We love Jo Hibachi. A lot of food and the food is the best is Conway, The customer service is the best!

This review is based on wife's recent visit for dinner. She didn't realize how large the portions were and obviously over ordered for herself. She ordered the onion soup, Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura side, and Steak and Shrimp dinner that came with fried rice and vegetables. Everything was very good. She expected this restaurant to be your typical hibachi grill type and was surprised it was a order and sit to dine in restaurant, but her experience overall was still very good with great food, and friendly staff. read more

We stopped by this gem of a place and ordered a Vegetable and Chicken Entree. Both Entrees were delicious and very much worth the price of the meal. This is one of the best Hibachi places in the Horry County area by far. It is a must eat if you are hungry and looking for good clean food. ams read more

We have recently found this spot and it is one of our favorites. It is a very busy and popular stop to be sure. And they have earned it with their delicious food. We have not had a bad meal here. Proteins like filet steak, chicken, shrimp and scallops to name a few, paired with rice or noodles are their mainstays. The flavors are on point and not overdone. The only unfortunate thing may be the small size of the seating area. About 15 or so tables is not enough for this popular spot. They do a lot of take out so do not shy away just find what works best for you. read more

A weekly stop the fielt mignon is really good!!!!! Love me some jo hibachi and it is always fresh and flavorful

We have been going here for years and it's always consistently delicious! The food is very high quality and it's prepared well. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you when it's ready. The owners are wonderful and very welcoming. Our favorite entree is filet and shrimp. The filet is always tender and cooked to our liking. read more

Food has always been great! We always get takeout because the restaurant is too small on a Friday night in Conway. Best chicken bowl on Horry County. read more

Always great food, never sketchy chicken!!!! Pretty inexpensive and very friendly staff.

Went back to Jo Hibachi and got refund for sushi rolls, they were big and smushy. Lady im assuming was a (sushi chef) there said she was from Hawaii and did sushi for years and every sushi chef makes them different. Im from Orlando, Fl and purchased sushi for years, I never experienced that with sushi. I will not be purchasing sushi again from that restaurant ever again. I posted pictures of there sushi and the sushi place I always go to. read more

I've been coming here for at least 10 years and have never been disappointed. The food is always great and the staff is always nice. It can get pretty hot inside during the heat of the day, but I'm not sure if there is much they can do about that. We go about once a month and will continue to do so. read more

Jo Hibachi - Steak and chicken entree with broccoli. - Japanese Near Me - Conway, South Carolina

Very busy. This is a small sit down and a take out business. We stopped by yesterday after seeing a high rating. I had a combination steak and chicken with noodles and vegetables. All very fresh and hot off the grill. My wife ordered the Bbq chicken both were delicious. Limited sushi items, but all fresh tasting. read more

Eating my chicken bowl and had to give credit where it's due Jo's is the best Habachi in Conway for sure highly recommended

First time here. We were lured in by a the incredible prices on a menu we pulled up online because they don't have a website. We were surprised when we got here that the prices were a bit higher. HOWEVER...the prices are still good, given the fact that you get a lot of food for your money. So much so that even with just ordering their bowls, we had to take half of our food home. We ordered a chicken and a veggie (yummmmm) hibachi. They were both delicious. We also ordered the side salad, which comes with two containers of really delicious, ginger dressing. I would recommend this place; probably for take out though. It's a small place and A LOT of people. Easy to see why; the food is great and they have extremely fast service. In other words don't come here expecting to have a nice, quiet, romantic dinner. Be prepared to order your food at the counter first then grab a seat. I will say I had the most incredible Pepsi from their fountain. Likely it had just been refilled but OMG was it good! Also yum, is their Yum Yum sauce. Sooo good! I have taken a picture of a current menu (taken July 2023) so you have accurate menu prices. Also a couple pics of of meal. read more

One of the few Asian restaurants around Conway that actually has good tasting food. Portion sizes are large for the price and staff is very friendly, however only down side is that they do not deliver nor are they quick to prepare a meal. read more

Wow, this place is great! Spoke with the owners and they were hustling and we saw about one hundred people come and go while we were there! Great friendly staff, welcoming and helpful also very clean. The food, was, well, awesome! We had a wide array of food, sushi, shrimp bowl, steak bowl, hibachi and all were spot on. If you have not been here, you need to go. I would give it more starts if I could, but you know! read more

I love this place! Every time we visit the employees are very welcoming and the food is always delicious

