Open kitchen!!!!
Rick T.

Found Coppers as we were walking around downtown. Good find. Love the open kitchen. The Charleston chicken was flavorful but the potatoes with the burnt on cheese was difficult to cut or break into. The French Onion soup was a big hit. Also, my beer must have been just put into the refrigerator because it was warm....but I'll be back.

Overcooked filet

Went here after hearing good things about the restaurant, but highly disappointed. While waiting to get in, they had their full menu on display. But once we were seated, we were given a menu that was about 1/3 of the full menu. When we asked if the full menu was available, our waitress said no because they were too busy. We ordered the bruschetta toast (which was on the reduced menu) and after waiting 15 mins, our waitress said the manager told her they were out of bruschetta. Really, we got there when you just opened. Still ordered the filet which was overcooked and tough. Better options in town.

Shrimp fettuccine was delicious!!

What a nice restaurant! The first time we went we sat outside and they had someone playing music. Service was great. Our waiter was very helpful. Food was VERY good!! We decided to go back before Christmas and sat inside. The hostess was so nice, we were seated right away. Service was very good, our waitress was a college aged girl with a great personality. Food was great!! Such a nice restaurant. We will go back!

Cooper's is great old fashioned country cooking. Buffet on Sunday is reasonable on price. Service is decent. I would recommend!

American Wagu Flat Iron was amazing, mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had, and cheesecake was great. I can't recommend this place enough. The caveat is, it might look closed from the outside because the bar is through a set of doors behind the dining room, and I guess most people eat in the bar area. We almost didn't come in because we thought they were closed, but we are so glad we did come in. One of the best meals/dining experiences I've ever had.

This evening was a very good experience, mostly. Let's get the less than positive out of the way. We made reservations for 5PM. We were out and about and got there about a half an hour early. Walk in, spoke with the hostess and explained we knew we were early. (By the way, there were very few people in the restaurant at the time). The Hostess, an older female with longish greying hair, huffed then showed us to a table. She at least took us to an outside table as we requested. She never identified herself. And honestly we felt as if we were bothering her. Ok, enough of that. Now the positive. Our server was Taylor. This young man was awesome. He was upbeat and personable. Very pleasant and wanted to communicate, not just serve us. My wife and I asked for water, and ordered an appetizer of their Mac and Cheese balls. They were awesome. Hot, fresh, stuffed with pasta and warm flavorful cheese. Next we ordered cocktails. My wife ordered a Painkiller. Me an Old Fashion. Taylor recommended I try their version, New Fashion. Made with their mix of a house Bourbon. Man it was good. And the Painkiller? Let's just saw I held my wife hand, and guided her to our vehicle. For our main courses, my wife had the chicken and sausage pasta. I had the Bison Ribeye. Both we would order again without hesitation. The pasta dish was huge. With two breasts and numerous pieces of sausage. Over Fettuccini style pasta, with a lite and flavorful red sauce. It tasted fresh, and rich. She could only eat about a third of it. The rest came home. I ordered my Bison medium rare. The Chef hit it perfectly. Beautiful red meat in the center, nice and warm. So much flavor, and tender. With it I had the potato of the day. They were mashed with the skin. Full of butter, milk, and seasoned. In addition I had a side of creamed spinach. Very rich and deep. The cream tasted similar to a cheese sauce. So good. I brought nothing home. Finished the entire meal there. In addition, because it was our anniversary, the gave us a very nice card. And a piece of cake for dessert. Champaign was offered, but neither of us drink it, and didn't want to waste it. If you haven't tried Crooked Oak Tavern, you are missing a very nice experience.

We got there a bit early. The ballet parking attendant welcomed us, opened all doors of my vehicle…read morefor me and my party. He said "sir... enjoy your meal. I will take it from here" as I gave him the keys to my car and he handed a ticket to identify my car. They still confirmed our arrival on their list and after waiting for a few minutes, they sat us at our table earlier than the opening time and started service. Out of the many places I have been to, it is the first time I see servers all come out at once with a demeanor of "it is go time". No hesitation, not dragging their arms... it looked like they had been waiting for this moment and it could not come soon enough... they were eager to serve us. I had my youngest child who is very inquisitive and the server had no issues answering questions and making concessions. What the server described about the things we were ordering was on-point. We knew exactly what we were getting and, quite honestly, the food and beverages were even better than described even when she was very detailed. I noticed a gentleman who was prepping our plates and believe me when I say, this fella was making sure everything was perfect. We could see the body language and the focus when setting everything on the plate. He wanted nothing out of place. That said, the food was nothing short from incredible. I had a New York strip steak which is probably my favorite cut. The seasoning, the cook and the tenderness was so great that I believe this might have been the best steak I have had and I have had many from the east coast all the way to the west and from north to south. The server came around the perfect amount of times to refill, ask if everything was okay or to take plates away. We were never left unattended at the point we felt we were the only ones there although the place was getting busy very quick. Food came out very prompt, but the quality never suffered. The manager came to us, introduced herself and said "if you need anything, do not hesitate to call me over". Once we were done enjoying our meals, my server asked me for my ballet parking ticket. She said to not worry about rushing but that she would keep an eye out for us and would make sure our car was ready by the time we needed to leave. When we closed our tab and started to leave our table, I could see her rush to the ballet and come back. By the time we walked to the door, my car was right there waiting for me. Plain and simple, I know it is fine dine. But I have experienced places that when you come with children they may not take you as serious or put you wherever you wouldn't bother anyone and even put you in the back burner. Here? If this is not excellent service, with staff that cares and high quality food, I don't know what is. This place has high standards and it shows. So, I will confidently say, you don't have to try this place... you NEED to try this place. I have never been as confident about recommending a place as I am about New York Prime. This is a well oiled machine that will not let anyone down. Great job to everyone who was serving guests on August 20, 2026 at 5pm. You guys rocked it! Customer experience 101 at the best of its versions!

