Loved this place when it first opened up. I was always so content after eating there. Went today, I was so disappointed. I got the Tuna Fire bowl to go. Paid a whopping 18.50 after a 15% tip (which register will prompt you to do). I probably would've let it go had the bowl been full, however, it was half full. I went back up and asked for more rice, which I am so uncomfortable doing. Just too expensive for my taste now. Good luck to them. When you have dinner at Corelife eatery, make sure to go 3 hours before closing. I went for dinner with my family at 7:30pm, and they were already cleaning the place. The noise of chairs being moved and put on tables was annoying and the only thing we wanted to do, was the leave the place! It was not welcoming. We had to ask at what time they closed thinking that we arrived too late. Also, their Mediterranean salad had 2 falafel that were very tinny and different from the picture! Non existent customer service !! Went there today with my parents. VERY CONFUSING ordering process and what to do. The teenage counter help seemed to be bothered in answering our questions on how to order etc. And when they did attempt to explain things it was a quick hurried "explanation".. With the prices being charged and given its not a fast food restaurant nor a waitress comes to your table to take your order restaurant, one should expect top customer service and help with how/what to order . NOT My father ordered grain and broth in a bowl with a salad as a side and asked that it be a side . HOWEVER it all came in one bowl. What restaurant serves cold salad with hot broth ? No one that cooked or brought the food to the counter questioned this ? Really ??? Training the teenagers that if they restaurant wants repeat business they need to take some time and help people out who have never been here before. The food was so so and given the prices which aren't cheap and with the out of the norm menu and cafeteria like ordering process the whole experience was bad. Let me start this with saying I'm not a vegan/vegetarian in any sense. A friend of mine suggested we grab lunch here, and I'm all for trying new things. I was beyond impressed with my Chicken Cobb salad, which I had them add their Lime Cilantro Jalapeno vinaigrette instead of the blue cheese. Everything is very fresh and delicious. The food is average. Bone broths if done right have a complexity of flavors. The broth here is fairly bland, but you can alter it with add in herbs and spices. I'm definitely not in love with it, but I don't hate it either. It's a tad pricey for what it is, but we have created a society that places a premium on "healthy" food. Food is great, Pauline digiorgio not so much. i had a less than stellar experience at Buckley rd location, my visit tonight at 7 pm, I saw 5 girls working and I was the ONLY customer in line w a 3 year old kid. This girl started meal then it went to the next girl who was wiping down around food containers that stored food in metal pots, she took FOREvER as well to even grab our food to put dressing on it, then the next meat station girl got meat on it quickly (no complaints there) , After the meat got put on the my food just sat there literally finished and prepared for 5 min while girls where talking, cleaning, and two workers prepare what must have been online orders bc I was the only one in the store w my wild 3 year old at this point out of boredom. There literally no communication when my food was done, waiting to pay, and have my food places in a paper bag To go. Everyone seemed more concerned w whatever else but helping the customer in front of them. Not my usual visit. this is when I get annoyed I email their person responsible for good relations and publicity Pauline D. And she sends me this : Hi, Sam. I sincerely apologize for your dining experience with us. A clean environment is essential to good food. Was excited to try this place out, but will need to think a long while before I ever go back. Sanitation was very poor...I think they didn't have enough staff working when I went earlier this week. Tables weren't wiped down, garbage cans literally overflowing, food stations gross and sloppy. I got worried for my and my family's health because two of the workers weren't wearing masks properly (they had them only covering their mouth instead of mouth AND nose, rendering them useless). Service was incredibly slow and disorganized. I noticed a lot of people waiting in the takeout area. Every time I try to use a gift card for Core, it's an issue. I'm asked how much is on it, and being a gift I don't know. They have no way of telling, and it takes forever for the cashier to run the card. I tried to use a $25 card given to me for my birthday and had to pay- as I was told there was nothing on the card. I contacted the person who gave me the card to see what was SUPPOSED to be on the card- $25. A staff member even affirmed that they have issues with gift cards. I work in customer service and know how this issue could be handled- my issue wasn't- I was just told I had to pay. No management was around to even deal with. Just left a bad taste. I really wanted a healthy meal and was driving through Syracuse so we came to CoreLife Eatery. This place is absolutely amazing and I would eat here daily if I could! They have a wide assortment of hot food, salads, and even soups that you can customize with different toppings, meats, and sauces. The flavors are amazing and the food is extremely high quality. I just left your Buckley location. I cant leave a new review on FB, it appears none since Sept 2020, seems odd. Regardless, the food we were just served- the steak in particular we literally threw in the trash while there. The steak was so incredibly dried out and gross looking on the carving station, the girl cut it up threw it back on the grill and then served it to us. It genuinely did not look safe to eat. The pulled chicken was similar - dried out and stone cold. I wont be back, and if I get food poisoning- you'll be hearing from my attorney. You folks need to consider what your staff is serving when your restaurant is completely dead- that was straight up disgusting- who is the night manager allowing that???? read more

This place is great! I've been here several times and love the variety of healthy options to choose from.

