I'm so glad we gave it a chance--because the food was delicious! We filled up on appetizers and soup, and honestly, that was more than enough. The bacon-wrapped shrimp were hands down the best I've ever had--perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The steak tips with blue cheese were incredibly tasty too--tender, juicy, and rich. Found Coppers as we were walking around downtown. Good find. Love the open kitchen. The Charleston chicken was flavorful but the potatoes with the burnt on cheese was difficult to cut or break into. The French Onion soup was a big hit. Also, my beer must have been just put into the refrigerator because it was warm....but I'll be back. read more

Went here after hearing good things about the restaurant, but highly disappointed. While waiting to get in, they had their full menu on display. But once we were seated, we were given a menu that was about 1/3 of the full menu. When we asked if the full menu was available, our waitress said no because they were too busy. We ordered the bruschetta toast (which was on the reduced menu) and after waiting 15 mins, our waitress said the manager told her they were out of bruschetta. Really, we got there when you just opened. Still ordered the filet which was overcooked and tough. Better options in town. read more

Somehow ran out of French Onion soup at 6:30p on a Thursday, with only a few occupied tables, item is not listed as limited. Also they apparently serve bread, but none was ever delivered to our table. Requested lemon for water, but it never arrived. No action or expanantions on any of the issues. Server was nice enough, I don't know if she alerted manager to our dissatisfaction, however I feel it's the responsibility of management to train staff to bring issues to their attention, not mine. There are many other restaurants within walking distance of this one, I'd recommend an alternative over here. read more

I will put the downside first since it's an wast fix. The hostesses were terrible. No greeting, very much seemed annoyed. Two young girls without supervision. I half expected them to say "Ok Boomer" when I told them reservation for two. Now for the important part, the food was outstanding, our waiter was awesome, the atmosphere was perfect. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering. The atmosphere warm, inviting, cozy, and relaxing. Our waitress, Molly, was professional and informative with the menu items we had questions about. I had the southern favorite Shrimp and Grits and hubby decided on Salmon and scallops. The food was cooked to perfection. The staff took their time having conversation and getting to know us a bit. Would highly recommend. They also have about door seating available. The worst customer service I have ever received at a restaurant. Had a reservation set for 6:30 and didn't get seated until 6:55. Absolutely no interaction with waiters other than telling us to wait and when they took our order. Took over an hour to get our food and it wasn't even that busy. Do not come here. read more

Ate for the first time tonight. Ordered the salmon and scallops entre. Very disappointed in my choice. For $34 the plate came with a 1 inch wide x 5 inches long salmon steak. What really disappointed me was the fact that they served 2 pieces of scallops approximately the size of a nickel. This meal was definitely not worth the money. My girlfriend and I tried to eat there last night (Wednesday) and the door was locked. No note on the door or website. A couple of employees could be seen inside the restaurant. I don't know if they're out of business or just not smart enough to put a note on the door. In any case, there are plenty of other good places to eat nearby. Went here for dinner 2 weeks ago, absolute perfection. I've never in my Life eaten a tomato, ever. My total lex Luther. But this place had me eating fried green tomato's and I loved them. Shrimp and grits were mouthwatering. They also had live music and the singer was AMAZING!!! It was a date night for me and my husband and it was one of the best ones I can remember. This was 3rd time visiting Coppers and we thought it was our reliable great foodie experience for our out of town visitors, until our visit this last Saturday, 12/21 (party of 4). Upon arrival, we were immediately told that there was an understaffing issue. No problem at this point as we are pretty laid back folks. However, after ordering and waiting patiently, my husband's chicken parm, arrives first and it's cold. It was so bad we sent back. Meantime, other 3 dishes arrive, My scallops were cold, served on wilted salad. Scallops were cooked right but cold. I ate them without saying anything as i didn't want to add to the unhappy table atmosphere. The other two meals were piping hot but oh my gosh one of the plates - was so gross looking. The Shrimp and Grits were an absolute disaster a showcase with massive amount of bland grits just slopped on plate and a few shrimp thrown on. No plating pride whatsoever! My brother in law, being a kind non conflict person was quiet didn't complain and ate silently...there was no love nor pride on this plate. Husband's food came back, clearly microwaved with some barely melted cheese on now tough chicken. We were so dissatisfied with the lackluster food and quality. 12/9/23 Sat at the bar to wait for a table. Coming from a career fine dining bartender. Took 15-20 minutes for bartender to notice us with 6 people at 12-15 person bar and fairly slow well. Guests complained next to me and I defended the drinks like anyone would in the industry. Cocktails and menu expensive and made improperly. (Market price "Sizzlin Steak" no explanation of which cut should tell you everything you need to know. Couldnt even finish them, still tipped 20%+ don't go here. read more

