I visited the north syracuse location today with my sister and ordered a WARM rice bowl and I sub'd noodles, added all of the things i wanted, and I was given the last bite of the steak, and fresh steak came out and when I asked to get more I was given an attitude by the employee. I waited for my food for almost 30 minutes (my whole lunch break) to get it all done, I wasnt asked if i wanted broth, so I mentioned it and it was added. I got my food togo since now i was late back to work, and opened my food in my truck. ICE COLD!!! all of it. the noodles the broth. EVERYTHING. this is not the first time that my food quality has been terrible! I pay almost $20 dollars for a meal, and its been worse and worse. needless to say I will not recommend core to anyone again, and I wont be back unless this is fixed! Thank you read more

I stopped in for the first time and got a bone broth bowl. The food was fine, and it was nice that I could get something quick that didn't make me feel like I was putting garbage in my body. But for me, it didn't seem like a full meal. Pretty much everything on the menu is under 600 calories, and I guess that's why some people come to this kind of place. But for someone like me who likes heartier food, I'd be better off going somewhere like Chipotle. Again, the food was fine - just not worth $9 to me for a bowl of vegetables with a little meat and noodles. Also tried some hummus. It was very good. read more

Came here for the first time today. I ordered the Ginger Steak Noodle Grain Bowl, minus the fresh ginger, and sub cucumber-basil dressing. The staff was friendly, and the food was extremely fresh. However, the food was also extremely tasteless. After sampling a few bites, I ended up picking out the 10 cubes of steak and threw the rest of the bowl in the trash. I think this place is definitely appealing to the hipster crowd, but I'm not sure how long that can last. I think they missed the mark here, and could have used fresh ingredients, yet seasoned them in a way that can't be found anywhere else. Instead, you just get plain, raw veggies tossed with a seasonless dressing. This is definitely a place that caters to a crowd that already likes this kind of food. If you're someone who wants to try something new, and a bit more healthy, this place will definitely turn you off, unfortunately. This was my first visit and I was not impressed! First of all, this place has a fly problem. We saw flies landing on the veggies and the girl behind the counter could have cared less when I pointed it out. My husband and I both ordered Cobb salad and it was just ok. I ordered the chicken and rice noodle bowl. The portion was generous and the veggies were fresh. Everything looked amazing. The downside was that the bone broth tasted like pure fat. This place is pretty legit if you're a vegetarian! The Mediterranean greens bowl is a-ma-zing! The service can be kind of inconsistent though - sometimes I get a gigantic serving of greens and hummus, and other times I get a meager, pitiful dollop. Another pro (or maybe con if you're scared of old people): for some reason, some cute elderly ladies patrol the joint and occasionally ask if you are enjoying your food or if you need a menu. ATTENTION CORPORATE!!!! I really just have to say that this place has gone downhill since it opened and continues to every time i give it another chance. It looks like they need to reorganize so they can handle the capacity of people that love to go here. I order the build your own when i go but try other options as well. Honestly when i pick an ingredient it would be nice to get a "FULL" portion of it. Especially when im paying "extra". Just about every time they are usually out of something that i want. The staff is usually pleasant . It does appear to be there is no leader giving direction to the workers. The workers kind of look at eachother like "whos gonna do it"? When you ask for something. This place is amazing. Bone Broth is a way of life. I honestly believe you feel better after eating it. The cafeteria style is a newer concept in the area. Extremely successful in my opinion. The concept of farm to table expedited eatery is newer up this way as well. My recommendation, do a build your own bowl, choose from the dozens of fresh ingredients, and add a broth (choices of beef, chicken, and vegetable.) be creative. In short, it's amazing. The greeter was nice but when I got up to the display case I seen was flies buzzing around in the food! Yuck! I got out of line and got out of there! I don't usually write reviews, however I had to share my experience with the Dewitt location. I love Core, it's usually my go-to because of the healthy options (and not to mention the fact that some of their greens are organic which is a major plus), and the Korean BBQ Pork bowl is just heaven. However, I am frustrated and disappointed that they regularly get my order wrong. I order delivery a few times a week (works great with my busy schedule) but nearly every week an order or two is wrong. In the past I ordered "extra pork" on a bowl and did not get extra (sometimes even less than the regular amount -- and btw it costs more). I have some food allergies, corn and dairy included. Recently I've been asking for no corn, tortilla, or crema on some bowls and they put it in the bowl anyway. And mind you, not only am I selecting "no corn, no crema..." on the ingredient list, but I'm also making a special note for additional instructions, in all caps and with asterisks," ***NO CREMA***" so if they miss it in the ingredient list they can at least see the modification in the special note. I sometimes order delivery the night before for the next day and so it's too late to make the drive back to the restaurant to correct the order. I just now found crema on a bowl I ordered, just a couple of days after I called about another incorrect order. I'm not sure what's going on, why this happens on a regular basis. Is it just me, is it my last name? Is this happening to other people? It's super disappointing because I love the food so much. I'm giving 2 stars because of the great food and the fact that they've refunded me every time they get it wrong. However I've just about had it with the consistently incorrect orders. read more

