What a cool adventure! A one man show does it all-cook, waiter, dishes, everything! The hush puppies were not bad-loved the chunks of fresh onion. They were a little dense and could've used a tad of sweetness, maybe a honey butter on the side instead of plain. They were from scratch for sure and not greasy at all! In fact, nothing we ate was greasy-quite impressive! The shrimp was delicious and the deviled crab was tasty and reminded me of childhood. I am not a fish eater and I really enjoyed the flounder. My combo platter also came with scallops and oysters, also breaded fresh as was all the seafood. I just don't eat those two things. My companion pronounced them delicious as well. The cole slaw was yummy and had a crispness to it. It was dressed with a tasty dressing and happy to report it was not swimming in it. The tartar sauce and cocktail were also made in house and were very tasty. It came with a choice of starch and we got the small new potatoes which were good just plain! We got pie to go-key lime and million dollar pie-$3.25 a slice! We had a large and small seafood combo, 3 sodas (he has canned soda-no big deal) and two pieces of pie for under $50. And it was all so good!

Same thing, again . Could not get through on any public numbers . When I get there he says it is reservations only you have to call it in. Then he gave me the number 843 353 7523 to call for reservations and pointed to his rules for ordering. This guy is like the Soup Natzi on Seinfeld and the food is worth it if you can get in to eat.

This place has the best seafood and incredible prices. Expect to wait an hour for your food because it's made to order. We are never disappointed with the food or service. Ahhhh but the pan seared scallops... a-maze-ing. The menu is pretty big beyond their specials, I'm excited to keep coming back to try everything. It's a wonderful little gem of a place. No frills and no cards, just perfectly cooked food.

The owner was super nice! Before closing he allowed me to still dine in. I came during 4th of July weekend and the food was better than heading to the Myrtle beach restaurants. I wish I had a bigger stomach! The food was fresh and seasoned to perfection. I love seafood and will come back next time I'm in town. The portions and the price are amazing.

The host very kindly escorted me there & what a great surprise! The Tap Room host, Joanne, saw me looking a bit lost & greeted me. I didn't want to take a whole table as I was just there for a cocktail. Joanne suggested one of the leather lounge chairs & got me settled. She made me feel very comfortable. I'm old school enough that as a woman I felt awkward being in an unfamiliar town in a bar full of strangers. Joanne reassured me & checked on me throughout the evening. I had a fabulous Old Fashion, enjoyed the multiple TV's & ended up conversing & laughing with a whole family who were also visiting. All around, a great experience that all started with Joanne taking me under her wing & making me feel comfortable. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Conway!

The Crafty Rooster Bar and Grill Tucked right in the heart…read moreof downtown Conway, The Crafty Rooster Bar and Grill is the kind of hidden gem you hope to stumble upon--and then can't stop talking about once you do. Helen and I discovered it while scouting out local spots, and its location couldn't be better--just steps from the scenic Conway Riverwalk, surrounded by charming shops and historic buildings. Even the street parking (easy parallel with a two-hour window) felt like part of the laid-back, small-town experience. From the moment we walked in, the vibe hit just right: cozy, welcoming, and full of locals who clearly know a good thing when they see it. The staff made us feel right at home--friendly, attentive, and happy to help us navigate the menu. We kicked things off with the cold lobster dip, and let me tell you--this isn't your average appetizer. Imagine a creamy lobster roll transformed into a rich, indulgent dip, packed with chunks of lobster and served with warm pita points. It was the kind of dish you don't want to share... but have to. Helen went for the Reuben--perfectly stacked with shaved corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and house-made Thousand Island, all grilled on black rye. I opted for the seafood platter with fish and shrimp, cooked to perfection. The fries were hand-cut, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and while the jalapeño dill slaw had a bit more kick than I expected, the rest of the plate absolutely delivered. As we soaked in the atmosphere, we spotted a plate of loaded Brussels sprouts heading to another table--crispy, golden, tossed in garlic parmesan sauce, and topped with bacon and shredded parmesan. Safe to say, that's already on our must-try list for next time. And so is their "Everything but the Hen" wrap--a hearty combo of shaved steak, grilled shrimp, bacon, fresh veggies, provolone, and horseradish mayo wrapped up in a soft tortilla. Yes, it sounds as good as it looks. The best part? After a couple of beers, a full seafood platter, a loaded Reuben, and that incredible lobster dip, our total was still under $50--even with tip and tax. Great food, great prices, and a relaxed, local vibe--The Crafty Rooster Bar and Grill has officially earned a spot on our regular rotation. We'll definitely be back for more.
