The grand opening sign is still out front, even though they've been open since 2024, which already felt a little odd. Saw an ad on Instagram and decided to give the place a try with pretty low expectations, but somehow those expectations still got lowered. Ordered the Korean short ribs rice to go while my girlfriend got a stew. The stew was actually decent, and she enjoyed it, but my dish was overwhelmingly salty. The rice was drowned in sauce and tasted mostly like heavy soy marinade with very little balance. The short ribs were tender enough, but the flavor was way too strong and one-dimensional. I ended up throwing most of it away after a few bites. Pickup was fast, and the staff wasn't rude, but the food doesn't justify coming back. Found this place from a Houston foodie Instagram account and tried it recently on a Sunday for lunch with a friend! The interior felt refreshingly cozy and is laid out like a diner. For appetizers, we got the #2 Vietcorner cheesy tornado fries (nonspicy version) and #3 cream cheese wonton (6 pieces). The tornado fries was 1 large spiral-cut potato powdered with cheese dust which was flavorful and delicious. The cheese wontons were relatively small but also delicious. My friend and I shared 1 entree, the #44 shaking beef that also came with yellow rice, veggies, and fish sauce. The beef was soft, as it should, and there was a reasonable meat:rice ratio. Overall, relatively cheap Viet food (our total for 2 apps + 1 entree + tax + tip was $32) with reasonable portions and a cozy atmosphere. Came in for a snack. Decided to have a meal. Driving by I've always been curious to try out the food here. I stopped by and got the fried chicken plate. Service was swift and the portion is huge. Place was very clean when entering. Smelled really good too. Was greeted and sat down with menus. Service was very attentive from start to finish. Food was amazing and full of flavor. Ordered quite a bit since we wanted to try almost everything. Shaken steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Beef short ribs was also cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. Beef stew had lots of flavor and a good spice to it. 21 spice chicken was nice and crispy. House special pho was rich with flavor Appetizers were egg rolls (pork and veggie) nice crispy and full of flavor. Crispy chicken was a good crunch with an amazing sauce. Cơm gà xối mỡ is a favorite dish of mine. And this place have done it well! The portion is huge. The skin is actually crispy and flavorful. You will definitely get your money worth. Got pho dac biet, which comes with lots of meat but the broth was bland which was disappointing as the broth is what makes good pho. Eggrolls were average. My girlfriend got the Beef offal soup which she enjoyed. One recommendation I would make is to cut the tripe pieces smaller in the pho, and step up the broth. I would give this place another try for the banh mi and rice plates. read more

Clean, new, easy to find. First time here to try out. First time I've had Beef Offal Stew. It had a different flavor than what I expected, more cinnamon flavor, but was pretty good. I had it with noodles instead of bread. My wife had the Fish soup, she loves Fish. She said it was good, but got full rather fast so she brought the rest home for breakfast tomorrow. My daughter had the chicken and fried rice. She's picky, but liked it, she's a garlic lover and thought the sauce was great. Again, she only ate about half, she had lunch at school three hours earlier. Very friendly staff and owners, we will probably go again. Keep up the good work and great food. read more

I'm beginning to wonder why I hadn't come to this place any sooner. I keep passing by this restaurant over and over again until today when I finally went in and gave it a try. And it was a gamble that truly paid off. Right away I was greeted and offered a seat and my order was promptly taken. I ordered the egg rolls and grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl and both came out very quick and both were very delicious. The restaurant wasn't very busy and it was quiet and clean. All the tableside condiments were well stocked with hoisin sauce, sriracha sauce, and fish sauce, along with plenty of napkins and straws. Will I be back? Great set up, love sitting in a booth eating some good food, I ordered the Com bo luc lac (shake N beef, there's also a chicken option if u don't want beef.) Tried them for the first and last time. Customer service was friendly. I got two sandwiches for $15 and informed them to please DON'T put jalapeños because those sandwiches are for my kids. Don't know if cashier messed up and didn't inform the kitchen or kitchen messed up and made the order wrong. We were in a rush so we took the sandwiches to go. Well, there were jalapeños in them! Kids' mouth were burning and their lips swollen. They do not eat anything spicy at all. I had to hurried and run to a gas station to get them some milk. All this stress and pain they caused my kids and I could've been avoided if they just made the order correctly, it wasn't a hard request. The service was okay, but the actual food i did not enjoy, there was no flavor to the broth, the noodles tasted like they where overcooked. I had to add alot of the sauces that where on the table to taste like anything. The place looked nice but overall i wouldnt recommend. This was just my experience. read more
