4.5 Walked to Elmhurst for late lunch at another place but good that we walked by so I got reminded that this place opened. Ordered by the entrance, paid the bill (cash, venmo or zelle) then picked up our bags. Got a bit more than a lb. of Roast pig with crispy skin for sharing, and a couple of roasted duck over rice. Included 2 water bottles (for each meal I guess). At the time we got 20% off. I asked for chili oil but got ginger oil instead which was better. I like the the meats here. Have had pork with an off-taste so I've been buying mostly from one place in the city. Can't have too often but glad there's a place much closer. Packed with a generous amount of vegetables. Small place. Enough for some people ordering and waiting inside. Seating for only 3 people. No restroom.

Recently opened Corner 28 in Elmhurst. It's fun to watch staff take down a chicken, duck or roast pork and see them cut up in pieces and put them with rice or packaged alone to take home. Have tried the roast pork, duck, chicken as a rice place with comes with a side of nappa. It's the best bargain lunch. Right now they are still offering 20% discount at Corner 28. Also got the Peking Duck buns for a $2.75 a piece, slathered with hoisin sauce with a slice of crispy duck with fixing in a bun. Will be back for more. One day, I passed by and group of men hanging out watching as staff chop up the meats. It's was packed inside, so be prepared but the line moves. Lots of staff working there and they open till 9PM. Usually go and order and take out. There are places you can sit. Happy there are more places like this in Elmhurst, NY now. So, I do not have to travel to Flushing, etc... Do not forget to check your order to make sure you got what you ordered. One time ordered roast pork with duck and they only gave roast pork. Another time good thing checked bag, they gave the duck order to someone else.

Corner 28 just opened in Elmhurst! They are the same as the Flushing store . This store is very small but worth a visit! First, you can eat on the count but it is tight inside and there is only four stools. Their roast pig on rice is delicious and the duck sandwich at $2.75 each is definitely great. Ordering is by station! First order in the middle, get a receipt, go back to pay station (cash only), get receipt stamped then go pickup you orders. They are fast! Get a water with you food too. Parking in the area is tough; look for meter on Queens Blvd.

Great place for roast meats in Elmhurst. It's already well known in Flushing. They have 20% off the roast meats including with rice boxes. It's $10 for 1 roast meat item with rice and vegetables (napa cabbage) and 20% off that+tax, so less than $10 is a great deal. Plus they give a huge portion of roast pork and rice. It's good for 2-3 meals for small eaters or shareable. The roast pig with rice has lesser pieces of meat, but still a good amount with lots of rice. I just added half a soy sauce chicken and it's the perfect mix of meats and rice and cabbage. They all taste pretty good and very good for the price. There aren't that many roast meat places in Elmhurst, so it's a great addition to the area. This is solely a take-out place. There are no seats. It's cash only, but it's cheap.

Got a roast pork over rice this time on my way to work. Paid effortlessly through venmo (they have a code you scan). Promo is still going on 1/26/26. Paid $8.71 for a great meal with rice, so much meat and veggies. They also throw in a bottle of water!

Very good service and good food. This is their new sister store of original store in Flushing. They offer 20% off for their grand opening. Not sure if it ended. The inside and brightly lite and clean. The menu is big and easy to read. Most of the items are $10. Average priced. They will fill the many needs with the Chinese community in Elmhurst.

I was surprised to see that they were opening a Corner 28 on Grand Ave. It's a convenient addition alongside the other stores in the Elm East strip. I stopped by during their grand opening, and the staff were very welcoming. They had a promotion where the barbecue meats were 20% off. I no longer have to venture down to Elmhurst Ave for barbecue meats. The roast pork and pig were pretty tasty and flavorful. It's super bright inside, and the place is more for takeout since it's pretty small.

So glad they opened one so close to home~! The Soy Chicken and Roast Pork is legit and delicious! The staff is so nice and accommodating. I can't wait to try the Peking duck and other roasted meats they offer!

The menu here is split into two sections, classic American Chinese take out and Sichuan cooking…read more Seems to be a fairly popular take out spot, as they were fulfilling many delivery orders while I was there, but the interior is comfortable and elegantly decorated unlike a standard take out only spot. I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

The noodles were crispy and fresh. Eggplant was spicy but not too spicy in fact it was very crispy and pretty ok and I take dumplings very serious and lemme say they're good but a bit salty and soft. This was relatively satisfying experience a bit on the expensive side but the staff are incredibly nice always checking on us to see if we needed anything else or wanted for food and tea. Great staff and the ambiance is relatively relaxing very interesting. BUT BUT BUT HALT the downside is a bit too much MSG in the food Haiyahh!!!. My mouth felt dry after and was very thirsty but overall still decent. But I may have to reconsider going there again tho...

