Wow - how rude and inconsiderate!! I literally had to call Cox's main number to get ANY assistance from this Cox store! This store doesn't answer their phone calls go straight to voicemail! I was literally in front of the store right in front of the main entrance doors - in my car with my windows down - I am sick with a cold - wearing a mask - I asked the TWO employees who came outside... speaking to them through the open passenger side window...to Help me as I was trying to return a new modem still in box - I was trying to explain to them I didn't want to go INSIDE the store because I didn't want to get anyone sick - and could they talk to me for a second.... NOPE - one just ignored me and went back inside the other told me to go next store to the UPS store and have them mail it - what?! I'm literally right here sitting in my car with a box in my hand ...what do you mean mail it and I'm not trying to go into any store... I'm sick with a cold!!!! I don't understand why she just couldn't take the box from me ? then she just took my first name and said she would tell someone inside the store. But wouldn't it take the modem from me?! I told her I'll give you my account number and my name and phone number she wasn't interested ....I sat there for probably 10 minutes sick in my car with the windows down trying to give them back their modem trying to be respectful of people in the store and I got treated like dirt!! I had to call the main number of Cox explain what I was trying to do...they had to call someone inside the store and then finally someone came out to grab the box. Honestly I was really super pissed off with this experience!! How rude!!! The new modem was for a rental unit I have and the tenants didn't want me to install the new one until they move out which is in May I had to return the modem because I was about to be charged for it $240 I literally drove 30 minutes to go to the store waited in my car with the window down until I saw an employee came outside.. they were opening the door for customers to leave .... The door opened onto a sidewalk and my car was right next to the sidewalk ....what else could I do except say "hello can I talk to you for a second I'm trying to drop off this modem" since I couldn't talk to anyone in the store because they do not answer their phone!!! Our promotion for Cox internet expired and our bill jumped up $30. I tried using the chat feature on the Cox app but it was slow and frustrating. I decided to drive to the store to talk to a sales representative. Rosa was amazing! She was friendly, listened well and gave me multiple options to choose from. We didn't need any additional services or cell phones, but she still found us a promotion that gave us a 5 year locked price for the same level of internet we had and it was a little cheaper. This company is the most frustrating of any company I have ever dealt with. Trying to put our system on hold while we are out of town takes an act of God. I spent 1.5 hours on hold today and when someone finally picked up, I was hung up on. I called back and was out on hold again. Finally when an agent picked up, they could see the order for the hold was there and they were going to transferring me to the billing department, but of course that transfer ended with a disconnected line. The chat bot cannot answer questions and I am unable to take my complaint to a level where the billing problem can be addressed. This happens anytime we are out of town and we try and pause the billing cycle. My next step will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and lodging a formal complaint. I do not know if the people working there are not trained well enough to solve the issues or if this is Cox's method of generating additional money at the expense of the customer. read more

Had to call customer service for 45 minutes to be told this happens frequently, and that representatives are on commission and will try to STEAL your money. This is an ongoing scam by cox and the con artists at this store. Representative Devin is a scumbag and charged us on a new plan that tripled our bill without saying a word to me. He put in the notes that we agreed to this which is a complete lie. And the manager we talked to just covered for his little scam team. I had COX for 2 years after moving to Tucson. There was nothing to complain as far as the speed & reliability (not a game player at all). The initial technician was the sweetest & nicest. But the price increase is ridiculous. The very basic service I need for research plus streaming YouTube went up to $80. Don't buy into the "promotional price", to avoid surprises. I just went ahead and changed to Quantum Fiber. $50/m for life. More than anything else, what I can't stand about COX is their sales pitch. I prefer online chat for anything. The agent is always always always very pesky with sales pitch. I ended up typing, "What part of 'I'm sick of your sales pitch' did you NOT understand?" after repeatedly requested to end the service. They offered a 'promotional' plan for $60 that's "best for me", completely ignoring I no longer wished to use COX and it was none of their business how much I'd be paying for the new provider. I use Cox Communications for Internet. Landline Phone. and Cable Television. Their Tucson Arizona Administrative phone number is 888-566-7751. My Internet is just dandy. My Landline Phone doesn't receive calls correctly (ie someone will call me and we can't hear each other -- and much more. Escalations was not helpful solving the Phone issue. Maybe I need a new line from the telephone-pole to my home, but that is put off as unnecessary.) My TV service is good. However the choices of BASIC TV programming to suit my taste contains mostly shows I saw as a child (such as Hogan's Hero's reruns) . The same Movies are scheduled over and over, some old and some newer. The ABC NBC FOX and CBS are consistently available. Support is very good, especially Complete Care. Ask about it! Thanks. Since posting my last review, things managed to become worse. I have been told many times things that were untrue. I was told many times I had service, when the service was actually down. I was told to buy a new route. The current router I am using, was a recommendation by COX years ago. Recently the cox representative told me I needed a faster router. That was untrue. I am considering another provider. I am strongly considering the newer slightly more expensive, dependable, satellite service. Fortunately my cell phone provider has come to my rescue. Absolutely outstanding customer service; Ms. Rebecca Brujan got us all set up. Got us the best plan for our Father who wanted many sports channels. She got us In and out of there quickly. Rebecca even gave us a demonstration on how to program the TV, set up , etc. Great service. Man, I've got a love/hate relationship with these guys. Best internet in the city hands down...but worst customer service (but typical for cable providers). They talked me into this Cox HomeLife technology which has been nothing but a headache. 3 tech visits at $75 a pop to have them sound out some college drop out to plug wires in and read out of a manual and still get it wrong. After this last complete shut off with the system I called tech support, they tell me the typical we will send a tech out again, I said isn't there another option? They say go to the store that sold it to you, they can help. I spend a Saturday morning waiting on line for about 35 mins to be told "We don't service or do anything with Cox HomeLife" from a Cox store worker who sold me the upgrade lmao. When I returned my cox equipment I was belittled and told I'm making a huge mistake because they are the best. I was told Verizon Wireless will not be sufficient. This shim needs to relax a bit. Cox keeps padding my bill with various services I did not order, do not want, have no interest in, and refused when offered. Among such services was phone service. I repeatedly told the representative in the South Tucson center that I did NOT want phone service, that I already had another phone service, was not interested in being upsold for phone service, and I REFUSED him when he said, "I'll just add that to your bill." Guess what? He added it anyway. Maybe it was to improve his commissions. It certainly wasn't for anything that was an advantage to me. Next I wanted Essential 100 Cox but THEY keep changing it to 250 service. Again, I did NOT want 250 service, did not need 250 service, was not interested in being up-sold for 250 service and refused it when offered. Guess what? I've been upgraded twice even though I refused it and instructed them to remove 250 service from my account. This last time it DOUBLED my bill! As of this month I still have the illegal upgrade to 250. I have learned to hate them. Cox is an absolutely miserable company to deal with. Customer Service is not truthful and not helpful when you have a problem. They training includes how to grovel to you for calling in and how interested they are in helping you with your problems, followed by a quick transfer to someone else who does the same thing. It was not always so. But, maybe it has always been so in Pima County. At first chance, I am going to run away as soon as I find an alternative. In the last 30 years I've not been on Cox services for just two short stints in cities where it wasn't offered. I dropped TV Cable 6 years ago because it had become to be so poor as they kept cutting services rewarded by a raise in price. Never again will I trust Cox for anything. read more

