Corner 99 has a lot going for it. We've tried to eat here many times since they opened and we always missed the connection. Finally we made it work! Thank goodness. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is cute, the energy is good... and the volume is LOUD.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had two kids across from us screaming like they were auditioning for a horror movie, so conversation was basically optional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not the restaurant's fault, but definitely part of the experience. Now the food? Genuinely delicious. My husband ordered the pho and ended up emptying two bowls of chili sauce into it -- and it was still on the mild side. Flavorful, yes. Spicy, not so much. If you love heat, you'll want to BYO fire. I ordered the tofu vermicelli and it was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, great texture -- it just needed a little kick to make it perfect. Same with the spring rolls. Still, I was honestly thrilled to see a full vegetarian section on the menu. As a vegan‑who‑still‑eats‑cheese (cheese‑itarian life), having real options felt like a win. And bonus points: they've got a killer local beer selection. Plenty of great choices, and it pairs perfectly with the food. Bottom line: Corner 99 serves great food with thoughtful vegetarian choices and awesome local beers, but if you're a spice lover, you'll be doing your own heavy lifting. And maybe bring noise‑canceling headphones just in case the kid choir is performing again.

My wife and I are regulars here for their banh canh cua and bun cha hanoi. Both dishes are so delicious. I don't even like banh canh unless I get it from here. The broth is so flavorful, full of depth, and the pork that comes with it is probably the most tender pork I've ever had in my life. The broth for bun cha is kind of lacking at most places I've tried in town, but not here! This place has easily become one of our favorites!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My friends and I visited on a Saturday night and surprisingly, there weren't that many people inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated right away and I noticed that the water cups/dishes they use here are pretty cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friends ordered an appetizer (skewer) and beer and said they were both good. As for the entree, I ordered the Bahn Can Cua (tapioca noodles with shrimp, crab, and pork). I'm personally someone who is super picky with anything pork related and really sensitive to gamey tastes. The soup was a little too strong for me at first but when I added the lime, it was significantly better. The pork slices, shrimp, and crab were all delicious! Overall, it wasn't the best bahn can cua I ever had but it wasn't bad at all! Service was good too.

Enjoyed this place, it's considered "modern Vietnamese" we enjoyed this place a lot. Simple menu, and portions sizes are decent. I read this review about the banh canh, so I ordered it. I got the chicken wings, pork chop rice, Cahn chua and their skewer combo. The wings were really good, the flavors hit. Pork chop rice was definitely one of the better pork chop I've had in Houston. It was tender and flavor was really good. I wouldn't recommend the skewers. All of them came out really dry and were lacking flavor. Other than that everything was pretty good.

There are a lot of Vietnamese options around this area, but this one is definitely worth trying out! I was in the mood for pho and in the area around lunch. I branched out and tried the lemongrass beef broth soup instead of pho. It was a treat and will have to become another go-to. It was plenty of soup for me to also have dinner. The broth and beef were so flavorful and hearty. The Vietnamese coffee was great too, super strong as Vietnamese coffee is and definitely a pick me up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The server was nice and it was a cute little place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here really wanting to try their fish sauce chicken wings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a modern interior decor with hanging light bulbs and plenty of natural lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Servers are quick and attentive. The tables are already set with a cool set of mugs and silverware, but had to ask for napkins. We got the corner 99 fish sauce chicken wings (appetizer) for an entree with a side of white steamed rice (extra $2). I got the banh canh cua soup. Chicken wings 5/5. Definitely tasted way better than it looked. Fresh, well seasoned and cooked. Amazing fish sauce flavor and not too watered down. Perfectly fried. Banh canh 5/5. Came with extra chili flakes and lime. The tapioca noodles were a bit slightly over cooked for my personal taste-- I like them a bit chewier. But the broth was so good, finished the entire bowl. The 3 shrimps were colossal, and the crab meat and pork were plentiful. Very satisfied with this meal and no longer will need to make our own fish sauce chicken wings. This place is legit!

