There was a small piece of flounder, a barely adequate serving of fried shrimp, white cole slaw in a small shallow bowl, and a few French fries lay across the seafood. The French fry serving was so small, it was more like a garnish than a side item. A basket of hush puppies arrived after I placed my order. The food was not bad, but, in small town Calabash, famous for its many seafood restaurants, you cannot be ordinary. I would not go back to this restaurant. There was also a coupon that said "free wings" and then they said that was actually buy one get one free... so it really feels like false advertising to have coupons with zero fine print or explanation that they are advertising and then they just tell you when you get there (after driving 20 mins) that there are all these hidden rules. Be upfront about what you're offering or honor it. Not sure I would return if that's the way they do business. It also took over 20 mins for my 2 skewers and cup of soup to come out in a completely empty restaurant after it taking 15+ mins to order after all the calls and such. What I initially noticed was the amount of bones floating in the oxtail pan. Other than that, visually, everything else looked fine; unfortunately, it did not taste that way. I can't even remember the last time I had to go into my spice cabinet to retrieve the salt, pepper, garlic power, and onion powder in order for my food to have a taste I could tolerate, but I had to that day. Oh, and even after adding those, I chased each bite with Jalapeno Cheetos! THAT actually did the trick for me!! Two meals and both were rather bad and neither of us could finish. The rolls were good, but they were brand/store bought. On a positive note, the customer service was fantastic ! Really awesome people there!!!
