Steak Frites (substituted the frites with broccolini)
    EM H.

During E*TRADE's annual conference, Directions, held at La Quinta Resort & Club in May, 2019, I had the pleasure of staying at Old Hollywood's original desert hideaway and dining at one of the hotel's onsite restaurants, TWENTY 6, on multiple occasions. TWENTY6, named for the year the resort opened, is a modern bistro & bar that serves American fare and cocktails in a relaxed yet upscale setting. Nestled on the ground floor, in the restaurant and shops plaza across from the bougainvillea-filled main entrance and lobby, TWENTY6 is a beautiful place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. The dining room's decorative stamped-metal ceiling is a nod to the art deco concept and the daily ample sunshine invites visitors to enjoy a bright and cheery meal. TWENTY6 features a "casual chic" menu offering elevated comfort food, utilizing seasonal ingredients to create their diverse and ever-evolving menu. At my last lunch here on the 17th, I ordered the scrumptious Steak Frites, substituting the fries with broccolini. The meat was perfectly cooked medium rare and the broccolini were fresh and crisp. My cousin, Michelle, had a Seared Salmon Local Spinach & Quinoa Salad, a thoughtfully crafted bowl of greens that was hearty, healthy and delicious. We were thoroughly impressed by our dishes. Service was consistently friendly, thoughtful and accommodating. I would happily return to TWENTY6 if/when I stay at La Quinta Resort & Club again.

    Pasta and Burger

Food was okay, bland and expensive, we ended up paying $17 for one mimosa, which was mostly OJ. The pasta was hard and not very tasty. Burger patty was really hard to tear into as well. The only good thing was the tater tots. The waiter wasn't the most welcoming and didn't explain drink prices. But he wasn't rude just didn't seem happy to be there.

Half order of Huevos Rancheros. We split an order. They put each half on a separate plate. 10/10 taste and beautiful presentation.

On our last day here we ordered the Huevos Rancheros and it was the best. We split it and they brought on separate plates. Beautiful presentation. Fresh soft tortilla. Absolutely delicious. I also ordered my favorite blueberry muffins. Other mornings here we split an Eggs Benedict and had a pastry tray. First morning pastry tray had four pastries, second day three pastries. But they were yummy. Pastry tray comes with a nice large fresh fruit bowl. I ordered a poached egg on the side one day. Poached eggs taste a bit vinegary. The coffee is just weak. In all our days there we'd not have a good cup of coffee. Lattes were weak. They need a new coffee vender besides Lavazza. Service is excellent and it is a beautiful outdoor setting.

The breakfast here was pretty decent. But the dinner was awful . We ordered the flatbread and it tasted like I was back in my high schools cafeteria eating pepperoni pizza. The service was good but they need to work on their food quality for dinner

While saying here at the resort I want to grab some lunch so I checked out the menu online and I saw a couple things that caught my eye, so I walked over from my room and sat at the bar. I was greeted by Marvin who was my bartender/ server. He was so nice and very professional. It was nice and cool inside as well. I started off with a Pineapple Express cocktail and then ordered some buffalo cauliflower and a prosciutto flatbread, both were so delicious.

We went there for brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a section just for us, which was really nice. The waiters were really nice as well very courteous and attentive. Our food was brought out on a timely basis and it was pretty good. We also noticed that there was a patio outside and the hotel itself is beautiful.!

A quick visit to LQ Resort

Well this is a resort and as such, sometimes events can spoil a nice afternoon but they need to make a de money. YELP SHORT ANSWER: Yes the resort is one of the best places to visit in the valley. Lots to do. Location: kind of perfect, this has been here for many decades so they have it down. Parking can be difficult at peak season or holiday. Menu at 26: it is fine but prices make it seem extra special. Kind of standard California cuisine. Food Prep: on this visit to 26, not great guessing due to a large conference taking over and closing Adobe which was our original destination. Food Quality: fell well short of resort prices, flatbread was not good and kind of soggy. Waitstaff: seemed out of it on this day. Maybe since all the pressure was on 26, people seemed burnt out and not super friendly. Overall Value: on this visit 26 was overpriced for a meal which was not great, I am sure not acceptable per management but bad days happen. Will review again. TIP: if you are paying the bill, pick an off time and enjoy this resort property and learn about its history online, it is very cool. 26 is just one restaurant at the resort, all our other visits have been great 4 or 5 star.

