Heard the pasties de nata were really good here so I was excited to try that and their coffee. I can confirm the egg tarts are delicious, and the staff can warm them up for you. Note, they don't provide regular iced coffee, just iced americanos or cold brew on tap. But my iced americano was still quite good. read more

Cute cafe! Came here to co work. There's plenty of seating outside on benches, as well as some high tops, tables, and half booth half tables inside. I ordered an iced taro matcha with almond milk. The taro flavor was so good, and so sweet, but I found the drink was not mixed very evenly and once I got about a third of the way through, it started to taste like slightly watered down matcha. My coworker ordered I believe a mango iced matcha and really liked it, it definitely is a summer drink! We split the Turkey Fig-Mayo Wrap. I thought it was perfectly filling with nice crunchy lettuce, but my coworker thought it was a bit bland. The Wi-Fi can be really slow here, which was a bit of a bummer, so we only stayed a couple of hours. I'd come back for a drink for sure, but not to get much work done. I came here late afternoon today for a late lunch and something warm to drink. I have only been here once before, which was for a Yelp Elite event, and I did enjoy the latte and pastry I had a few years ago. I went with their seasonal lavender latte and the turkey fig mayo wrap. Everything was prepared fairly quickly. The lavender latte was underwhelming and I would not recommend. I was intrigued by this latte because I normally gravitate towards floral flavors, plus the barista said they make the syrup in house and I love homemade syrups. The syrup just wasn't sweet enough and kinda bland. I wasn't impressed by the of the espresso either. The turkey fig mayo wrap, however, was great! Super fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, and whoever made the wrap knew the perfect amount of mayo that was needed. I had also never had fig mayo before, it was nice, only a little sweet. The location is very nicely decorated and has lots of seating, unless it's crazy crowded like it was today. I almost didn't get a spot! It's definitely a place where people sit down and hangout for a while to hangout or get work done. If I come back, I would stick with their food and maybe try one of their non coffee beverages. read more

Copper Mug is everything that's right about Brooklyn. Not even a block off a main artery in Williamsburg, and this coffee shop feels like a little oasis. It's great to have a little escape so close to Bedford Ave. There's plenty of seating inside, as well as a backyard with outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. 4.5 / 5.0 - I stopped by Copper Mug Coffee after a yoga class and it is such a great spot. It is lively and cozy at the same time, with a stylish decor and great playlist. Inside, they have regular tables perfect for working and high tops. They also have outdoor seating--a couple of tables in the front and more and in their backyard area. I ordered the Avocado Toast ($12+) with Egg ($2+). Their avocado toast is: house-made avocado mousse (non-dairy), sliced avocado, Himalayan sea salt, smoked paprika, lemon zest, feta cheese and brown butter served on sourdough bread. The avocado toast was exactly what I needed after yoga. The egg was a little too runny for my taste, but it was very tasty. The sourdough bread was nice and fluffy and the feta complemented avocado so nicely. Looking forward to trying more dishes and sitting outside next time. read more

As someone who loves lavender lattes and drinks them often. I ordered a lavender decaf coffee and I don't know how it's possible but it felt both too sweet and not sweet at the same time. The lavender syrup, housemade, just left a weird taste in my mouth. First sips I was not impressed but as it went on I enjoyed it more. But I wouldn't go back. I'm giving it a 3 star just because the service could be a lot better. It seems like this coffee shop is somewhat newer. We went on a Saturday noon time (11:30am ish) so the line got very busy very quickly. With that being said, perhaps there were some orders that were mixed up (and unfortunately, ours was in that mix). I think perhaps a better system (like writing customers name somewhere or giving everyone an order number would help so it erases any confusion) could improve the service, especially when it gets busy. The food and atmosphere were great though, but lost 2 stars overall due to the service. Everything here is pricier. If you're here and don't mind the price, I'd recommend the taro matcha latte with oat milk - I ended up paying $8.98 (medium size - usually I pay less for a large size specialty Matcha Latte in Manhattan) after tax but it tasted good. $9 for the drink is definitely on the pricier side though and I'm not sure if I would want to come back. I think the owner took my order. I'm pretty sure I was also billed incorrectly for a large even though I asked for a medium - the smallest size - but I only realized now. I was unable to get a good picture of my drink as my drink was already stirred to a purple/green color before I had received it (but my friend's drink was not stirred - I asked about why it was mixed and was given a rude response). Staff were not friendly at all. One thing to note is that you do get a free small tart for showing the cashier you left a review on Google/Yelp. read more

I took the L train from the 14th street stop under water to the uncharted territory of Brooklyn to meet a friend at Copper Mug and demolish my 4th cold brew of the day. I know, a lot to unpack there but yeah I'll admit 4 cold brews by 2:30pm is WAY too many. My anxiety was really not loving that ahahaha I was lowkey tweaking after. Also, the L train going literally under water trips me out every time like damn... Oh and don't you dare say "underwater," as the correct term is "under water." I typed "does the L train go underwater" into google just to double confirm because y'all love to chirp me if I'm wrong, and google passive aggressively informed me: "No, it doesn't go underwater. It goes under water. The tunnels are built in the ground that is underneath the waterway that is traveled." Anyways, I try not to think about it too much when I'm on the L as Murphy's Law is always looming. I arrived at Copper Mug early, and it was pretty packed for a Wednesday at 2:15. People were locked in with over ear headphones on, plugging away at their laptops that are plugged in... You know someone is really posted up when the laptop is plugged in ahahaa. I got my cold brew and ended up getting a seat at a small table. Nice little vibe in here, and also a great place to come sit and read a book. The thing about me is that I will always lurk on what books people are reading lol. I don't really know why, but I'm just genuinely curious what people choose to read. It's such an intentional form of consumption. My friend arrived and we chopped it up about a new Blackseed Bagel video we are working on while keeping our voices low as it is a bit cozy in here. After finding myself in Williamsburg for a meeting last week, I popped open my handy-dandy Yelp app and typed in the following words.. "breakfast, delicious, laptop, sandwich." I sometimes search Yelp a bit unconventional but hey, it works for me and it helped me find this incredible cafe. After seeing a scrumptious looking photo of their chicken salad sandwich uploaded by Morlene C (Yelp Queens Community Manager), I immediately knew I had to order it. Combined with my iced cold brew, I really enjoyed my meal. Their pastries, tarts, banana bread and acai bowl looks really good too and I can't wait to fully explore their menu the next time. I must sat there doing work on my laptop for about 45 minutes after finishing my meal (slowly sipped on my coffee) and yet no one batted an eye.
