Went here on a busy Saturday night. Felt a bit like a fish out of water here or out of my element. I am a longtime vegan. This is after all a place known for their burgers. It was quite noisy and sports played on several televisions. The music was also loud and place was packed. The service could have been better as the servers were working hard yet were probably short staffed w/ such a full house. It took awhile to get seated and for my food to arrive. I had to get up and get up to pour my own water which rarely ever happens. I don't like to give low reviews and 3 stars is fairly low for me. I think the 3.5 stars of Cornucopia is solid. I would give 3 stars for service and 4 stars for food. Although service might have been much different on a slower time. I think since Yelp adds up reviews to include 1/2 star ratings reviewers should be able to have half stars. On the bright side I appreciate Cornucopia for having several options for vegans including different variations of their homemade veggie burgers. Their veggieburgers are made in house known as vurgers are made from tempeh and black beans. I opted for JB's Garden Vurger which has avocado, tomato, green peppers, onion, and salsa. It comes with cheese, but they can easily make it w/o cheese to make it vegan. Kudos for making the veggie burger in house as some restaurants either don't offer a veggie burger option or they use packaged one like Garden Burger or Boca. I think Cornucopia could be better by adding Daiya or Follow Your Heart for us vegans. Also I found the salsa w/o much kick at all so had to add quite a bit of tabasco to kick it up a bit. Portion size was huge and came with a TON of fries. There is an option to add sweet potato fries. To make it even better would be nice to have half the fries w/ the sweet potato option. Portions are huge and could easily split it with a friend or bring a hearty appetite as Cornucopia could be great as a post Skinner Butte hike I also loved that some of the walls were decorated with Oregon Country Fair framed posters from various years to celebrate Eugene's beloved weekend. read more

Had a coupon from the savvy saver for a BYGO half off entree. It was a Monday and the special was any burger with a brew for 12 bucks. Alas, the special was excluded from the promo. Got the turkey burger and the chicken strip entree. Both came with either tots or fries. Tots were ok and fries had a nice crunchy coating. Entrees were pretty good. Probably would come back for a special sometime. Outdoor seating was nice... the train was nice to gawk at. Inside seating is super dark... creepy dark. Waiter was kinda absent. Had to walk to the bar to close the tab. Lunch time rush I guess. Free parking nearby... gotta love that. Stupid downtown and their pay parking can suck it. read more

We stopped in during lunchtime on a busy Saturday and with the place nearly full to capacity two servers just isn't enough help. I should have gone with their burger but tried the Saturday Special of chicken wings and onion rings. Both were heavy on breading as I love a good onion ring, these were not close to the Burnside Grill quality. I've also had wings all over Eugene and these were definitely on the dry side . We also tried the French onion soup and it was fair at best. Regrettably we won't be back as even the French fries were not what we remembered at their other locations. Solid bar burger. I really liked this place. Cornucopia is not trying to be super special, it's just a casual sports bar but clean and bright enough that we saw lots of office-working lunch-goers. I bet it is fun at night when there is a ball game going on. This is not haute cuisine. We all went for burgers. Good, tasty meat and the burger had a nice charred flavor. Flavorful bun. Crispy fries. What more do you want? Our 10 year old gave a thumbs up for the plain burger, and the waitress was very sweet to him. Hopping place at lunch even. I was up visiting the U of O campus and my friends who attend from Los Angeles. I love traveling and eating at local places, so when I asked to go and visit this girls "Favorite local spot" she took me to Cornucopia. Walking distance from campus and tucked away in a small area, there was definitely a homely feel to the joint. The art was funky, bar nice and staff happy to greet us. Regardless of the atmosphere, I was there for a burger. The burger I got was superb. I decided to go with a western bacon, and was not disappointed. I actually ended up having more patty than bun, which to me was pleasant because they did not skimp on the meat all it. I love this resturant. Every single time I have been, the food is exceptional and service is great. The menu offers plenty of options to choose from, at fair prices. Burger was burnt and dry, service was bad and The interior is rather dusty. I am allergic to dust and I couldn't stop sneezing for the entire time there. We came here around 6pm on a Saturday and they were not that busy, but the waiter seems to be anywhere but near our table. Food took more than 25 minutes to come out, when it's all said and done I think we were there for more than 2 hours. Nothing stood out, and there are other options in town. The second time I've had a bad experience here and as a local I'm over it. There are far more better restaurants to waste any more time dealing with the incompetence and rudeness of the Cornucopia staff. The food is sub par as well, and salted to all get out. The server I dealt with the first time snapped at my brother to "not sit down yet!!" as he was moving out of the way of other customers, and this second time they sat another party before us because they "checked in" (unbeknownst to my folks who hadn't been here before...there's a small note in chalk on a small sign out front that they missed to check in inside) but the way the staff handled it was extremely uncalled for and rude. No need to tell potential customers "you have to get up now because there's other customers that actually checked in" honestly there are much better ways to go about it. This place is great for lunch or dinner. My wife and I have had both options. It is a casual dining experience with a some very nice options on the menu. We really like that they use locally raised meats. The burgers are huge and will definitely fill you up. We really like the Hush Puppies with Ranch. I don't think we have had a bad meal yet. The service is also very casual. I feel that the some of the waitstaff could put a little more effort into at least acting like they care that you are there to spend money. All in all though, I am sure we will be going back. Mainly because we really enjoy the food there. read more