I've been reporting an issue for 3 months that still hasn't been resolved. Every time it rains, which lately has been quite often, the internet just stops working completely. I work from home and have to use PTO if I can't work because of internet issues. I've called and chatted in almost every time it happens and have physically gone into the store twice. They've sent the wrong type of technician twice who was only able to tell me my brand new coax at my home was fine and the issue is probably up in the main lines in the alley. The techs were great guys, very friendly and helpful. They've told me when I call in or go into the store that it's a known issue but other times act like I'm the only one experiencing it and to "contact them next time it happens". Overall the experience has been terrible. The only reason I haven't switched is that there is no better option yet in my area. read more

Im giving this place a 5 star rating, not because I think the prices are great (I don't) or because of the place looks or anything else superficial. They get a 5 star rating because of two people I dealt with: Nick and David. I'm an asshole. I'll be the first to admit it. I get even worse when I feel a business is not meeting my expectations for either services provided or customer service given. Here's a note to all customer service reps out there: listening, critical thinking and offering options are all FREE. These did that flawlessly. I did not get things resolved in the manner I wanted to. Neither was authorized to do what I was requesting. Times have changed. Oh well. What was offered was time to vent, detailed explanations for requests that could not be honored, empathy (something severely lacking in this town) and a way to recoup my immediate financial losses in less than 6 months. THAT, I can respect. I may not agree with Cox's current practices (I don't agree with most places current business practices) but, when you have employees such as these two, you walk away feeling respected and not screwed. Wow all managers in this place apparently go through "fuck the customer" training. Please be very careful when dealing with this store and ALL MANAGERS!! they all piece of shit! Make sure you ask if you will be charged for any transfer or services... After dealing with management, I understood why the reps here are incapable of knowing their duties and or protocols. After a bad experience with moving transfer, I came back to the store where I initiated the transfer. I was up till 2 am trying to figure out why I couldn't get service. Manager didn't even try to help, rep told him that I had set up tech for next day, his response "you lucky they got you in next day, it's usually 5-6 days, so no I can't do anything for you." This guy didn't even try to pull up account and see if maybe his rep had completed the transfer wrong... Buddy word of advice, your store goes as you go. Don't ever call yourself a leader. Cox needs better trained staff for Cox Mobile! E SIM card took over an hour to set up on my I-Phone 15. For my wife's phone they gave me a physical SIM card for her I Phone 13. I took it home and installed as directed it didn't get a signal. It has e sim also because there was no SIM card in her phone and in settings it has an option to add e sim. I texted the service technician Airana who worked on the phone and received no further instructions how to fix the problem. After I got home 14 miles away I had to send my wife back to have them the fix the problem which could have been fixed over the phone if someone bothered to call me back. After ending my service I returned my equipment in store. I was told that a receipt would be emailed to me. I never received one. The store does not answer the phone or return calls. Pretty painless, and overall a good experience! Moving to a new house, I had occasion to sign up for Cox Internet. In the morning, I spent about 15 min online to establish service that day, and was presented with options to get the startup kit, to include modem/router and cables. One option was to have a startup kit shipped, another to make a startup kit available at the Cox store for pickup, and the third option was to arrange for a service call. The most expedient option appeared to be the in-store pickup, so that is what I opted to do. Later that day, I stopped by the store. In less than 10 minutes from the time I arrived, I was walking out the door with the kit, having been helped by a courteous associate who offered enabling the modem so it would be immediately in service upon installation. Within a half hour of exiting the store, I arrived in the new house, connected the modem, and was up and running with the new high speed internet. All in all, a very pleasant and easy experience!
