The croutons were out of this world, a proper mate for the salmon... extra anchovies for me!

Beautiful, comfortable room with indoor / outdoor seating. The vibe immediately relaxed me, as the bar staff said hello. The little things! Our server was friendly and seemed to enjoy her job. Got our order in with friendly banter. Excellent cocktails, and when one was off -- it was remade without fuss. But the food. We went on Monday night which is Prime Rib night. My friend knew this and was savoring it... no disappointment at all. I had the grilled caesar with salmon... outstanding. Salty and savory... just perfect. We skipped desert but I visited the loo and it was bright, clean and offered a view of the Paseo Hotel where Larkspur is based. Gorgeous art! Thumbs up all around.

While in the desert we love to pop into the Larkspur Grill. It's a great location they have a very very good menu. And they have entertainment. What more could you ask for. The service is exceptional sometimes there's a slight wait because they are very busy. The ambience on the patio is lovely cool Coachella Valley breezes sunsets and a clear view of the stage, if you're there for the entertainment. If you sit on the patio you can also hear the music perfectly. The flat bread was amazing the burgers are good and bacon wrapped dates are delicious. We were there to see Will Donato, because he never let's you down. The whole band is amazing and always a great setlist to dance to. If you want to go out and have a great meal and a great time. Check out the Larkspur Grill. And if you can ever find Will Donato, make sure you make it over to see him.

Larkspur Grill will definitely be on rotation for me in Palm Desert. Came for Mother's Day brunch and the vibes were immaculate. This restaurant is located inside the Paseo Hotel and don't judge assuming that since it's a hotel restaurant it's average, that thought would be far from it. The service was on point (being a holiday weekend making me even more impressed with how stellar the service was), the food was fabulous, and the drinks were beautiful. Definitely make a reservation - you can't go wrong here though, the outside seating was shaded and cute, inside was stunning with their decor and wall art, and even the bar was welcoming you could definitely sit there if you want something more casual. There isn't a bad seat in the place. Again, service was beyond lovely. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Our waitress made Mother's Day special by being so kind and on top of things. We were also impressed with how quickly the food came out. Very good pace and they don't keep you waiting long. Another plus in my books. Great space from order being taken, cocktails coming out and then the mains. The menu is solid with a great cocktail and wine menu. I was impressed with all of the options. For brunch they had a nice menu half breakfast and half lunch. This restaurant feels slightly more upscale so most of the mains are around $20 give or take for brunch. Cocktails are also up there but well worth the price when it comes to presentation and flavor. My cocktail was the Lavender Dream. The cocktail wasn't purple but instead bright hot pink but beautiful. The flavors were delicious, great if you like a sweet drink which I do. The hibiscus sugar rim was stunning. Beautiful drinks. For our meals I had the wedge salad and because I am weird a side of pork sausage (I had a hankering for both breakfast and lunch bites). My mom had the eggs benefit and added tomato slices which was a smart idea. She loved her eggs Benedict and they were cooked just how she asked. My wedge salad wasn't only visually stunning but delicious. Crispy bacon, cold iceberg lettuce, and saucy, just how I like it. I'm also glad I ordered the side of breakfast sausage as they had a nice mild quick to them and were very tasty. Meal, ambiance, service, and decor was a 5/5. This place is awesome and I hope they are always maintaining this kind of a standard because I'd definitely be back. The price point makes sense for the experience and you get what you pay for. This spot could be great to celebrate any occasion and I'd definitely be back.

Me and my sister took a mini vacation and we were told by the hotel that they had a restaurant we were planning on maybe exploring elsewhere but we decided to give it a chance and we loved it ! the staff was amazing the live performances were great and the food was delicious definitely if you stay at this hotel dine and brunch here we did both

Nighly entertainment at the Grill. (Some nights- check) Ton of FUN! GO!

Food terrible! Fillet Mignon way overdone, food mediocre at best. Cocktails were great! Unfortunately I won't be back.

FACILITY: Small, limited seating indoors with very nice, fun, outdoor seating areas. Love this place. MENU: Simple, easy to understand, great photos online if you have any questions. FOOD PREP: Very well done, like professional in just how it looks. FOOD QUALITY: Professional in how it also tastes... Watermelon Gazpacho was perfect with drinks prior to main. For my extended family out here in the outsize long-jump pit of Palm Desert, Sweet Basil has become…read morea go-to location for celebratory meals of late. Unlike so many other parts of trips out here - the oppressive heat, dodging careening buggies driven by seemingly lost and possibly inebriated golfers, and the discovery of sand in eyes / nose / shoes / liver - it's a tradition that sits very well with me. I'd even go as far as saying that the food here makes all of the above worthwhile. The restaurant has a car park to the rear and limited street parking in front. The interior has a lovely ambiance, quietly refined by subtle lighting and a gentle arboreal theme. I've seen it busy and our party has also had the place to ourselves on late visits, but I'd definitely recommend a reservation just in case especially with a larger party. The staff provide attentive and genuinely caring service, and the portion sizes are substantial and easily justify the more-than-reasonable cost. The food itself though is the reason this place is always a highlight reel spot for me. Every dish is a feast for the eyes as well as the palette, beautifully presented and packed with flavor. My personal go-to is the perfectly seasoned and healthy Harvest Salad, usually with an added protein (the blackened chicken adds a real flavor kick and the variety in texture that I love in great food). Fortunately my partner happily defaults to the opulent and delightful Lobster Lasagna, as I'd be loath to miss out on a bite or three of that too. Appetizer-wise, I'm yet to regret any soup-of-the-day choice. The Zucchini last night was... well... yep, perfect is no overstatement. Sweet Basil is an absolute gem, and a must-visit for any visitor here. The only even remotely negative things I can think to mention is to be aware of the rather early closing time for at least part of the year.

They have a long bar and two inside seating areas, as well as an outdoor patio (not in use during our visit). I also loved the glass wine cellar, which has a table to seat six and can be reserved, but there are some minimum purchase requirements on food/wine. FOOD: We took advantage of their Passion4Pinot special menu, a curated four-course experience ($54.60/person) with an additional wine pairing ($25/person). Farouk, their Sommelier, did a fantastic job pairing the wines with the food, truly one of the best pairings we've experienced. Since this was a "special menu", I'll let my pictures speak for themselves as each course was simply delicious. In addition to that, my mother-in-law started with a cup of the soup of the day which was a Cauliflower Bisque ($13). For her entrée, she had the Hi'ilani Shrimp appetizer ($20). Again, both items were simply delicious, and each course was perfectly timed out, so nothing overlapped (a pet peeve of mine). Overall, a wonderful first experience and won't be our last. I highly recommend you check them out.
