Amazing service from Alan! It was extremely hot outside, so we decided to relax at the bar and watch the soccer game. As first-time guests, this ended up being our favorite part of the stay. Alan went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a great time, and his friendly, attentive service truly stood out. You can tell this resort genuinely cares about creating a great experience for its guests. On top of that, Alan makes some of the best drinks we've had. Thank you for making our visit so memorable! we'll definitely be back! :)

Really nice food, I had the spaghetti and meatball. Loved the atmosphere with my family. Service is excellent. They feature nightly specials. Agave is part of the Westin Willows resort and open to the public, we stayed at the resort and get a 10% discount.

Drinks outdoors near the pool.

This is the place to be. The food is perfectly prepared & tasty. They especially have fantastic pizzas on Thursdays & you can't go wrong with the skirt steak from the Friday menu.... Kudos to their chef team. Best part of the Agave Grill & Bar experience is the opportunity to interact with bartender Kevin... He mixes & pours top notch drinks, while adding to your fun with his engaging personality. Kevin has a no BS approach to having a great time at the bar. Don't miss their daily happy hour. Enjoy!!!

Came in based on photos of a very old menu. Had a glass of wine (happy hour) and a plate of delicious loaded nachos. Adding photos of current menu.

If you think that $20 for a Grey Goose martini is OK, then this place is fine. The atmosphere was OK, sparse sports bar.

We are trying to explore places we have longed to visit…read more Because we are already at the Loft Hair Studio for hairstyling this morning, I took my husband out for lunch as part of his birthday week. We got to Gastro grind at around 12 or so and saw a bunch of people on the patio and enjoying some really great looking food and brews. The place is really fun inside with list of some very appetizing drinks and a menu that really excited me for all the variety of burger and sandwiches and salads. Joshua gave us a warm welcome and helped us with our questions. I wanted to try the bistro burger without the bun even though I love brioche. He suggested I make the bistro burger into a bowl. This creation comes with a yummy salad of arugula and fresh tomatoes surrounded by at least a half of an avocado so beautifully arranged. Now, if you put caramelized onions on something you have won my heart. The flavor of the burger was already outstanding, but the onions really elevate this dish. I decided to go with the sweet potato fries as my side order. We both had really great fresh iced tea with lemon. Sweet potato fries were really really good with delicate flavor. My husband zeroed in on the Oinker which includes not only a great burger, but pork belly and fig jam. Fig jam is another one of my passions. When he was nearly finished with his burger, I was hoping there would be a bite for me to try so I know what I'm talking about in my review. My brain was saying, I could never order anything, but the bistro burger, but when I tasted the Oinker, I realized that I could go on and explore some more of these amazing meals because one is just as great as the other. The piece de resistance, for his happiness was the perfect onion rings. You know when onion rings are authentic and made on the spott. He's still talking about the onion rings and he'll probably talk about them for days. I also wanted to bring home something nice for my son who's in school and so we ordered an ABC sandwich which has pork belly and other delights. I'm sure he's going to like this because he's a foodie as well. The ABC has avocado, bacon, cheese, braised pork belly, mozzarella, tomato, arugula, on a grilled sourdough bread. We usually have differences of opinion on our foodie tours but today, I sat in shock as my tough reviewer husband raved on and on about this wonderful lunch. I hope that you will give the sweet little gem in Palm Desert some love and experience some of the amazing food that they produce. It will take us a while to work our way through this crazy menu we admire so much. They are on the north side of CA - 111 and there is plenty of parking.

Disclaimer, this review will be based off a dining in experience on Aug 8th…read more The restaurant was a bit warm as we arrived, we almost debated leaving! Given the weather, we decided to still give it a shot since this location was on our must try list. We were greeted immediately by friendly staff who offered us to seat anywhere we'd like. Cold beer on summer special ($5-$6) fixed my partner back up for a moment until we felt the AC kick back on. lol. We had the Bistro Burger with Truffle Fries and the Oinker with Tater Tots. I was excited to try the Oinker after seeing they had fresh pork belly posted on their instagram that day. The Bistro was DELICIOUS! Unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan of the Oinker after trying my partner's Bistro burger. The combination of ingredients felt dry, the burger wasn't as hot, and I realized there was no cheese in this either. What's a burger without cheese? :( I wish the server forewarned me! Maybe a grilled onion would also be better suited? I also asked for a side of their lemon aioli for my fries, and ended up adding this to my burger to add some extra sauce. The tater tots and fries were perfectly crisp. And I usually don't finish my fries, but we ate every last bite of these plates. Overall, great! I would return to try more of their various burger offerings.

The service was excellent, the signature cocktails inspired, and the wine list isn't huge but the selections are impressive at all price ranges. At dinner, we ordered the mini wedge and mini poached pear salads. Both were excellent and good sized portions for being 'mini.' For our entrees, we had the cioppino which was incredible. Teeming with high quality seafood like Norwegian salmon and scallops, it's enough for two. The scallops were perfectly cooked and serving them with purred squash, pork belly crumbles, micro greens and pomegranate made for a well composed dish. I think the star of the show was the glazed sea bass with broccolini and rice. Also perfectly cooked and seasoned. I would order everything again! The service in the dining room was excellent as well. My only complaint is the extra 4% they add for using a credit card as I feel this fee is a restaurant's cost of doing business and should not be passed on to the customer, especially when entrees are upwards of $50 per plate, and the $7.50 split plate charge which I just find to be ridiculous because it costs nothing to wash an extra plate and always feels like a sneaky way to make you order more than you want to eat. Those two things aside, this is one of my favorite restaurants in the area at this price point. We will definitely be back.

