This is a really out of the way quick lunchbox place in flushing. It is a no frills counter only restaurant. You walk in, and order. Their menu is extremely limited and right on the window. Food comes out quickly as most are pre prepped. Unfortunately the food is a little pricey here. Each lunchbox came filled with rice and cabbage with the meat choice on top. At the time of review, if you purchase enough, they give you a free side of char siu and sauce too. Out of everything we ordered, we found cuttlefish to be the best tasting. Our soy sauce chicken had a minimal amount of soy sauce and was dry. Roast pork was a little soggy, but that may have been from the steam inside the box as the rice was hot. Nothing was too salty. 3.5 stars I was in the area so I wanted to get a lil char siu for my mom. It was very lean, but really meaty. I tried a few pieces and I got full. Not as salty compared to other spots, we didn't use the sweet soy sauce that usually comes with it. Obviously not the best roast pork but it was pretty decent for being so convenient, a block away from where I needed to be... I came back yesterday and I ordered char siu and soy sauce chicken over rice $9.25. Cash only. The char siu was very moist, not as lean as before but didn't have fatty pieces. Still pretty good. The chicken was too salty for me but I bought the leftovers home and L really liked it. More than the char siu.. cuz he prefers it fatty... Roast meats are supposed to be sitting room temperature. That's how it is everywhere. I've eaten it since I was a child growing up in Chinatown. They do not serve it hot, that would overcook the meat. If you want it hot, reheat it at home for a min or two. You can order it over rice and cabbage, that comes hot then but they add chopped room temp. roast meats on top. The meat does not get reheated. Nobody wants dry meat. read more

I was walking home from work on my usual route when I notice hanging meats at a window. That's unusual considering it wasn't there before. I was excited, considering I usually have to walk all the way into Downtown Flushing for Cantonese BBQ meats. You know, the kinda meat you pick up after work when you don't feel like cooking and you tell your boyfriend to wash rice cuz you'll pick something up. I think it's still their first week because there are grand opening plants around the shop and the meats are sparse. I haven't seen a roasted pig hanging yet, but let's try what they have. - Roast Pork, aka Char Siu: legit. Sweet, savory, a little lean, a little marbling. Ordered 1 pound of roast pork and it was way too sweet and some parts way too much fat. Compared to other places with roast meats I tried this place is just ok. At least other places put the meat in nicely in the container and not just throw it in there. Will try the other roast meats another time to give it another shot. read more

I was a huge fan of Wang Wang. When they first opened, the roast duck was amazing! It was better than any other place I've tried in Flushing. The meat was tender and flavorful. The skin was crispy and stayed crispy even until the next day! And with every order of the duck, they give you a little tub of the duck juice. I don't know other roast meats places that do that. A few months later, the quality of the roast duck unfortunately gone down. The flavor/seasoning is a little lacking. The biggest let down is that the skin is no longer crispy. Hope that they'll work out whatever the issue is and bring back the amazing duck. read more

Frequent customer here since most roast duck places are in downtown Flushing and this place is really convenient to get to for those who live in the Whitestone or north of Northern Blvd. Usually pick up 2-4 half lb meats to bring home for special celebrations or for nights when you're too busy to cook. The roast duck, red roasted pork, scallion oil chicken, and crispy pork always hit the spot. They are on par in quality with the downtown Flushing roast duck places, but I've witnessed the female cashier be extremely rude to patrons, especially if they're ABC and pronounce incorrect Chinese when placing orders. My sister and I stopped in for lunch. I got the 3 meat combo with white rice and cabbage. I got the roast duck, pork belly and ribs. I like the flavor in all 3 meats. Nice and tender. My sister got the marinated duck, which I loved. Really meaty and juicy with well-seasoned crisp and fatty but not too fatty skin. The roast pork could have been more tender and juicy but was still pretty good.