I love a good burger, and Cornucopia claims to have "Eugene's Best Burger" so I decided to put that claim to the test. A friend and I went on a busy Saturday night, and were seated quickly. The server was super friendly, but didn't check in very often. There are less than ten beers on tap, but they had some local favorites. Now to the food. I ordered the burger they branded as the best, the Jero Burger. It's essentially a bacon cheeseburger. My friend got tots, I went with fries, both of those were underwhelming. The burger however was anything but underwhelming. The bun and toppings weren't anything special, the cheese was good, bacon was average, but the patty was amazing. You can tell by looking at it that this patty was fresh and from taste it was seasoned perfectly. It didn't have your typical patty shape, and it made it feel even more unique and homemade. I don't think I would call it Eugene's best, but with that patty, it definitely comes in near the top in my book. read more

Been to Cornucopia a few times now. During our most recent visit the food was decent, but we were disappointed to have received poor service. We waited for about 40 minutes to receive three no-frills burgers, two of which we requested to come with onion rings. There was a minor mix up on the orders with onion rings (received fries instead). Our waitress didn't come to the table except to take our orders, drop them off and to drop off the check (no refills on water until dropping off the check, no check-in to see if we were happy with the meal etc.), and when myself and other members of my party tried to get her attention to correct our orders she served other nearby tables and did not come around to ours. From our table we could see her walking back to the kitchen on her phone multiple times after failing to get her attention. The restaurant was not busy - it was a Monday night and only three or four tables other than ours were filled. We would have been more understanding had the kitchen been swamped and the place been packed, but that wasn't the case. Our experience wasn't worth the price - sad to say we will not return. read more

Went to cornucopia again yesterday before the game. Have been there a few times before. Had the burgers for the first time which were really good! However they are drastically over priced in my opinion. 2.35 for an upgrade to onion rings and only having 6 on your plate is unacceptable. This is the reason for the three stars. Along with some poor experiences I have had there in the past with my family. Getting appetizers 2 minutes before the main course and also getting orders incorrect. My partner and I arrived about an hour and a 45 minutes before they closed. They took our name and put it on the list which we saw only had one person ahead. We waited an hour and 40 minutes only for the waitress to tell us that they weren't seating any longer. We are very disappointed in the poor service and communication we received while here. I'm not a fan of burger (sounds weird, I know) but all of my friends love this places' burger better than anywhere else. I myself have tried their Mediterranean rice bowl and it was good but not fantastic. Still this is not the reason that I'm leaving a four star review for this restaurant. That's because I was not satisfied with their service at all. There were six of us who went there for my friend's birthday dinner and all the process of getting order, bringing our meals and even getting the check took SSSOO long. I usually enjoy Cornucopia because of the food but my family and I will probably never come here again after the service today. We made the unfortunate mistake of coming here for Father's Day. We were seated at 9:45 and by 11:15 we had still not received our food. We had to hunt the servers down to take our order and give us coffee and the server forgot to turn our order in. We ended up leaving the restaurant without even eating because at 11:30 it was ridiculous. The staff was friendly but aloof and very inexperienced. I would strong advise not to come here. Best burger I've eaten outside of my own BBQ burgers and that's a high standard! Lol holy foodgasm. Good chicken, turkey, fish and veggie options aside from beef but their beef burgers are cooked to perfection. We felt at home at this bar and they even had Georgetown beer! (We just moved from Georgetown) Staff was welcoming and Jana was an awesome sweet server who accommodated to our mistake when my girl friend forgot to mention she wanted a turkey burger and not beef when they brought out a beef burger. I have come to Cornucopia B&B a few times when I visit my family in Eugene, usually this is a stop with my daughter. We like the Margaritas there, and it's a good choice for a pescatarian daughter and a carnivorous mom. I got hooked, then for a couple of years, every time I saw that on a menu, I would order. Every time, except the first time, the sandwiches were not good, the meat was fatty and gross, the whole thing so greasy. I gave up and vowed never to order that again. Well, a couple weeks ago, I took the chance and ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich at Cornucopia. LOVE!!! It was so delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked, lean, juicy!
