as another reviewer mentioned, I've never had to keep my hands under the lamp that long to dry. It was literally ten minutes. Another woman finished up. I wasn't too crazy about being passed around, though the second woman spoke perfect English and was very nice, even translating parts of the conversation they were having in Vietnamese so I would know why they were laughing. So, it was OK, if a little weird. NB: It's cash-only. There's an ATM, but you'll have to pay a surcharge, so make sure to get some cash before you come in. I'll go back in a pinch, because it's still the best I've found in the area, but that's not to say that it's a favorite. read more

I had a very bad experience here. I had made my appointment days in advance and received a call on my way in asking if I was still coming. I let the woman know that I was. When I got in there, she told me she booked someone at the same time and didn't realize I was already in the slot. So she rushed through my pedicure. I noticed how bad it looked and asked her to put an extra coat on my toes thinking it would help. It did not. When it was time for my dip manicure, the individual that she accidentally placed in the same slot showed up. She asked if I minded if she started her nails. I figured she would work on her nails for a few minutes and come back to mine. She did not and an hour went by before she got to me. I could tell the other individual was a regular and she seemed to be prioritized. The nails looked like an absolute mess. The salon was close to closing so I knew they wouldn't have time to fix them. I went to a another salon with evening hours and had the nails completely redone. I'd never go back! read more

I have never complained about mani & pedi outcomes before, but I have to say that this was the sloppiest mani & pedi job I have ever gotten. First of all, they have a very limited shellac selection and they didn't have my favorite shellac color. I opted out for French manicure, and it came out looking sloppy. I also had a pedicure done first and even though the technician reassured me many times that my pedicure was absolutely dry and I could go, my pedicure got all smudged by the time I got home. This was a great experience! I went in around 4:20pm on a Sunday they close at 5 so I was the only person in there. They didn't make me feel unwelcome at all since they could of bailed out early like they do at some places. Mary and Angela both worked on me simultaneously and it was so relaxing! Mary was removing my gel polish while Angela did my pedicure and you know how sometimes they are lazy and they pull your arm across your chest so they don't have to move but its so uncomfortable for us...well she didn't do that. Instead, she would move from my left side to my right side to do each hand so I wasn't uncomfortable. Now to some that may seem insignificant but for me that's a big deal, It was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. When the massage chair stopped I opened my eyes and she said "here I come you go back to sleep,relax!!" My nails now look great and I also feel great!! The only bad thing I would have to say is that they only take cash but they do have an ATM machine on site that only has a $1 surcharge. I will definitely be going back on a regular basis! I have been going to Rosie, the owner, since February and I am hooked! She does gel powder and my nails have never looked better or lasted longer and it is the same price as what the Nail Bar in Newtown Square would charge. I love that my nails look great all month long, I usually get bored with the color and go back in just to change it up. Rosie is great, super freindly, keeps her shop very clean and beleives highly in quality. She bought Victoria Nails back in 2016 and I could not be happier with the new owner! read more

My best friend and I decided to get our nails done for graduation. In a pinch for time, we came to this nail salon. It took more than 20 minutes for us to even be acknowledged, and when we were seated for our color changes, we still had to wait for a long amount of time. My friend got a French manicure, which was subpar. She got finished right away, but mine took much longer. As during my manicure, a woman came in to get her eyebrows done. The woman who was doing my nails left me and did the other woman's eyebrows. She also started on someone's pedicure without finishing with me first. I had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for this, and once she FINALLY finished my nails, I went to the dryer. While there, I asked for quick dry and was told I didn't need it. The woman finally gave me some after asking repeatedly, and I dried my nails for a while to ensure that they were dry. When I got to my car, my "dry" nails obviously weren't dry and got ruined. I wasn't happy that I paid before-hand because I definitely would not have paid the amount that was asked, even though it was super cheap. I have no problem paying for a very quality manicure and/or pedicure. This was a horrible experience overall and I will most likely not be coming back here. I would much rather prefer paying more money for a quality job than this mediocre job that they provide here any day. read more

ive been to tons of nails salons around the area before finally agreeing to my overall fav. overall its a great salon. convenient off the main road. although its easy to miss since its all the way in the corner next to applebee's next to the manoa candy shop. its clean comfy and classic. once u get inside comfortable waiting area and quality leather seats that really pampers the customers. u can tell they really want the best for there customers. the flat screen tvs for all seated areas facing customers are a great touch. ive been coming here for a while and u can tell they dont seem to skimp out. they always use quality products OPI essie etc. ensures longevity. sometimes i get moody but the staff are super friendly wether u want to chat or not. they have plenty of pedi chairs and 2 waxing areas. i dont normally write reviews but this place has always been a lifesaver when i needed my nails and wax done for a last minute special occasion or going out dinner. just made an appointment to pamper myself with my personal fav mary for my weekly gel and pedicure. my boyfriend even got a mani & pedicure while he waited for me. read more