I'll probably go back and give the bone broth bowl a try because everyone said it's great, but I liked this place a little better as Jolime. It is wonderful to have healthy foods but why compromise them with dirty silverware, items left out of salads, incorrect orders and a messy buffet serving area? After more than a year of constant observation on how much this pace has taken a 180 I have finally decided to downgrade my stars and update my review. When this place first opened it was a well oiled machine. Everything was consistent, smiling and attentive employees and awesome food. I can 100% say without doubt this place has become horrible with consistency and customer service. I probably don't miss 2-3 weeks without being there (food is still good) and 50% of the time you have to remind an employee (that you know is not new) all the ingredients that comes in your salad. Half of the employees provide attitude even with zero attitude being given to them. I would be lenient if it was a customer being difficult. NOPE, they are just flat out annoyed by being there. Staff always seems confused and disconnected from what's going on. My wife ordered broccoli as one of her toppings and out of shear laziness we watched the employee basically dump broccoli dust over her salad because they were too lazy to wait or get more broccoli (we actually didnt get mad we laughed because it was such a ridiculous maneuver). Talk about inconsistency? 1 week you will get a falafel the size of a golf ball the next week you will get them the size of a marble. I could go on and on about what I have observed over the past year or so. This review is not from me having one bad night there, its from me having about 50 bad nights there. Core is excellent. I have been going there since they opened. I have tried a variety of the menu items and have been pleased with them all. I LOVE the beet lemonade. It is so unique and delicious! The flavors and quality of the food is great! I often get food to bring home. My only complaint is that I feel the portion sizes "to go" are smaller than the "in house" portion sizes. read more

Found this place during my stay in Liverpool. I literally just drove near my hotel, looking for a place to eat. Anywhere. I'd have easily settled for fast food, but when I found Core, I was beyond pleasantly surprised. Reminds me of a Chopt or Sweetgreen. Here's how it works: You choose your bowl: greens, rice or broth (or all three, if you'd like)...and you go from there. I ordered the southwest chicken rice bowl- a menu-suggested combo of wild rice, corn, tomatoes, jalapeños, avocado and more. It came with romaine, and honestly it was more of a salad than rice bowl, but it was DELICIOUS. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat. Prices are reasonable, and there is ample seating. If you're looking for something healthy, tasty (vegetarian and vegan friendly), and affordable, this is the place! read more

This has become our go-to "fast-food" restaurant after my husbands diagnosis of Celiac. We are able to come here and not worry about cross contamination as all items on the menu are gluten free. ( except the bread offered at the end of the line, enclosed in a hard plastic container ). I am enjoying eating our way through the pre-selected offerings and someday will be brave enough to create my own ! Stopped for lunch 2 days in a row, first day had a great kale chicken Caesar salad, lightly dressed with great Parmesan cheese crisps. On second day had the mushroom and tofu veggie broth bowl. Hands down the best with shaved ginger and lemon grass, very pho like, but without the noodles. Will be back to try the noodle bowls. read more

The food here is always tasty. Greens and vegetables are always fresh and their dressings are incredible. I have been here a few times and finally got their lemonades. They are fantastic. I mixed the beet and cucumber/basil together for a refreshing drink on a hot day. Only downside here is the price. For a salad and a drink it costs over $12. For some basic salads, this is not worth it. But for their more specialty salads, I justify paying a little bit more. This is not a cheap lunch for the type of quick service restaurant this is. I can see that this place would be pretty popular with certain individuals but not for me. This place can be the Chipotle of Salads.
