Service animals need to work from the floor in restaurants. Just because people need attention doesn't mean they get to put their dogs paws on a dining table or be cradled in their owners desperate arms above a surface where their dander can fall on the table or on the tables next to them. They should also not be sitting in chairs where diners sit. I don't wanna leave a restaurant with dog hair all over my clothing. I personally love dogs, but would never allow my dog to put its paws on a table or hold my dog above the dining table in a restaurant where other people, possibly people with allergies dine. I personally think it's ridiculous that people need to bring their dogs to restaurants but at the very least the restaurant has a responsibility to the other patrons to keep the animals below the food preparation and consumption areas. I really hope that you guys will address this.