I highly recommend reservations during the summer. The ambiance In the restaurant is very cozy. There was plenty of staff keeping the pace moving. Our server Sabrina greeted us cheerfully and took our drink order right away. When she returned we had questions about a few menu items. Sabrina cheerfully pointed out some of her favorites and we were happy she did! We ordered nachos with homemade chili for an appetizer and they were huge! For our entrees we ordered a Fried Flounder Platter and the Nawlins Chicken. The flounder had a few bones so that caused some apprehension. Although both entrees were good, the real show stopper was the side salad! Following Sabrina's recommendation, we all ordered with their house dressing and the most delicious croissant we ever ate. If you don't remember anything, about this post, remember the salad We were thankful for Sabrina's pleasant demeanor and great attitude making our meal even more enjoyable! i believe a great server can make or break a night out.

I had the filet and my wife had the strip steak both were cooked perfectly. We added a side of the cowboy toppings (onions bacon and horseradish). For side we had spaghetti with meat sauce and Italian green beans. It also came with salad and breadsticks. We did not try the buffet as my wife prefers table service. The desert was amazing even as to go, my wife chose the key lime pie and I opted for the peanut butter pie. The service was top notch. The restaurant was clean and neat even after having a private party of over 100 people shortly before we got there.

We always love hunting down a good buffet so stopped in to try the Italian buffet Angelo offers from 3-6pm featuring an assortment of pastas and classic Italian dishes. We arrived a bit early into their dinner service (around 5:30pm) and had no problem being sat - although there were was a wait by the time we were done dining and left. The $20.95 buffet is served cafeteria style where you go up to the buffet line and tell serving staff behind the counter what you would like to have added to plate. I went up twice and sampled a little bit of everything off the bar....the standout items to me were the steak & potatoes (our table's favorite), the stuffed shells, the cheese ravioli, and the pizza. Definitely make sure to try those if you visit. For the meh of it - i would steer clear of the meat stuffed ravioli, the tortellini, and the lasagna...one bite of those dishes were enough to push them aside on the plate....other items on the buffet (meatballs, spaghetti, italian sausage, etc were fine but nothing to write home about). The buffet is also served with a shared family style salad and garlic bread....if you want a refill of either you will be charged a fee just fyi. When it came to our server Elizabeth the service left something to be desired...she was all over the place, a bit short with us, and would drop off items and immediately rush off before we could ask for things and then not be seen for a while....not sure if she was just super busy and overwhelmed or what but there were a few times when we flagged down other servers for assistance....her sporadic energy was very different from what we observed from other servers in the dining room we were in. All in all it's a decent buffet option in Myrtle Beach if you're looking for a non-seafood option. And if buffets aren't your thing, they do also have a full regular menue you can order from as well.

If you want a dining experience that is the complete opposite of tourism-centric Myrtle Beach,…read moreLuvan's is definitely your stop. The place is truly an 800-square-foot, one-room cabin, and the proprietor, Richard, is a one-man show. He's your host, waiter, busboy, and cook. And yes, Richard is getting older and moves at a slower pace--but what he does is absolutely worth the wait and definitely worth the price. Seriously, this is the place, but you have to understand what you're getting into. It's rustic, intimate, and operates at a slow Southern pace. If you're in a hurry, this probably isn't for you. If you're looking for something unique, it's perfect. Our party of six had catfish and shrimp, and both were excellent and served in generous portions. The fried green tomatoes and fried okra literally came from Richard's garden earlier that day. Everything was fresh, homemade, and delicious. The total bill for six dinners, six sodas, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, and three desserts came to $140 before tip. Try finding that at a Myrtle Beach tourist restaurant. As we were leaving, Richard told us not to tell too many people about his place. I think he was only partially joking. Luvan's is by reservation only. If you don't have a reservation, don't even bother. Richard only serves a few small groups each evening, which is probably part of what makes the experience so special. And yes, as others have noted, there's no alcohol for sale--but you can bring your own beer to enjoy with dinner. Where else does that happen? A big YES to Luvan's all around. Just don't tell too many people about it!