Excellent service with a personable waiter. Second night we were seated too close to live music and moved so we could talk. Favorite starters were Peppercorn Crusted Ahi and Japanese Crispy Pork Belly ( just a teeny bit dry). Best entrees for us were Seared Scallops and Sonoma Duck Breast. These were both dishes to go back for. Steak was well made too. The supporting veg sides also very good, not just plate fillers. The Baby Wedge Salad was a nice option. Hope to try the Roasted Beet Salad next time. Don't really recommend the Dutch Molten Lava Cake because it was dry & nothing special. Crème brûlée option excellent. This spot harkens back to the 80s without being outdated.

75188 US Hwy 111, Indian Wells, CA 92210 Dined: September…read more11, 2026 Price range: Entrées approximately $38-$46; cocktails generally $15-$45+ This was my first time dining at The Nest, and my first impression was very positive. It's a nice restaurant with an attached bar area that had a DJ and was very lively on a Friday night. We chose to dine in the restaurant portion, where the atmosphere was a little more conducive to dinner and the service was good. I had the Chicken Piccata ($38) and thought it was very good. It was flavorful, the serving size was fair, and I felt the price was reasonable for the quality and the restaurant. Others at our table had the Pacific Sole Piccata ($46), and there were several appetizers and salads available in the $19-$38 range. My one disappointment was the cocktail pricing. Many of the drinks start around $19 and can go all the way up to approximately $45. I had a martini that tasted fine, but it was surprisingly small for the price. At those prices, I expected a more generously sized cocktail. Other than the drinks being overpriced in my opinion, I enjoyed the experience. The food was good, the service was solid, and the lively bar and DJ give the place a fun energy if you're looking for more than just dinner. Overall, a solid four-star first visit. I enjoyed The Nest and would definitely return in the future.

We started with dinner and ended up staying for the music, dancing, and all the fun that makes The Nest such a special place. I ordered the chicken piccata and honestly, it was the best I've ever had. The service was wonderful, and even though we were seated near the piano in the bar area where it can get a little loud, that's part of what makes it such a fun atmosphere. The best part of the night was having everyone together. My niece's boyfriend was visiting from Ireland, and we laughed and danced all night. I especially loved seeing my sister-in-law out on the dance floor and having so much fun. It was one of those nights where people of all ages were dancing, laughing, and just enjoying being together. We had such a great time that they went back again the very next night. The live music was fantastic, and it was great seeing Nick on saxophone. The crowd was a fun mix, the energy was high, and the whole place just felt happy. A coworker recently went during Restaurant Week and couldn't stop talking about the steak, the generous portions, and the peanut butter pie. The Nest has been a desert favorite for years, and there's a reason. It's always nice to see Dodi there and how much pride she takes in the restaurant. Most people think of The Nest for the music and dancing, but don't miss the food. It really is that good! One tip: go early or make a dinner reservation so you don't end up waiting in line. The Nest is still one of the most fun places in the desert!

They also forgot to bring out the burger patty we ordered for my dog. Instead, we were repeatedly asked if we wanted boxes, as though they were more concerned with getting us out the door than making sure we had a pleasant dining experience. Not once did anyone ask how our food was or whether everything was okay. For a restaurant where you expect good food and friendly service, this was a huge letdown. Very disappointing, especially when basic customer service shouldn't be this difficult.

At first glance, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's really cool inside. There's all kinds of firefighter memorabilia on the walls, and it wasn't until the second time we were here that we realized that the glass "walls" are actually garage doors--as in the place opens up like a firehouse, but for nice weather instead of local emergencies. The patio is also very nice, although it has always been too hot or sunny when we came to eat out there. As you might expect from a restaurant run by firefighters, there's a lot of meat. I mean a lot. I mean every single thing includes meat, including the vodka penne and all of the salads other than the Caprese--and who likes Caprese salad? The good news is that the servers are very good at recommending either ways to demeatify a given dish or what to order that might not be on the menu. No, there's no secret menu, but it can feel more like visiting your friend's house than going to a restaurant. The second time we came, I had some questions, and the server ran to the kitchen to ask the chef before she had even finished taking our orders! The service truly stands out here. We've had a different server every time we've eaten here, but one of our old servers remembered us and said hello even though we weren't in her section and we hadn't been here in months. Somehow, she remembered us as the people going to Tempe (we were headed to Phoenix proper this time). Everyone seems to enjoy working here, and there's a very good balance of relaxed and efficient. When they're busy, the food can take a while to come out, but it's a slightly longer than usual wait--not a terribly long wait. Pay attention to the hand-drawn signs outside. They're punny, sunny, and often quite funny in a dad (who drinks too much) joke kind of way. When you're coming from the 10, it can be difficult to find the entrance to the parking lot. The restaurant is in the corner of the parking lot, but the two entrances aren't close to it. Enter either by the Carl's Jr. on Gerald Ford Drive or the Cold Stone Creamery on Cook Street.
