    Was excited to try this place since its been some time since ive seen or even heard of a claypot restaurant opening up, at this point its a relic reminiscent of a chinatown long gone. Imagine my dissapointment when I ordered one of their claypot rices and it turns out to be lukewarm rice thats been slightly toasted, prepared in advanced and probably microwaved right before its served to you. The food itself, other than the claypot rice was just okay, the price was reasonable as well, just couldn't shake off my dissapointment at how poorly done the supposed claypot rice was

    Great if you're looking for some cheap eats. A better experience if you speak Mandarin, as the staff didn't speak English. Ambiance is okay - it's a very casual spot for a meal; many more delivery drivers came inthan diners. The claypot rice is good- rice comes pre seasoned though which isn't the authentic Cantonese-style, but it was still pretty good. Frankly you will get what you pay for. the premium beef is chewy, but hey it's still only $11 for that bowl. The dumplings are mad cheap too and they're quite good. and i loved the beef scallion pancake; the filling was delicious. Many of the dishes were oily... not excessively so, but it didn't have the most crust/crispy rice on the bottom due to whatever oil they use cooking the claypot dishes.

    The food was good. The service wasn't bad. The ambience was okay. Nothing really stood out. Some of my rice burnt. They might have over cooked it.

    I don't know if this is Taiwanese or whatever cantonese call sausage..... all I know it's definitely not worth it!

    Great prices, big portions, salty foods & only 1 waitress serving the entire restaurant!! The pigs feet & pig ears were under cooked & rubbery!! Don't get the pork or crab & pork steam buns since they don't taste good at all!! Overall, definitely wouldn't go back!!! But You can most definitely try it out & be your own judge!! Enjoy!!

    Food is horrible. It is cheap. We ordered beef brisket casserole. Beef brisket is chopped to pieces. It doesn't taste fresh,lacked the meaty flavor. Best dish is the eel rice casserole. Rice isn't oily. The dumpling taste like it is from the supermarket.

    In direct proximity of the LIRR Murray Hill Station, Mr. Bobo offers a rare exclusive focus on Cantonese clay-pot rice dishes, which are difficult to find at the more generalist Cantonese eateries across the city. Unfortunately this dish is not known for its vegetarian inclusiveness, and a miscommunication with the staff resulted in us ordering a taro rice pot that is decidedly not vegetarian. While the vermicelli rice pot was quite bland, the excellent house-made tofu pot redeemed the experience for us. The tofu appears to be similar to Japanese egg-tofu, with a custardy center that pairs well with a hot bowl of white rice.

    I got the eel claypot rice with snowflake beef add-on. My favorite part of claypot rice is usually the crispy rice on the bottom, but maybe because I ordered delivery, there was very minimal crispy bits. It tasted like they took the rice out of the claypot after 30 seconds. I was also disappointed by how little eel they gave me. The snowflake beef was just okay. The rice was also a little too saucy so it was a bit salty.

    It was my first time visiting, and I found the menu a bit difficult to read due to the small text. The appetizer selection was somewhat limited, and part of the menu featured hot pot and spicy dishes. We decided to try the pork belly, a clay pot dish, eggplant, and shrimp balls. The food arrived quickly and was served piping hot--just the way I like it. The pork belly was flavorful and delicious, although it didn't come with rice. The clay pot dish was a hearty combination of meat, rice, broccoli, and an egg. While I found the eggplant a bit too oily for my taste, it was still enjoyable. Service was attentive, and the restaurant was quiet, with only one other table occupied during our visit. I'm considering trying a few more dishes for takeout, as the location is super convenient--right by the Murray Hill LIRR.

    I've been searching for a clay pot rice/ rice casserole specialty restaurant for months!! I was so curious when Mr BoBo popped up on google maps. We came on weekday around 8pm. The restaurant is pretty spacious and was about half full when we walked in. They were out of the snowflake beef casserole so we ordered the braised pork ribs ($8 + $3 for chinese sausage) and the cha sui casserole. Both came with broccoli and a fried egg. We both liked the braised pork ribs one more. It was saucy and flavorful. The rice was crunchy at the bottom - just amazing! The cha sui one was dry and the rice at the bottom got burnt. The lichi shrimp was also very delicious. The waitress was very sweet and accommodating. Overall, this is a solid place to get your rice casserole fix. I can't wait to be back!

    The ambience is stellar. They put a lot of effort in the decor. The service was decent. So why isn't the ratings higher? It's the same reason I don't like a particular Vietnamese chain in Flushing: it's not authentic. Majority of the reviews complained about the flavor profile being off and the lack of sweet soy sauce, so I must mention something to get it out of the way: this place is NOT Cantonese. It's Cantonese-influenced, but it's not Cantonese. I thought it's a dead giveaway with the Taiwan Pop in the background and how the establishment speaks mainly Mandarin. But if you didn't know, now you know. And try to see it as an Cantonese-influenced restaurant and you might be more forgiving that there's no sweet soy. - Beef Udon Noodle with Black Pepper Sauce: very peppery. Udon is chewy. It's a good dish, but I don't know if the claypot was necessary. - Claypot Eel over Rice: Flavorful without the need of extra soy. The only complaint is broccoli. Why is it broccoli. I was sharing this dish with a friend who hates broccoli, so I ended up eating all the broccoli. Broccoli isn't even a traditional ingredient to claypot rice, maybe they should switch to chinese broccoli?

    PREMADE. Don't except good quality. You want good quality? You need to order more. Got their clay pot rice to go with sausage and it was pretty okay. I think the sausage was good, or expected, but I feel like everything else was lacking flavor. BADDDDD SERVUCR NO ABSWER ME CANCEL MY ORDER??? ANGRY. But called them they said it's ok??? NO PPL THERE EITHER. One star for price.

The star of the show turned out to be the giant sized pan fried flounder which was not only big but quite scrumptious. Unlike the little scrawny flounder that most other restaurants usually served this was a quite large and very meaty and perfectly cooked. The last dish to come out was a very large plate of chicken fried rice with salted fish. If it were not for the lack of heat, I would have given Chef Wong Bistro 5 stars!