Myself and my family have been coming to Corner 99 since it opened. We can order off the menu without even looking because we all know exactly what we've come for. Over time I've felt as though I may have been overreacting but our last visit solidified that we won't be back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cleanliness and sanitation is of the utmost importance when I'm out dining with my family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's no telling what happens in the kitchen but we of course can see what happens otherwise. One waiter that has been there a while has consistently bad dandruff. I let it go initially because he didn't serve us our food but in the back of my mind it was unsettling to think that could be flying into the food. This past Sunday we went and the man serving our food put a dish on the table and proceeded to sniff and wipe his nose with his hands before taking so much as a step back from the table. Not just a one off, repeatedly. I counted 3 times. He then proceeded to wipe his nose with his shirt and pick at his nose as he went to grab a cup of hot water I requested. He also got on his phone and took a call only to go back serving. My husband politely asked him to return the cup and wash his hands to which he obliged. That did it for me though. I was absolutely disgusted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That hot water was requested because we soak our silverware due to it coming in this community box that sits on the tables now instead of individually distributed utensils.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This done in order to enjoy a place we've come to from the beginning but it's just not worth it at this point. Hopefully some training will take place and more sanitary practices will begin for their current and future customers. They deserve at minimum, that. We, unfortunately, won't be back. To be clear, I did ask for the manager but was told they left after a large party was served earlier that day.

We ordered: - Pork skewer | 7.5/10 - Tender and flavorful - Salt and pepper calamari | 5/10 - Too salty and wasn't crispy - Bánh canh cua | Didn't try, but my mom said she would not order it again - Smoked brisket pho | 7/10 - Liked the brisket, pretty solid pho - Hot cheek dumpling | 5/10 - Dumplings were already falling apart before I even ate any. Wasn't bad, but wouldn't get again - Shaking tofu with fried rice | 5.5/10 - Sauce was pretty good, paired well with the rice. But tofu wasn't crispy at all which was disappointing - Thai green milk tea | 7/10 - A bit too sweet at first sip, but tasted better once the ice melted more

The banh canh cua was FIRE!! The broth was so flavorful and they did not skip out on the crab meat. This has got to be the best banh canh in Houston. Brisket Bun Bo hue was good however I think I would get the normal one next time. I personally don't think brisket goes with BBH however my fiance seems to really like it! The food is still delicious but I'm going to try another Vietnamese place in the area a friend told me about and see if their service is good. Corner 99 used to have a woman who worked there was very good and knew her regulars and anticipated needs like extra sauce before you even asked. Hire her back if you can

Second time stopping by since my boyfriend works next door! I'm very picky when it comes to Vietnamese food and this place was great both times. Consistency really is important when it comes to dining out! Service was phenomenal and everyone was so nice and attentive. They have a variety of selections, from stuff like goi cuon (spring rolls), to Bo Luc Lac (shaken beef), to pho, curry, and many more! They also have a bar and beers on tap that change I believe. I love how thoroughly explained the dishes are and was even given a little background on the history. Came by during their 4th year anniversary and during the day they had lion dancing. I had one of their seasonal beers on tap, I forgot the name but it had a mix of dragonfruit, banana, and berry. I'm not a huge fan of IPAs or beers but I really enjoyed this one! We also had: (*these items were on their special menu) Chao tom: we ordered another serving after, my boyfriend really liked this one! Wonderfully charred. Crab egg roll: I really liked this one a lot! I like the type of wrap they used for this, it's not your typical egg roll wrap. Quail with sticky rice: the quail was cooked well and the rice was good paired with their pickled veggies. I'm not a big fan of fried rice but I liked this one! It wasn't too oily. There are ample seating but it was a full house when we came in! We sat at the bar though and there is also a tv as well to watch games, news, whatever is on. Very cute place. We've been waiting to try this place pre-Covid and we finally paid a visit. So glad we did, because the food was amazing and the beer selection was equally excellent! We got the satay sampler; wow! The Mr.T wings; outstanding!! The veggie pot stickers are on point and the egg rolls were perfectly crisp and delicious!! We will be back to try the rest of the menu!! As far as COVID-19, the place is spacious and ventilated. They use disposable utensils and everyone was wearing a mask. Come support local businesses!! read more

So yummy. Corner 99 is a good place for a quick and casual lunch / meal alone or with friends. They have lunch specials that include more than enough food for one person. My visits have never had any issues. Service is decent, and the food is tasty. I tried the egg rolls for the first time, and they are sensational. I would go back just for egg rolls. read more

Was an interesting Viet Fusion restaurant. I got the chicken and rice plate and my fiancé got the Tofu with fried rice. The Calamari was on point, great seasoning. Its a plus that they had Siracha hot sauce available, right now, it seems like most restaurants are serving the off brand version. Ambiance is nice! Most traditional asian restaurants servings will be big enough to share via family sizing. Just an FYI - the plates come out big enough for individual servings, but I felt like it was worth it! read more

