Nothing to look at, but the food is great. Was passing through Conway on business and seen them on yelp. Will be going back again the next time I'm down that way.

The fish was bland with no seasoning at all. The only wau that I will come back here is to buy it myself and cook it.

Great tasting food! It was so close to our condo and first time trying it out. Being from…read morePittsburgh, it's hard to beat a Wholey's fish sandwich. But this comes close and that's saying something. My wife ordered the crab cake sliders and I, the regular fish sandwich. We met the owner and his wife. I mentioned we were from Pittsburgh and frequent Wholey's. I think the owner said it was Whiting. Wholey's is Cod. But he was aware of the owner and made a joke about him selling house in Squirrel Hill and moving into a condo in Myrtle. Nice folks. Great fish!

They do tons of carry out (very busy while we were there)!! You place your order and pay first. Then, have a seat and wait for it to be delivered. If you need a drink refill, you need to go up to that. We went for steamed crabs only, but the rest of the food looks amazing. People I was with have eaten there before and raved about how fresh and delicious everything in the menu was. This trip was steamed crabs only. We ordered #1's for $48/dozen. We also ordered sodas. They do have beer to go with the crabs too! Didn't wait long. They were good. However, I don't think they were #1 level. At the most maybe mediums. We had several that were paper thin and no meat. They were full. Very watery and not seasoned nearly enough. We weren't expecting Maryland style crabs as we are in South Carolina, but weee hopeful they would be steamed and seasoned a little more. They do need those little food fans on the tables as the flies were annoying (we sat inside). Had to put napkins on top of our cups. The service here is lovely! Just super friendly and welcoming. Shoutout to Justin?? Might have been Nick - ugh, can't remember. Young kid, dark hair. They were so busy, and they were for sure stretched thin. He did his best and even checked on us once while also bussing tables, taking orders, sweeping, delivering food, etc. Was debating between a 3 or 4, but realized that shouldn't hold them responsible for replicating a different style of steaming crabs and seasoning them. The service and atmosphere were great. Their food in general is delicious,

If you want a dining experience that is the complete opposite of tourism-centric Myrtle Beach,…read moreLuvan's is definitely your stop. The place is truly an 800-square-foot, one-room cabin, and the proprietor, Richard, is a one-man show. He's your host, waiter, busboy, and cook. And yes, Richard is getting older and moves at a slower pace--but what he does is absolutely worth the wait and definitely worth the price. Seriously, this is the place, but you have to understand what you're getting into. It's rustic, intimate, and operates at a slow Southern pace. If you're in a hurry, this probably isn't for you. If you're looking for something unique, it's perfect. Our party of six had catfish and shrimp, and both were excellent and served in generous portions. The fried green tomatoes and fried okra literally came from Richard's garden earlier that day. Everything was fresh, homemade, and delicious. The total bill for six dinners, six sodas, fried okra, fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, and three desserts came to $140 before tip. Try finding that at a Myrtle Beach tourist restaurant. As we were leaving, Richard told us not to tell too many people about his place. I think he was only partially joking. Luvan's is by reservation only. If you don't have a reservation, don't even bother. Richard only serves a few small groups each evening, which is probably part of what makes the experience so special. And yes, as others have noted, there's no alcohol for sale--but you can bring your own beer to enjoy with dinner. Where else does that happen? A big YES to Luvan's all around. Just don't tell too many people about it!

Unless…read moreyour primary goal is to consume a significant volume of food or specifically target the snow crab selection, the value proposition here is difficult to justify given the price point. While the food selection was adequate, the dining environment significantly detracted from the experience. Our group was seated in an extremely cramped area, positioned far too close to an already occupied table. For a buffet setting--where guests are frequently moving to and from the service stations--the lack of floor space made navigating the dining room frustrating. Furthermore, the layout is not conducive to families with small children, as there was virtually no room to accommodate a stroller. On a positive note, the service was a highlight. Our server, Kat, was exceptional; she was professional, attentive, and consistently ensured that our party had everything we needed throughout the meal. While the staff is clearly working hard to provide great service, the combination of high pricing and a restrictive, uncomfortable seating arrangement makes it difficult to recommend this location for those seeking a relaxed or spacious dining experience.
