Went for brunch today with my wife. Had the egg white frittata, sourdough bread and the steak tacos, mimosa & cappuccino. Everything was excellent. Sat on the patio, very pleasant & peaceful. Very disappointing dinner. I treated my mom and her neighbors who are locals. Service couldn't have been more off. Took forever to get cocktails and order dinner. Then prior to the dinner arriving my guest ordered a glass of wine. It never came. We asked for chilies with the pizza which arrived almost after the pizzas were all eaten. My guest asked a second time for his wine and after not receiving it , finally got up and got it himself. At that point dinner was all done. I had him get me a glass as well so he wasn't drinking alone. At a minimum they should have comped the wine which they didn't. We couldn't get a to go box for the leftover pizza and we were never checked on the entire dinner. The restaurant was crowded but not packed. In fact the table next to us was empty. It is Coachella weekend but again nicely booked but not full. There is no excuse for the lack of service and attention. The food was good not great. I would give it another chance based on food quality but after this experience would not return. read more

Hugely disappointed after wanting to go to this restaurant for two years. Our out-of-town guests who are foodies were so polite as the four of us endured a completely disappointing evening of the worst food I recall having at any restaurant. And relative to quantities prices are high so even IF the food was delicious it probably would have been over priced for most people though we don't hesitate to spend for exceptional food. Preceding the food, the waitress spoke so fast under her mask that she was largely unintelligible to all four of us AND she would not help our guest with adjustments for her food allergies; very rude. A woman who may have been the manager - who was very familiar with the kitchen - finally helped with our guest's dietary preferences but even that resultant item was marginal, though the effort that that courteous waitress (or manager?) was appreciated. The best part of the evening was our gracious foodie guests, who could have been critical, bit their tongues and expressed appreciation that we tried... and mistakenly believed the restaurant reviews. Never again to Cork and Fork and thankful that the valley offers many far superior options. read more

We walked out!!! We were ignored at the door the waitress saw us and didn't great us. She finally came and sat us at the bar and we were ignored as well by the bartender so we walked out! More like 3.5/5 stars. We ended up getting the lobster shooters, deviled eggs, crispy cauliflower and goat cheese bruschetta. As for the drinks, I got a la Quinta desert blond and the gf got a chardonnay. Everything was delicious and executed fairly well...except for the lobster shooters. Don't get me wrong, I love me some lobster, but the fact that half of the shooter glass was butter, was kinda weird. I mean, only paula deen would find it acceptable to shoot butter... Lol The goat cheese bruschetta was my favorite... Rich and plentiful. I guess we were lucky, apparently you need reservations for this place and we walked in at around 6 and found seating at the bar... We checked OpenTable and saw that the night we went was completely booked out. Everyone around us got pizza, so if I come back to this place I might try one. Also, I feel like pizza might have been a brtter deal, since they are roughly the same price as the other tapas, and you probably get more food with a pizza. read more

I've eaten here about 5 times over the past year, but no more... Midweek dinner for 2 was $100 with 3 glasses of wine and meh tacos. I've had so many better meals elsewhere in the desert at happy hour for half that amount. Service was good, hostess was okay this time (2 previous times we felt insulted just showing up for dinner). We have been meaning to try Cork and Fork for sometime, due to a friend craving about the food. We finally went there this last Sunday for dinner and from the minute we talked in we were kindly greeted and opted for carseats. Our waitress/bartender was Kayleigh (sp?), she immediately poured us water and explained the Pri fix menu, the plate sizes and poured me a lovely French Rose. Our dinner was amazing and we cannot wait to return and try more items on the menu. We started with the Ahi Nachos and truly the best I've ever had, gorgeous presentation too! We shared the crisp Brussel Sprouts, salmon, Scallops and Bread pudding. We were not overly stuffed, we felt we had the right about of food. The tastes and preparation was all perfect. I really don't leave reviews for places but felt like I had to. The hostess was the one who greeted and sat us promptly. My girlfriend went to the restroom for a couple minutes came back and we sat with the menu for over 15 minutes without seeing a waiter come by our table. In that time we overheard a server tell the hostess he's waiting for the rush, watched another table be sat and assisted by their server immediately, and another table right next to us being checked on. I made eye contact with the servers several times and not once were we checked on. Safe to say we left. Definitely a bummer because we've been wanting to try it but definitely won't be back. read more

Cork & Fork is one of our faves whenever we are in the area for the weekend! We've been several times and each time is just as good as the last. You cannot go wrong with the lobster shooters.... Not only is it tasty, it is also nicely presented (the li'l forks get me every time). The goat cheese bruschetta is delicious.. so many great flavors that blend together just right. This place is still going strong in its new location. Very nicely decorated inside and they now have a full bar for drinks. We had the Prosciutto and Burrata appetizer that was excellent. Bread was crispy, cheese was great and the drizzle was very tasty. We also had Expresso Rubbed Pork Tenderloin which was delicious. Sat on a bed of white sweet potato purée that made for a great dish. We have always like this place and they continue their excellent food tradition at the new place. Service continues to be excellent. There are small plates and also there are chef's plates, which is not the size of a traditional entree. This suits us personally, but beware of this before you go. Prices appropriately match the plate sizes. read more

