Yikes, stay away from the BBQ. It look like a can of cat food was dumped in my tray and tasted like what cat food smells like. Really horrible stuff from the state that purportedly is the home of whole hog BBQ. That being said, fries, hush puppies and the banana pudding shake were a slam dunk. Horrible food waste of money. My burger was sent back because it had bacon on it that I did not order. They gave me a new one by jus changing the top bun and taking the bacon off. They left the bottom bun on and added another bottom bun and thought that that was ok . REALLY??? Poor business read more

For $7 you can't go wrong. I purchased a big burger with cheese (steak style), it came with lettuce tomato sauteed onions and A1 steak sauce. Included two sides, I got onion rings and chili and a large sweet tea. The burger was good and the vegetables were fresh. Will definitely return there. read more

Not too pleased after my recent visit. I came with my mother and grandmother. We went to the drive thru, we were in front of the menu looking to figure out our order and the women on the com yelled at us to order. We repeatedly informed her we were looking. When we received out food one of the sandwiches was wrong so we asked to get it fixed. When I bite into the newly fixed sandwich - Chicken - it was pink and looked rushed and not finished. Not a fan. The women at the final window argued with us, saying we had ordered it wrong - but when you say no mayo, what else could that mean besides no mayo???? Employees had serious attitudes. Careless employees, the food is great but the cooks put 1 half a piece lettuce on the chicken ranch wraps. This is the second time in a row I picked up an order thinking it was a mistake but I asked the cashier to make sure they put lettuce and it was wrong. Yet again, won't be ordering again. read more

the decor was phenomenal and it looks great on the outside. also the ice machine makes crushed ice. but the food is disgusting. my family got a burger, bun was soggy, EVERY fry was soggy (which was indicated by a manager they are not supposed to be), my brother got chicken tenders and they tasted like they had been frozen and then put into the microwave. they were VERY dry and tasteless. the onion rings were expected to be crispy and full of the distinct onion flavor, but they were very floppy and the flavor was very off. along with every other south carolina-exclusive restaurant. this place is a bust. we got a full refund. im from iowa and came to south carolina for a vacation. lets just say, iowa does it better. read more

This place was AMAZING! As a burger connoisseur I was really impressed for this to be fast food. I went several times on my trip to Myrtle Beach. I got the chilly cheese onions burger which was really good. Even more impressive were the hush puppies (12 for $1.00) which I ordered at least 3x over the course of a week. They were flavorful plentiful n cheap! My wife loved her milkshake n I loved the throwback of having coke float with vanilla ice cream. Best deals in the fast food industry. Large selection to choose from. I recommend getting a "tray" meal, for $6 you get a main item and two sides. And ANYTHING can be your sides. Like, get a burger and have a corn dog and quesadilla on the side. You cannot go hungry here. And even though prices are cheap, the food is amazing. My favorite is the hush puppies. I once went and had trouble with my card, they offered to give the food to me free, but I refused, having other means to pay, but that was so thoughtful. Good people there. read more

Worst experience ever with a cookout. We sat in line forever to even order and then we finally get up to the speaker and the woman comes on and says how can I help you, we start giving an order and she interrupts us and says "hold on a minute" we sat for nearly 15 minutes and still she never responded and we called to them multiple times, no one was even in line anymore in either lane. Worst fast food we've ever had! Friends raved about the food, so we thought we'd try it. We each ordered a hamburger with bacon, fries & a shake. The bacon on it was horrible! Tasted rancid! Fries were mediocre at best. Worst shake! I tasted mine & said it tasted like it had salt in it - a LOT of salt! My husband said his did too. Absolutely horrific! Best fast food chain in North and South Carolina and Tennessee. This place is great. The food is cheap. The burgers are great and smoky flavored, the side choices are awesome and the plethora of custom milkshake choices is off the charts with variety and flavor. You can't beat a big double cheeseburger tray with fries and a chicken quesadilla and a HUGE tea for 5 bucks. You can't go wrong. I eat here weekly, and the one thing you can count on is the price. For $6 you get a burger, chicken sandwhich or a few other choices, 2 sides and a milkshake. The shakes are outstanding and food is usually decent. I've had some great food here, but I've also had some sub-par food here, so it's really hit or miss. Usually you will receive better food if you actually go into the establishment instead of drive-thru but for $6 it fills you up and doesn't take like crap, ever. So for that value I give it 4/5 stars. Only reason I do not give it 5 stars is the quality of food varies. read more

It was a nice place to stop and eat. It was inexpensive. There is a large selection of milkshake that is very very thick.

We usually love to eat here, but today changed my mind about if and when I'll return. The guy cleaning the tables with his rag was using that rag for more than just tables, the walls, dusting the woodwork, going into the men's room with it, taking the trash bag out of the can with rag in hand on side of garbage can then over to wipe another table..Gross!! Not very professional looking either with his shoelaces untied. Took my own wipe out to wipe my table after seeing that and my wipe turned black from wiping the edge of the table. Food is always good but I'm a culinary major so I know a thing about customer service and sanitation. The woman at the window was very rude and abrupt. Then I watched a kitchen worker while I was eating in the parking lot, for 30 minutes he was out there smoking one cigarette after another in his car which if he was on break wasn't that big of a deal. But as he got out his car I noticed he had been on break and smoking all while wearing his apron which IS NOT OK WITH ME!! I proceed to watch him walk inside like there was no big deal. I have worked in the industry long enough that if a person doesn't have the good enough sense to remove their apron before their break chances are they aren't too hygienic. Not to mention the time I went before that I had to pick of the hairs from my milkshake so clearly they need something covering their head. I definitely won't be going back to this location and just a heads up if you think calling the number on the cup for customer service works, yea it doesn't. It'll just ring and ring with no one on the other line. Clearly Cook Out and its employees don't care about Hygiene or Customer Service so good job you just lost a very hungry and loyal customer. read more