Big shout out to corner 99- I am a Vietnamese spring roll SNOB and their grilled pork VSR were one of the best I've ever had we love supporting local and the owner is really nice! Another plus- they highlight local breweries around the US and change their beer offerings bi-weekly. This donut one was delicious and from a trendy spot in Brooklyn. read more

++SOLID LUNCH SPOT IN KATY++ Finally, we found a high-quality Vietnamese eatery in mom's neighborhood. PARKING ======== Plenty, in a strip mall, across from the Andretti facility. AMBIANCE ========= Clean, masculine with black and gray colors with steel industrial interior. Looks like a modern Vietnamese pub. I love the concept, totally different. FOOD ====== CRISPY FRIED EGG NOODLE WITH BEEF I haven't had fried noodle in a while, so I decided to be adventurous and ordered this without asking for their recommendations or specialties. Turned out pretty darn good. Fresh sauce, good ingredients, and the noodles were crispy nicely. RATING: 4/5 The husband ordered the clay pot with seafood and rice. It was spicy and delicious, too. BEVERAGE ========= CAFE SUA DA They make the drinks onsite, so it's legit and yes, I finally taste chicory and not overly sweet! So far the best cafe sua da I tried in Katy and I tried many. RATING: 4/5 SERVICE ======= Quick and efficient. Staff avoided eye contact and chatter, which is fine if you're an introvert (which I am not). Restaurant was clean, service was okay. Ordered the shaking beef with an egg. My egg was way over cooked to the point that the yolk crumbled and the exterior was like plastic. The beef had exceptional flavor minus a couple of undercooked pieces. The meat skewers are highly recommended. The beef, pork and chicken are well seasoned and well prepared. Egg rolls and potstickers were delicious. Ordered a flight of beers but the server must have misheard and just brought a glass of beer. They have house made lemonade but just an fyi, no free refills for that. Overall, pretty good. read more

I tried this place out today base on the reviews. The staff were friendly and nice, but I wasn't wow'd about what I order today. The pork vermicelli bowl was just ok but not great. Missing a lot of flavors. I had better bowls at Roostar restaurant. My mom also notice lack of flavor! There bowls are packed with flavor. I had to doctor it up with more lime juice, hot sriracha and hoisin sauce. Also had the soy wings, they're nice n crispy, but just ok. Too expensive $13 for 6 wings! That's like over $2 per wing. read more

This viet cafe offers some amazing dishes! This was my first time here and everything tasted pretty good. I loved their fried rice with shrimp/meat. All the flavor was there when it came to the rice. I believe all the entrees are shareable so it's good to bring some friends/family here to eat. You can't go wrong with spring rolls as well. I'm definitely going to be coming back here with my family ! read more

Pho hunt continues. This place was rated so we were excited. Dropped by today. Only table in the entire place. All Corner 99 for ourselves! Our server was amazing. Friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered a bunch if stuff to check out the menu. It was not what was expected. Pork skewers were 'hand on heart' the most terrible skewers you can imagine. If I did not know better I would have sworn they used pig intestines. Pho was $13! That is NYC prices! Calamari was ok but way way way salty. My wife commented that it felt like we drank sea water. It was that bad. I know I know. This is not what you wanna hear. Nor do we. We want this place to work but it does not. Check out the pictures and judge for yourself but this family is not heading back here anytime soon. read more

First time trying this place out and here is what we got: 2 Piece Grilled Pork Spring Rolls Grilled Meat with Fried Rice Shaking Beef with Fried Rice Potstickers (not pictured) Beef n Chicken skewers (not pictured) Everything was super fresh and great tasting. The potstickers were nice and full which was pleasantly surprising because most places skimp on the filling. The grilled chicken was for my kids and they really enjoyed it( its hard to get them to eat new things) so definitely a plus. The shaking beef was super tender a little on the sweet side but with the little seasoning stuff with a lime on the side it definitely made it taste great. The rice was very good as well i did add a tad bit more soy but thats just my personal preference. It a little price but its definitely worth it plus you will be left stuffed and a little extra for the next day which is always a plus when ordering out. All in all we will definitely be ordering again soon. read more