Was seated in the corner after asking for the booth seat. Immediately I saw a dirty knife on our table. 4 mins later she sat a couple at the booth next to us. She then came back and asked the other couple what they wanted to drink. She came back with their drinks. Still hasn't asked us what we wanted to drink. I waited 7 more minutes. She never came back. BE AWARE!!! They charge 4% surcharge when paying by credit card. This was not disclosed to us beforehand and is illegal in California (if not disclosed). We came to the new location (loved the old one) and the ambiance is not the same. It didn't feel warm/welcoming at all, maybe also has to do with all the bright (almost neon) lightning. Food came out way too fast even though it wasn't busy. Everything felt rushed. Had a salad to share among other food, the portion was tiny, the small bowl was only filled on the bottom. Ordered cocktails, they were delicious but $17.50 each, the price was not shown on the menu (all other items have prices on menu), which almost seems a bit sneaky. The only positives: the food was good and our waitress, Keyla, was fun to talk to, very attentive and helpful. Overall we will not be back, as there are too many negatives. Very disappointing as we absolutely loved the old location. read more

My wife and I ate dinner here recently. We ordered an appetizer, the goat cheese bruschetta. It was alright but nothing amazing. Entrees were the lobster risotto and the Korean pork belly BBQ sliders. The risotto was not fully cooked and lacked flavor, it really needed salted and the lobster was just meh. I think this dish would greatly benefit from something acidic, and more seasoning. The pulled pork sliders were sort of more of the same. Nothing super flavorful that would leave me coming back for more. Portions were very small and I left feeling hungry still. We also ordered drinks, my wife a glass of red wine and I had the pickle ball punch. Might be somewhere to grab a drink and small bite to eat but I would skip this place for dinner. read more

The best meal this week! 5 = food 5 = service We ordered several small plates and larger plates. Everything was delish. Ahi Poke Nachos had the wonderful blend of flavors including togarashi aioli, wasabi caviar and sesame seeds and the fried wonton skins were perfectly crispy. Their soup of the day was cream of mushroom. It's the best mushroom soup I've had in a long time. Flavorful. I'm guessing several types of mushrooms. Grown up grilled cheese and lobster sliders. The grilled cheese came with braised short ribs which were very tender. Lobster BLT was bursting with flavor. Can't go wrong with bacon, right? Finished the evening off with two delicious desserts: Sunday Sundae and Apple Crumble. The Sundae was topped with salted caramel gelato, ganache and candied pecans. Great service. Went during Restaurant Week & ordered off of the Specialized Menu. Food was tasty, nicely presented, came out perfectly timed & on hot plates. Our waitress was nice & gave me an excellent recommendation for Wine. 2011 Moss Roxx Cabernet. She also advised me that the top of the list of reds is lighter & gets heavier. Maybe that's common knowledge but I don't pretend to be a wine snob. Haha... Reasons it's not quite a 5 Star in our book: It was a tad warmer inside than my husband & I like to dine in. He rarely complains & he ended up making a comment to me about it after. The loudness of people talking & enjoying their food in a small restaurant is quite loud. My vocal chords need a rest now after trying to have a conversation with our friends. :-) Don't know how that could be remedied... Bottom Line: We'll go back again another time...maybe during happy hour to check that out. read more

Went to the new location for the first time recently. Atmosphere is good but nothing special. What is special is the new 4% surcharge for customers choosing using their credit card. While this may be a trend is some higher cost purchases, since when has it become a thing for meal? Will Andi (the owner) soon be passing along a surcharge for ice in my drink? Using her logic, I do have the choice when it comes to ice or no ice, right? What then is the difference between the cost of doing business and the menu price? My mom and I went here tonight to try out the Restaurant Week menu. This was our first time. Pros: the service was very good. Our waitress was there at all the appropriate times and gave us good service. The space feels upscale and comfortable. Our favorite pick was the filet minion tacos. Perfectly seasoned and the corn tortillas were delicious. The lemon & blueberry tart was also perfect. Mom didn't like the house scotch but I loved my cosmo. Cons: First and foremost, the wine offering leaves a ton to be desired. I was really hoping for a larger offering. It's literally one of every category & that's it. Grilled watermelon was nothing special. I make this at home quite often and I think mine tastes better Ahi tuna was ok. Nice flavor but could have had more complexity. I will say this about the lobster risotto. So much lobster but it just fell flat. I have to admit, I was hoping for more here. The Hawaiian banana dessert was super sweet & too heavy for my liking. Overall, nice dinner but I don't feel the need to go back. read more