After walking around for 30 minutes...looking at chicken - American, Korean; burgers -premium, non-premium; sushi; and ramen nothing was appealing to me. After asking if the restaurant accepts credit card, they said yes. If they didn't, I would have had to find a bank and probably left since I didn't want to walk anymore. They gave me a cold glass of water, which I quickly drank since I didn't know I was dehydrated. She refilled my glass while I perused the menu. Thank you so much! Finally saw beef and tomato broth which would be great for a cold day. Ordered and it came very quickly. This hit the spot without me knowing that this is what I wanted. Warm, cozy, meat vegetable and noodles... the pretext meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal. Always great food especially when you don't know what you want to eat sometimes.

I got an order of scallion pancake that is somehow both over and under cooked and just filled with oil. I got a lunch special of chicken with broccoli in a garlic sauce. When I tasted it, I had to check that it was chicken. This was the fishiest, worst chicken with broccoli I've ever had. I called them to make sure it had no fish, they laughed at me and said no but the flavors don't lie. It's in the garbage now uneaten

But when you don't have the luxury of a car and you don't want to pay 40 dollars on UberEats for good Chinese food, you'll be convinced to try your luck in the area. Not gonna lie, I chose Dumpling House because it was the closest Chinese food near me, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The women who greeted me at the counter was friendly and took my order: one large hot and sour soup and a small house special fried rice. I wouldn't recommend coming on a hot day because the shop can be hot if you're waiting for takeout, but the wait wasn't too long. After about 15 to 20 minutes, I was walking home with $11 dollar takeout. The hot and sour soup is pretty good and I've had a lot of hot and sour soup in my life. The consistency is not too thin or thick and the flavor is balanced (not too sweet or sour). For 5 dollars, I think it's a steal. The house special rice is good and not too greasy. For some reason, it still tasted Americanized even with the Asian ingredients I was used to. There was some chicken, barbecue pork, mixed veggies, egg, etc. and the ingredients mixed well despite it tasting American. Even though I got a small rice, I still had some leftover to eat the next day. Despite my obviously biased Asian tastebuds, I was very happy with what I got and I will definitely be back for some more hot and sour soup!

When life is lackadaisical and you need an uplifting force or encouragement for catharsis to be resilient as an awakening, dumplings are summoned. It brings presence to every bite for awareness and genuine aliveness. My emotional pain cannot be disconnected for healing. As I sat in silence I checked my email waiting for my order fulfillment and arrival. This business is a local cafe, not quite a restaurant but very Asian specifically a medley of Chinese dumplings and heavy Japanese decor atmosphere. I was very bewildered of this dumpling business is Japanese or Chinese cuisine, or possibly both incorporated? Asian fusion? Japanese beckoning cat, maneki-neko 招き猫, is heavy presence for decor atmosphere throughout the entire cafe. There is one large Japanese beckoning cat with one paw raised in a beckoning gesture by the cash wrap register. This beckoning cat is adorable! The menu is very simple offerings but does not describe the contents in detail. It is not a extensive list as it is a cafe. The server/cashier advise to order first, sit to eat and pay last like a full service restaurant. This business has been listed in my Yelp bookmark to try for a long time. The slightly warm temperature has teased me to induce Spring Fever as the first full day post Daylight Saving Time, 2026 and I was outdoors for walk as exercise. Sauces and condiments are available at a station counter. There is one large TV. Background music is somewhat loud audible and sourced by Spotify. Customer service is average. There is one unisex facility on the premise and is relatively clean. There is a small parking lot in the front shared with neighboring businesses. This business is located in a small shopping complex named Metro Plaza. Chicken dumpling noodle soup, $12.00 The dumplings were pan seared fried, unfortunately not traditionally boiled especially for noodle soup. The dumplings are average. The noodles were rice vermicelli with half boiled egg and scallions in Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen soup base broth. The Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen soup base broth and half boiled egg is a replica of Japanese Ramen noodle soup. It was served piping hot. Chinese soup spoon Tangzhi ladle where the end is at a angle is provided with one disposable wooden chopstick as utensils. Jasmine Tea, cold $1.50 This was awful! It was one tea bag filled with ice. I did not taste the Jasmine aromatic flavor. Stay away from ordering any drink as Song Dumpling Cafe is good for dumplings. It is certainly no bubble tea business to obtain quality Chinese tea.