Food is great been going here off & on for several years now but after tonight not to sure if we will be going back. My husband & me took our 3 year old granddaughter to have dinner. We ordered two meals & a side of shrimp. We seen the woman bringing out our food & she spilled the side shrimp on the tray. She took it back to the cooks & they took the shrimp off the tray & put it back in the bowl except for two that were still on the tray. She gave us our food & asked if we needed anything & I ask for a small plate. She went in the back to get one when she came back we had a question about the meat my husband ordered. Her mouth was full chewing on our two shrimp that should of been replaced from the get go. My husband hates when I speak up which I do not get being we are paying for the food. He was supposed to get fillet mignon but got steak instead & after dumping our side of shrimp on the try that could of been dirty & not replacing it & missing 2 that ended up in the servers mouth he wouldn't let me say anything. Like I said the food is real good but the whole thing should of been handled differently in my opinion. Time to find some place else to go when we have a craving I guess. Sad like I said we have been going off & on for years but that kinda gets me mad. read more

This place is great. Simple dishes, cheap prices, and great taste. The only reason they get 4 over 5 stars is just due to the average wait time for your food, which is understandable due to the sheer popularity of this location. Give it a try when in the conway area! You will not be disappointed. read more

Jo Hibachi - Menu - Japanese Near Me - Conway, South Carolina

This hibachi restaurant is a hibachi restaurant like no other. I have been to so many hibachi restaurants along the grand strand and Conway trying to find the perfect bowl - and I finally found out. I'll break it down for you bit by bit. The rice this restaurant serves is not too salty. A lot of issues with hibachi is that the rice does not have enough soy sauce, or it has too much. Jo Hibachi has perfected their sodium to rice ratio. It is literally the best rice I have ever had. Their teriyaki chicken has been perfectly marinated for consumption. The chicken is always well trimmed, I have never bitten into a huge piece of chicken fat or cartilage. If you get steak, boy, do I have news for you: cooked to perfection. It is never too chewy or too tough to eat. The hibachi chef here is always consistent with his food. In terms of shrimp and other choices, they are all wonderful. I personally do not eat seafood, but everyone I have ever had the pleasure of taking to Jo hibachi who gets seafood always leaves full and happy. Alright, now let's talk about the staff: The staff here is incredibly friendly. I have never met someone in this establishment who hates their job outwardly. I have always been treated with respect. No one has ever gotten an attitude towards me, or been short. I have always been greeted with a smile, and told to have a wonderful day. The staff at jo hibachi is a big group of happy, amazing, wonderful people who strive to serve amazing food and amazing customer service. What's the verdict? Go to Jo's. Just shut up. Get in your car. Put your seatbelt on (for safety). Put your key in the ignition and start that baby up and drive yourself right over to Jo's. There is no question about "will I enjoy it" or "will it be good" -- IT WILL BE AMAZING BECAUSE IT IS THE BEST HIBACHI EVER!!!! read more

Best quick hibachi restaurant in the area. It's clean inside, the ingredients are quality. It's always crowded (pre-Covid). I no longer live in the area, but Jo is one of my go-tos when I visit my family. read more

Food was very good! It was pretty busy so it must be a popular place. I will be back!

I was hugely upset, I know during the pandemic we all are trying and most of us counting pennies so when I splurge to grab take out last thing I want is the restaurant to charge me 25 for a 16$ meal and refund it only to make me pay the $16 Then offered refund of cash but didn't follow through and now will take 8 days now I paid 40+$ for a $15 meal and didn't even get yumyum sauce I paid for so wasted gas going all the way back there to grab them. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!! This isn't first thing that's happened there either. Maybe the last though read more

Honestly, really great for the price. My husband and I ordered postmates from here close to closing time which we felt bad about, but we starving and wanted to try this place. They followed all the order notes. Really like this place, and we will be ordering from here again! read more

This restaurant is clean and quick. I only wished they offered delivery option. I always get the chicken bowl and as of late the chicken is just way too overdone even with drowning the chicken in sauce still tastes dry. read more

The hibachi is delicious quite possibly the best I've ever had. Why does this matter? First, I'm an Asian. I was born into the hibachi world and have developed a taste for only the world's finest. That's why I go to Jo's. Second, I am the Triple-A Class Teppanyaki Grand Master for the last three years. I studied under Jo for this and he granted me my black belt. The only problem with Jo Hibachi? You can't get it for breakfast or on Sunday. Both of which make me very sad. read more

The entree portion size was great for what you pay. The food tasted fresh, and the staff was very friendly. I will say the restaurant is small and seems to be quiet busy. So be prepared if you have to wait to find a table. read more

Welcome to the kerm and moose daily reviews. if you like please like, comment, subscribed or send a friend request! we don't bite or hoove. we stumbled on in here because people have been raving about this place. The staff is so friendly and the place was packed with locals as it seemed from the convos between the humans. We got some grub and it was decent. The rice was a little overcooked and the steak was dry and the chicken was decent. My moose thought the sushi was the best and was very moosing with it as she hooved it down. The dumpling weren't terrible but were smallish but doable. Its nice to see above age people working as other places have some 10 years old doing all the work with a playhouse that grown ups don't get invited to :(. Hopefully it was just an off night for this place :( was hoping it would be unreal. kermito certified. read more