I love core it's a great place. The salads are usually very good. They got rid of the balsamic chicken, which won't be good for business(so unfortunate). Also the avocados are NEVER ripe. More importantly they need to make a few changes. First of all they need more workers. It takes way to long to get through the line. They have one worker on toppings and dressing. It really slows down the line when there is always a big crowd. If there were more workers I would come more often. Also they should get salad choppers. Everyone loves a chopped salad. I think it would be very easy for them to get salad choppers. This would be a great addition. Also the place isn't very sanitary. There are always bugs flying around and getting in the food. I once even heard a customer say "little buggies go away." However the lemonade is great! read more

Very unhappy with my latest visit to core. I made a mobile pick up order and the time was set to be picked up at 5:40. I got there around 5:35 pm and waited for my order. Around 5:55 I asked if my order was ready and they said they were still working on it. Everyone who was in line orders and revived there food before mine there was no one in the restaurant besides the people with Mobil orders and we all were talking about how long it was taking. Around 6:15 I finally got my food. I had broth in my rice bowl & the lid was completely off of my food leaking broth everywhere. I asked the lady for a new bag since mine was leaking broth out. I really like Core Life, both the concept and the food. I have not been disappointed in the bowls I've had, but twice this winter I have gotten soup and it's just been warm, not hot. Depending on where you sit (by the windows) air is blowing as well, cooling the soup faster still. I did mention this to the manager and she graciously acknowledged and seemed to have heard other customers say the same thing. It won't keep me from going back, but will keep me from ordering soup until they figure the temp control. read more

Not very well organized for take out orders. The lack of signage makes it confusing on whether you should wait in line or go behind a blind corner to pick up food. When the employee brought bags to the counter he did not call out the names on the order so it caused the group of people waiting to go look at the receipts to see if it was theirs every time. Not an ideal situation with covid and all. Not particularly busy, but a rotating group of 6 or more people waiting for over fifteen minutes for their orders. The app, when it works, is convenient for those of us who frequently eat on the fly. There's nothing else like it in the Liverpool area. My issue is that my order is wrong or missing something every single time. The point of using the app is to order ahead, and quickly grab your meal from the counter. Not go to the counter and examine everything for accuracy. I often don't open it until I get back to work or home. It's not cool when you pay extra for double protein or veg and don't get it. This past Sunday, late afternoon, restaurant was nearly empty, and it was still wrong. I know these are "first world problems," but cmon guys. Do better. The food here is really good and fresh but it's kind of pricey for the quantity. I normally get the tuna poke bowl which is $14 and a little over 400 calories, so I am almost always hungry after leaving. I have tried the tuna power plate as well and that also comes with two very tiny scoops of rice or quinoa, a scoop of veggies and two scoops of tuna. A quick alternative for eating out and staying somehow healthy. I like the rice bowls more because they are more filling than the salads. Core offers military discounts. I'll take it considering that you are spending about $33 in two double protein bowls. You may want to remind them about the discount because they like to profile people based on something I'm not yet sure what (Maybe military appearance, haircut, gender to offer the discount). We don't all look the same or are the same gender don't forget there are females in the military. I know how beloved this place is in the greater Syracuse area, so I'm sure this review will ruffle some feathers. I have tried to like this place, but it just doesn't do it for me. I have been to Core twice, once back in February and today. Both times, I was not impressed. The ambience and decor of Core is awesome. The concept is excellent, but the food just fell short for me. The first time I went, I can't exactly remember what I got, but it was a salad with rice noodles. Nothing too special about it now that I'm thinking back, except for the noodles. They were slightly undercooked. I'm not a fan of undercooked rice noodles. They are completely unpleasant. But I decided that maybe this was an off night and I'd give Core another chance later in the future. Today, I decided to come here for lunch. Walked in, and there was a line snaked throughout the restaurant. This place was poppin'! I ordered the tuna poke grain bowl. The tuna was marinated in entirely too much soy sauce or salt or both. It was so salty, it made all the grains and vegetables in the bowl salty. This was also unpleasant for me once again. Maybe this place isn't suited for my palate, but whatever the case is I won't be making a trip back to Core. read more

I stopped in for the first time and got a bone broth bowl. The food was fine, and it was nice that I could get something quick that didn't make me feel like I was putting garbage in my body. But for me, it didn't seem like a full meal. Pretty much everything on the menu is under 600 calories, and I guess that's why some people come to this kind of place. But for someone like me who likes heartier food, I'd be better off going somewhere like Chipotle. Again, the food was fine - just not worth $9 to me for a bowl of vegetables with a little meat and noodles. Also tried some hummus. It was very good. read more