    GARLIC TATER - TOTS

This is a very busy restaurant during the day. It's the main location for lunch and it can be easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle. The decor is your typical American restaurant, with a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the wings, which are not on the menu, but my server allowed me to order them with the buffalo cauliflower sauce on the side. The wings were crispy and a natural size. The tater tots were great. I would highly suggest these, forget the carb counting. :) The only thing that knocked this place down to a 4 was the pet situation. Dogs are welcome on the patio as it is a pet friendly hotel and as a person that is highly allergic to dogs, it makes for an uncomfortable experience. I also noticed that servers will greet the animals and either provide them a dog bowl or retrieve their dog bowl and not immediately go to sanitize their hands. I saw servers bus tables in between interactions and honestly the fact that people that handle my food at any portion of their shift interact with animals just doesn't sit will with me. However, I understand that I live in a world where I'll be forced to dine with animals whether I like to or not. :) Nice spot. I dined twice during my week's stay.

We had brunch at Twenty6 at La Quinta Resort, and the service was very attentive. My Bloody Mary was delicious, and the food was good. The restaurant offers a lovely ambiance, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or a vacation drink.

Every time we come to Palm Spring we love coming here. The service is amazing. We just adore Daniel, Margaret and Roberto. The shrimp cocktail is the best we've ever had. The Lox plate is super fresh. And the cocktails are always perfect.

Great spot with list of options on site here at La Quinta! Service was good and the restaurant was quiet but definitely not dead.

Ate here twice--once for lunch and once for breakfast. For my lunch, I had the poke bowl. Very yummy, it was served on a bed of lettuce. My girlfriend had the Brussels sprouts salad with chicken. She loved it but didn't really care for the honey mustard dressing. For our breakfast, I had the avocado toast and had a side of lox--really really good. My other friends had the classic eggs Benedict, a lox bagel, and a breakfast burrito. We were all thoroughly satisfied.

Food was ok, service was attentive. I apparently did not see the price of the Cesar salad. Outrageously priced for a just fair salad.

We didn't have reservations and requested to be seated inside. There was a little awkward first impression with the hostess who told us that there was only one inside table left in the back corner. She didn't come across very friendly when we asked if we could see it before deciding if we wanted to sit there or not. I understand they were busy but she was a bit short with us. We were seated in Isabel's section and she more than made up for it. What a gem! She was so friendly and very nice. She made sure to check on us often and we had a lovely time at your restaurant because of her. We are giving this review 5 stars because of Isabel. The seared ahi tuna salad and the ahi tuna nachos were both delicious. The fish was fresh and so very tender with a light dressing. The pulled pork tacos were good too. The brownie dessert was a bit dry though.

Instead, she bit into a sharp chicken bone hidden in the salad--something that absolutely should never happen. This wasn't a small, soft fragment either; it was sharp enough to cause immediate, severe pain and pierced her gums. This is not just a minor oversight--it's a major failure in basic food safety and kitchen preparation. There is no excuse for serving food in this condition, especially something as simple as a salad. We trusted this restaurant to provide a safe meal, and that trust was completely broken. What makes this even worse is that the situation could have been far more dangerous. If swallowed, this could have led to choking or internal injury. No customer should ever have to worry about that when ordering a salad. I strongly urge the restaurant to take a hard look at their food prep standards and quality control, because this is unacceptable. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

When we pulled back around to the front, there were some yellow pylons near the front of the entrance and some garbage on one of the outdoor tables and it looked very dark inside as if the lights were off, we figured they had to have been closed so we drove off to have dinner elsewhere. A bit later, we get a notice from OpenTable that we did not check in so I called the restaurant the following day to ask them what happened, the nice young lady that answered the phone told us that they were open at the time of our reservation. If they were indeed open, what a turn off to have only two cars in the parking lot, pylons in front and trash stacked on the outdoor table, I can't imagine what the inside would look like or the kitchen.