Wanted to try somewhere close to home & found this place on google maps. Very polite & welcoming staff upon entering & our entire time there. The water cups are cute & the water tasted good + refreshing. My brother got a beer but I'm not sure what kind (he said a strong one ‍). He got the fried egg noodle & cleared his plate along with his beer & said it was very good. My younger sister got the pop stickers & egg rolls and immediately said she would definitely be coming back to eat with friends. I got the grilled pork vermicelli & the flavor was top teir soooo yummy & as you can see looked that way as well. Definitely would come back, I did take one star off because they sat us at a dirty table & had to clean it off but that wasn't a big deal & again they were really welcoming, friendly & attentive. Great food at a great price, simple and too the point! I've come here twice, both times service was fast and food was amazing! I definitely recommend this spot for a go to dinner spot or weekend lunch, I hate not seeing this place super packed because the food is amazing and more people should support a local business rather than the chain restaurants in the area! We randomly found this restaurant on Yelp and I'm so happy we did!!! Their pho was delicious and you could tell the meat was quality meat. They had a large variety of beer selections and some were local. Their team was very attentive and provided great service! read more

I really enjoyed my whole meal here. If we are ever in Katy again we will definitely be stopping by. We started with the shrimp skewer and veggie potstickers. The shrimp skewers had great flavor and I loved the dipping sauce that came with the potstickers! I ordered the Tofu Vermicelli bowl and it was amazing and the tofu was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend and I ordered the pork skewers, grilled pork spring rolls, and one bowl of pho for each person. The grilled meats were very flavorful, tasted just as we expected thit nuong to taste like. We did not enjoy our pho soups. Me, being vietnamese, could not finish my bowl. The broth did not taste like pho and the noodle to meat ratio was bad in my bowl and inconsistent in the other bowl. I had all noodle and less than 5 pieces of meat and my boyfriend got all meat and almost no noodles. This restaurant has a minimal, modern feel to it. They provide one package of hoison and one package of sriracha, and it wasn't enough to up the flavor of our dinner. Hi guys!! If you are ever around katy or Richmond you have got to stop in to Corner99! This place is honestly so good! it's vietnamese food and they have a great beer list as well. (Mostly local and some not). They also have wine as well. No liquor. If you don't drink, you can always get a vietnamese iced coffee. They are also delicious. Here's some pictures! My favorite item here is the thit nuong. It was flavored very well and was juicy. Aside from that, I also had the wings, bun bo hue and also pho. All in which were just ok. The pho broth tasted like it wasn't made with bones and had more of a pho seasoning added. I wouldn't come here for pho or bun bo but would recommend getting the com thit nuong. read more

I bring family and friends here whenever I can, and everyone loves it. Their take out is quick and still as tasty. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, the prices are modest and fair, and the whole experience feels like a breath of fresh air compared to Los Angeles dining. Parking is plentiful, and while Katy Asian Town has many good spots, Com Tam Saigon is always my favorite. Reliable, delicious, welcoming -- this place never disappoints. Try it!

The coffee shop is part of a shopping strip that includes other popular businesses like Aji Ramen and Hoodadak. The ambiance and decor are quite lovely! The cafe is much larger inside than I expected, and it was super clean with good, reliable WiFi. We just stopped by for a few minutes and were recommended the honey nut latte as one of their more popular drinks. We got it hot. It was perfect! Not too hot, definitely not cold, great flavor, strong coffee flavor, and not too sweet. There's also a wall of fancy teas that's definitely worth checking out. (See my photo.) Service was also good! Nice, kind employee and the drink came out quickly. Luckily there wasn't a line when I arrived and only 2 other people in the cafe chatting at the time. I walked out in shock because, what? Out of all the boba spots that I have been to, never has anyone smelled my drink. In fact, I used to work at a boba shop and never has it occurred to me to smell a drink and not remake it for a customer. Like, I don't know what methods you use to confirm ingredients but you couldn't even take the drink to the back to smell it? You did it in front of my face? I don't ever ask for drinks to be remade unless it tastes nothing like I ordered, I just go about and let it be but this genuinely appalled me. I go to Wanpo and I enjoy their Mango Sago drink but this experience has led me to never come back because... are you serious?

Well, today, I came in the morning to work from here & to give it a try and wow! The place was non-stop busy from 8-1 pm with a line to the door throughout the morning. The breakfast croissants were delicious and unlike anything you have likely tasted before. The pastries were simply phenomenal! Presentation & taste. Service was outstanding. The ladies came around often and the food & drinks came out pretty fast. The space is a bit small for how crowded it gets and it's a bit too loud to work from here if you have to take calls. The outdoor seating spaces are nice, especially on a pretty day, but the tables get filled pretty quickly. Overall, I highly recommend it
