While a little crunch at the time of making the roll adds a texture that some may like and I wouldn't have cared, many times they make the spicy rolls with crunch mixed in which just waters down the taste of the roll. The rolls tasted like crunch only, Like I was eating mouthfuls of breadcrumbs. They were horrible and I did let them know but this needs to be shared. If they have new owners or a new sushi chef, then hopefully they can correct this. There aren't many great choices for sushi near me and this place used to be good but I threw away most of the food so not sure if and when I'd give them another shot.

The problem was the way the hostess treated me. She was rude, argumentative, and made me feel personally attacked. Because of the way she spoke to me, I asked to speak with the manager. She told me to "hold on one second" and went to get him. When he came over, I calmly explained what had happened. I wasn't asking to be seated anymore. I simply wanted him to know how I had been treated. I never cursed, yelled, or became abusive. We left peacefully. A few months later, we decided to give Yamato another chance and ate there in May without any issues. Today, we returned for my son's birthday. We had made our reservation two weeks in advance, and I even called earlier today to add one more person to our party. When we arrived, it was the same hostess. She recognized me, told me to wait, and went to get the manager. He then told us we had to leave "for security reasons" because of how I had supposedly treated the hostess last year. I was stunned. Last year, I simply reported what I believed was rude and unprofessional treatment. We had already dined there since then without any problems, so I don't understand why this suddenly became an issue today. Being asked to leave in front of my family on my son's birthday was embarrassing and upsetting. This is now the second negative experience I've had involving the same hostess and management.
