My husband, four friends, and I decided to check out Neil's Lounge for karaoke, and we had an absolute blast! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The drinks were fantastic, reasonably priced, and generously poured. In fact, days later we were still talking about how good the drinks were and how much fun we had. We ended up ordering some food while we were there, and the fries were amazing. Sometimes bar food can be an afterthought, but that definitely wasn't the case here. The KDJ did an outstanding job keeping the energy up and making everyone feel welcome. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and helped create a great atmosphere throughout the evening. Another thing worth mentioning is that the bathrooms were clean, which is always appreciated and says a lot about how a place is maintained. Most importantly, every single person in our group had a great time. It's not often that six people all walk away from a night out completely happy, but that's exactly what happened. If you're looking for a fun karaoke spot with great drinks, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere, Neil's Lounge is definitely worth checking out. We can't wait to come back! read more

I've been debating how to actually rate my visit here this past weekend. Our group of gals came to celebrate a bachelorette party. With 13 in our group, we arrived around 8:30pm ish. Luckily, plenty of tables throughout open to accommodate our group, without splitting us up. We snagged one of the six top tables, right at the dance floor/ DJ booth and the lil bar table right behind. The bartender was friendly enough to answer my lil questions if they had Ginger Ale, Red Bull, and Patron. Patrons can pay about go or run a tab. And pitchers of water are at the bar area too. As the night went along, our group, the group next to us and many others participated in karaoke. It was an absolute blast! Grab a piece of paper in front of the DJ booth and jot down your song of choice and have at it! Duets are welcome too! I loved how the crowd kept the pace going. Different music genres. Since it was my first time here- I didn't expect staff to take drink orders. That was definitely a plus! A water pitcher was placed at our table also. *I decided to take an ibuprofen before we arrived & even brought a Liquid IV pack. My rule of thumb is (at my tender age)- I wanna have fun tonight, but not pay the price the next morning! LOL I portioned my LIQUID IV between my Patron margaritas and cups of water. I asked our wait staff if food is served in the evening, and it's not. Now- this is where not just mine, but gals in my group as well had concern. Around 9:30pm - I was about to walk into the Ladies restroom. As I'm in that hallway- you can smell the stench of puke. Yes, in the hallway it's a bit muggy. When I opened the restroom door, the first stall- by the sink- is closed, purse on the floor and puke chunks laid out. Ughhh! I used the toilet right next to the first stall. When it was time to wash my hands, I knocked on that stall & asked the gal if she needed any help. VERY faintly she said no. As I went back to my table, I told my group what happened. Some of us went to security and explained the situation. For 2 hours, security allowed the gal to still remain in that toilet stall. As the night went on- my group and other female patrons had a look of disgust when they walked out of the restroom. Even during this time- friends from my group even asked if this inebriated patron needed assistance. As time went on during this period- the stench was appalling! I gagged a few times and even puked when I had to use the restroom. Many of us wondered why a situation like that was allowed for that time frame. And from our observation- she was by herself. Because the many times I had to use the toilet from the onset of this issue, to the gals in my group doing so- this inebriated patron did not have another gal checking up on her. There's a huge outdoor patio out front w/ many tables and a huge flat screen. Food truck was available around 11:30pm? read more

Neil's Lounge totally lives up to its reputation as one of the Coachella Valley's top bars--in the best way. Walked in and the place was clean, super sociable, and genuinely friendly. The bartender immediately introduced himself, asked our names, and made us feel like regulars five minutes in. Big Cheers energy here. The crowd skewed more 50 yrs old+ locals, everyone posted up at the bar, chatting, laughing, clearly comfortable in their spot. Drinks are well-priced, no nonsense, and they've got karaoke if you're feeling brave (or just want the entertainment). I can already tell this would be a great spot to catch a football game or any sporting event--laid back, fun, and zero pretension. All in all, exactly what a bar should be. Three of us ate lunch here for the first time. Our first impression walking in was wow, this place is dark! Bartender was super friendly and said "give it a few minutes and you'll be fine". He then said we're known for our burgers but we have a quarter rack of ribs for lunch today. We all had different types of burgers and they were all delicious. They ranged in price from $13-$15 with fries or rings $3. The bar scene was all locals bellyed up having drinks and a good time. We got there by 11:30 and were out by 12:45. The inside was definitely set up for karaoke or a band as there is a DJ booth and dance floor. It appears to be a great place to hang out with some friends and enjoy a cold one. read more

We were on our way to Big Bear Lake, but wanted to watch the World Cup Semifinal. We called and spoke with Josh, who saved us a table right in front of one of the big screen tvs! He and Theresa provided stellar service and the food was great. One of the best pastrami sandwich we've ever had, and the onion rings were light, crunchy and tasty. Only come here if you want to get beat up. We were on a family trip, and my brother in law was minding his own business, singing karaoke, when five men ganged up on him and hit him in the face multiple times. He was left bleeding while the bouncer and staff stood by and did nothing. No attempt to help and no concern for safety. This is not just a bad experience. It is an unsafe and poorly run environment. I would never recommend Neil's Lounge to anyone who values basic safety. read more

Great dive bar! They are ranked #52 in the country. Now, why I go there. The service. The bartenders, jos5h, Eddie and Manny are always there to greet you with a smile and a cold beverage. Drinks are strong, cheap and fast. I play the juke box Everytime. This is a cheers bar through and through. Everyone says hi when you come in. Ok, the food. The cockybull has some of the best food in town. They have daily specials. Thursday is 2 massive delicious burgers and fries for $15. Friday is fish and chips with steak fries for under $20. We split this and can barely finish it. Ok now the best .. fried chicken in Saturday. 4 pieces, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and gravy with desert for around $20. Oh and breakfast on Sundays only. Went to Neil's Karaoke Bar and honestly had mixed feelings. The bar itself is cool--good vibe, fun space, and it should be a great karaoke spot. Unfortunately, the karaoke jockey completely ruined the experience. We signed up to sing at 11:00 PM and didn't get called until 1:26 AM, which is ridiculous. During that time, it was very obvious he was playing favorites--one group of girls sang four songs before we even got a single turn. No explanation, no acknowledgment, nothing. On top of that, the KJ, Jim, had zero energy. He barely spoke on the mic, didn't hype anyone up, and didn't create any kind of fun karaoke atmosphere. Karaoke lives and dies by the host, and this one was just bad. Cool bar, but if karaoke is the main reason you're going, be prepared to wait forever and possibly get skipped unless you're one of the favorites. read more

I was at Neil's on a Sunday night at around 10:30 pm. I'm never out that late but my wife was working OT and I was home most of the day and wanted to get out for an hour They were out of Coors Light so I ordered a different beer After I sat down I noticed about 250 people standing around screaming shouting over one another. They were obvious people who like cheap drinks and who don't have anywhere to be at 8:00 am on Monday morning. I was going to have 2 beers but the noise was so loud that I had to leave after one beer. Maybe I go back at 1 pm on a Tuesday when most of these people are still sleeping. Oh the Security people are worthless. To get back to my car I had to walk through a dark alley with 5 homeless people while security was sitting in a chair and playing Candy Crush on his cell phone. read more

I think everyone should experience Neil's! It's Kareoke every day! It's got a taco truck some nights. It's a great place for anyone visiting to go to! It's mostly locals.