Sodium central! Every dish our group of 6 had complained of too much salt. The best dish we had was the French onion soup but still had too much salt. Husband had the shrimp scampi pasta and said had no flavor. The chicken dish (can't remember the name) it had potato scallops, that too was way too salty. So if you have high blood pressure or care about your health it's not the place for you. As my friend said, it's a one and done. This place was a huge disappointment. Waitress was very nice and attentive, but didn't notice we didn't hardly touch the charcuterie board, which is supposed to include local farmed products. It was a couple cheeses I could pick up at Walmart and toss em on a board. My pork chop was well done and their idea of seasoned is just burnt flavor. The special my wife ordered med rare was med at best but at least had the same burnt seasoned flavor.... Kids had buttered noodles, way to go for not messing that up. We were in Conway on business from out of town, and needed a place with good food and outside seating on a late Thursday evening. Coopers was fabulous. Super hometown feel, with a classic glamour to it. The food was phenomenal and cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive, and the waitress was super cool and chatted with us about where to go for the weekend and some good local bands playing nearby. If I ever go back to Conway, I will definitely go back to Cooper's. read more

My husband and I decided to try Coppers for lunch on a rainy afternoon while we were in Conway. The location is beautiful. Walking in through the huge wood and wrought iron door, we were hopeful we had stumbled upon a gem. We love to support local businesses, and thought this location might become a new favorite. The lunch menu is rather simple with a few select meals and a build your own plate option. I opted for the shrimp and grits and my husband decided on the pork chop with sautéed zucchini and yellow squash, rice and gravy, and fried okra, which he changed to fried chicken as they were out of pork chops. My shrimp and grits did not at all meet my expectations. The shrimp were not blackened as in a style of cuisine. They were blackened as in charred and burned. They had no flavor. The plate also looked rather sloppy because some of the shrimp had tails and some did not. They were fanned out around the grits. The grits were very thick. They were supposed to be cheese grits, but it seemed the only cheese was a few shreds thrown on top of the dish. The grits were topped with two slices of fried green tomato, which also had no distinct flavor except oil. The great part of the dish was the sauce, but it would have been even better a bit thinner over the thickened grits. My husband received three pieces of fried chicken- a breast and two wings. The breast had a rich golden color, but the wings were really light in color. The chicken had a crispy looking skin and made me think of Popeye's chicken. It looked and tasted like it had been re-fried to heat. It wasn't really hot all the way through, and the meat was tough. The rice and vegetables were okay, but the chicken was not good at all. A biscuit was served with the plate. It looked like a freshly made, real southern biscuit. It did not taste like a fresh biscuit. It was very hard and was not good. I think the prices here are highly inflated for the quality of what was served. Gas station fried chicken would beat this any day! read more

Coppers is a great find! While visiting my Dad down in Conway, we had lunch here; and boy, let me tell you...really, really good. Great selections on their buffet, a drink, and a killer salad bar all at a very reasonable price! Premium Southern food is here, and waiting. Also, don't me started on their staff. Top notch! We have visited Coopers many times in the past. Usually the food is good, and the Sunday buffet was great! Today was the first time we have gone since the buffet was reinstated. What a disappointment! It was mainly brunch food with fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. 2 pieces of our chicken were partially uncooked, the waffles were cold( as in partially frozen), and it just wasn't what they usually serve.
