Went here for the 1st time with my dad on Saturday November 1st 2025. We were driving around getting gas for our cars, and decided to go for one of their milkshakes. We got them at the drive thru. They have plenty of options for their milkshakes from flavors like Chocolate, Vanila, to reese peanut butter cup, and much more! I ordered the Reese Peanut Butter Cup, and my dad ordered Cherry Chocolate. Cost wasn't bad either, maybe $3.00 for 2 smalls. Pleasant person at the drive thru too! I enjoyed their shakes- and their shakes can be compared to sonics as mine, the reese peanut butter cup, was a vanila shake mixed in with peanut butter cups. My dad's also had pieces of cherry in it too! We were also given a spoon, to help enjoy our ice cream! We enjoyed them, and it craved our ice cream craving, which is always good! This was my first cook out experience and it was highly encouraged by my little sister since it's her go to place when she's in the south. Usually love cook out but lately the food has been going down hill. Last few times I went the orders have been wrong. The last time I went ordered a double cheeseburger tray and received a sad excuse for a burger and the cheese was left off. The burger was a regular patty that looked like it was cut in half. Horrible experience! Burger was so greasy and I paid extra for A1 and did not receive it. Told the cashier and they gave me a container with about 1/2 teaspoon of A1 sauce in it. I know..unique combination, but I can have a little of everything. The food was okay and pretty standard. What I found different was a bacon wrap. I've never seen one before. It's just a soft tortilla filled with two to three pieces of bacon, ranch, and lettuce. Overall, I would only dine here if there's nothing else opened (like this case) & I feel like having variety. Cook out is a great bang for your buck. It's good fast food and they have a great selection of milk shakes. The Tray is the best value with a lot of food for about 5 bucks. Most cook outs are very clean and I've always gotten great service. This one wasn't the cleanest. Almost all the tables were dirty and the bathrooms were a disaster. But the food is always decent, it's a great place to stop if you're looking for a quick meal, but for this location I would definitely recommend just using the drive through. read more

At that time it was just a small shack and only had walk up and drive thru. Was sad to see it shut down shortly after. Hoping that this would bring back that nostalgic taste and flavor and it didn't let down...at least imho. This establishment needs to revamp their drive thru menu. It's extremely cluttered & disorganized. Also, please consider adding sauerkraut to your menu for hotdogs. My husband enjoyed the double burger and we both enjoyed the fries. We didn't really like the coleslaw, because it was very dry & bland. The hotdogs weren't that bad, but since I couldn't find the sides or the toppings on the menu, I didn't really didn't enjoy it like I wanted too, because your cashier named Jaylyn wasn't very helpful no matter how many times I told her I couldn't find it. All I heard was look to your top left once only& then the sound of crickets. Please teach your cashiers some manners, because they sound like they are rushing you and they are not that friendly. This wasn't the only incident. We are not sure if we are returning even if the prices are affordable. I guess you get what you pay for, including terrible service. Cheap, good food and fast! Yes! Being in SC we visited this location 3 times! Yes... 3 times! The first visit was a quick drive through... drink, milkshake and a small burger. My son loved the cheeseburger! And they have ice that I love. The milkshake wasn't too loved... it was too thick for my husbands liking. The next visit we stepped inside and saw the combo meal. WOW! $4.99 and you get a ton of food plus a drink. I opted for the 2 hotdog meal, with corn nuggets (hush puppies) and onion rings. Yes... you get a choice of 2 sides or double up on one. The onion rings were ok.... but the corn nuggets were really yummy. The next visit I again got the hot dogs but double upped on the corn nuggets. We had to make this stop as there was no more locations on the way back home. In Florida it would be similar to backyard burger. The burgers and hot dogs taste like they are right off the grill. The bathrooms were always clean as well. Just a FYI, this restaurant is also religious. Its not pushed upon you but there are scripters on the cups, bags, etc. and the music that is playing is like Christian Country? at least at this location.. It didn't bother us because the food and atmosphere were pleaseant and good enough. We really wish they would build a couple of these down towards Florida!! read more
