What's really cool about this place is that they have "chilled" skewers which are skewers that were roasted, then chilled again. I will come back to try that. The one star that was taken away is for ALLLLL the disposable cutlery that is wasted. "Go green" people will absolutely lose their mind here because everything is plastic and paper, even some Styrofoam. Eating a stew/soup with a plastic bowl is definitely not ideal.

They have all the classic skewer options from chicken to beef to lamb, some seafood, and more. There are also full entree items as well. We mainly came here for skewers and overall, it was just okay. The food came out pretty quick. The skewers have a good amount of meat on them but we selected spicy seasoning and they were not spicy at all. There's more chili flakes on the table as well but I prefer when the seasoning is tossed on as it's grilled. We also ordered the beef noodle soup which was pretty disappointing cause there were only a few very small pieces of beef in it and the flavor was bland. Staff doesn't pay that much attention to you throughout the meal, which is fine, but they were certainly attentive when I was paying tip. They got very aggressive when I wanted to tip pre-tax vs after tax. I wouldn't come back here. I think there are better skewer spots around, especially since Flushing has so many these days.

When it comes with Lamb Chop and Kebob / lamb on stick, it's extremely dry, I told the waiter it's dry and guess what he told me? He said " you need to eat it ASAP. Otherwise, it will dry out!"... I got it, basically, I need to wait by the kitchen door in order to eat ASAP. Lol. Literally, we eat it right after they leave it on the table. ITS VERY DRY! Btw, some dishes need to wait for One Hour and 30 mins. So we had to give up on it. For the service like this, with the bad attitude that one of the waiter is offering. Originally located nearby for many years, this shop recently moved into the New York Food Court a few weeks ago. They specialize in cuisine from Henan, China. What the region is known for is their lamb soup and lamb noodles. Well, no doubt they are one of the best there is in all of NYC imho. Few weeks ago, I stopped in for their delicious Lamb Soup w/ Vermicelli & Lamb Innards 羊杂粉丝汤 and it was excellent as usual. Instead of getting the equally yummy Lamb Noodle 羊肉烩面, I ordered the Old Luoyang Beef Soup 老洛阳牛肉汤 instead. This milky broth came with stripes of pancake for dipping. Well, if you like beef soup instead of lamb, then this is for you. I have not tried everything on their menu simply because I can't get past their soup products. Service was casual & pleasant enough considering our language barriers. The portions were much bigger than we anticipated for the reasonable prices. We had to ask for boxes because the leftovers were not going to waste! 1. The cumin crusted lamb was UNREAL. It must have been deep fried for the meat to be that succulent & the cumin seeds to be crisped but not scorched. I am OBSESSED with this dish & am going to try to recreate it at home. We ate the cold leftovers hours later and haven't stopped talking about this dish. 2. I LOVED the black fungus cold salad with cilantro & sesame oil & my husband who is not a fan of that mushroom normally was very impressed with this example. I have thought of this salad daily since eating it. 3. I ordered the pig ear and that was the one dish that was fine but nothing special...I just like the texture. We had no room to try some of the unique desserts but we will be back next time we're in the state!

They were deep into the adult beverages on their tables so I thought I would duck inside to check out a take-away menu. It is such a small spot that when the door opens and you walk in, it is obvious, so it is a little intimidating unless you speak Mandarin (I don't) and it would be awkward to try to back out unnoticed. So I did what I always do in that situation, which is to enter, fumblefu*k around in English and give my best impression of a forlorn, hungry guy willing to spend some money to get fed. There were 2 service staff that were on me immediately in a nice way. They helped get me oriented with an English menu and a $3 beer and I tucked into a strategic corner to consider the large array of authentic offerings on the menu while watching the parties going on around me. My take-away order was substantial in portion sizes for the price. They get high marks for that and I thought the taste was good if but a bit on the salty side. Despite the saltiness, there was plenty of mouth-numbing Sichuan peppercorn paresthesias assaulting my lips and tongue after! There were many interesting items on the menu that I would have tried had I been more than 1 person (I was not sure I could eat an entire portion of offals alone) or had I been eating in the restaurant (they have things that do not seem like they would travel well). It just made me want to go back. Here are some of the things on the menu that you won't see everyday outside of a bona fide Chinatown: Boiled Blood Curd in Pot; Hot Spicy Frog; Pork Feet with Hot Sauce; Ox Tongue and Tripe; Jelly Fish Heads; Stinky Tofu. There are about 15 other dishes on the menu that would make for either a great eating adventure or a good museum collection for a psychopath depending on your world view. I see that there are some negative comments on here about this place and I will agree with the comment that I found the food to be heavily seasoned, almost overly so. But I enjoyed what I had and am a fan of their price:portion ratio. I found the wait staff to be friendly and helpful. Plus, there was obviously something that the 40 or so drunken Chinese natives in the place knew about going here for a great time and a good meal. I would tend to side with them over one or two low Yelp ratings. I'll be back for sure.

They serve Cantonese style stewed beef. At first glance, it seems a bit expensive, but you get so so much meat. It's well worth it imho. We're talking about melt in your mouth to firm bites with chew. For me, it's a party in my mouth. Btw, the flavors are spot on and very traditional to what it should be. Their menu allows you to order all beef, small or large. You can also order the version with veggies, which is stewed daikon radish. The portions are substantial, with the large size being plenty enough for two. I ordered a large Selected Beef Offal ($18.99) and watched as the server cut up meat for three minutes. It was satisfying to watch. Currently, they are offering free rice noodles with the order of beef. Otherwise, it's an add-on for $2 along with a list of items. He quickly dips the noodles into the beef broth and serves it on the bottom of the bowl. Then he adds a handful of daikon radish with some broth. On top is the five cuts of beef, scallions, cilantro, and some bird's eye chili. The server finishes it off with some chili oil and another couple ladles of beef broth. This was a fantastic bowl of good eats. I really hope people don't stay away because it's one of the pricier vendors in the food court.
