I have been to Boston a few times but this was my first time at Committee. It was really good! Service was a little slow at the beginning because their seemed to be confusion about who our table belonged to but it was alright because our drinks were comped. We ordered a variety of items but our main motivation for going to Committee was for the Feta 2.0, it was so so good. The pita was also fantastic with the tzatziki. We ordered the dip trio but should have paid closer attention to what the dips were as we had to order traditional tzatziki separate. I got the portokalopita for dessert, it was good but a little to dense. I think had just been taken out of the fridge so it was a little tough. read more

Down a road that I have walked in Seaport a number of 2 times in my 5 years in Boston, Committee is there for those who know. Inside is designed like a hipster coffee shop but more of a bar flare. There are fun shapes from wooden crates on the ceiling with flower pots hanging from them. It doesn't look big from the front as you enter to some couches but you walk past the host stand to see high tables that feel very communal along with some booths and normal tables. The vibes at night were immaculate. A live DJ came in playing some refreshing tropical house beats that had my head bopping throughout the dinner. This is definitely small tapas so best to go with a group and try one of the feast menu options. The drinks all had really fun names and some had cute things attached to them for example: patio daddy o had a mustache on it and aphrodite era has a greek goddess sticker. These also were my favorite drinks. They were sweet and refreshing and plus the patio daddy o glass reminded me of Squidward's house. Not much to say for service, it wasn't bad but nothing really amazing. There were a few times when we were sitting just wondering when the waiter was going to come or when we told them it was a birthday and they brought something and just kind of vanished. Now to the real deal. The kreaton is one of the MUST because that will fill you up. It comes with sausage, pork and lamb, pita, sauces and a TON of fries. The bread and meat were honestly gone in like 5-10mins. The PITA ... I'm a girl who loves her bread and when I have some good stuff I can't stop babbling about it. We also got some appetizers and my favorite though it was small was the shrimp. It just tasted so fresh and was very plump and juicy. Finally, we got dessert which was a baklava sundae and for some reason I was expecting something like an apple pie with ice cream. Nope, this was some fluff texture with sesame and honey and other things in it. The texture confused me but I actually really liked it. Not too sweet where you regret it after but just right. Came here for brunch with a large group on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty busy, but we had a reservation, so were able to be seated immediately. The interior is pretty cozy, but we were seated near the door, so it was a bit cold. The brunch menu is fairly limited, and we were surprised to hear that there were no vegan options. They were however accommodating to one member in our group's dietary restrictions, allowing us to swap out items with a vegan alternative. I got the lamb hash, which was more potato than lamb. The flavor was alright, nothing too special. The pancakes were pretty good, and someone else in my group got the lamb burger, which he really enjoyed. Inside had very modern decorations with a wooden feel and plants. We had rented out the right side of the lounge space for our team outing. We had a vegetable platter with various dips, 3 types of sliders (beef, fried chicken, and falafel), 3 types of skewers (lamb, chicken, and veggies), and tuna tartare. The beef slider was a miss. It was not tender. The fried chicken was crunchy and satisfied my cravings. The falafel was also crunchy and well-fried. To my surprise, the lamb skewer was my favorite. It didn't have the gamey smell and was very tender. It had a perfect amount of herbs and salt/peppers. The veggie skewer was kinda sad. I wouldn't get that, if I was paying. Chicken was a bit dry. I got a bubble tea drink that had tapioca-looking bubbles inside the drink but it popped immediately when I bit into it and had a strawberry taste. It was a fizzy drink. Spring roll cocktail was interesting. It came with a soup spoon on top of the cup. Inside the cup were 2 crunchy pieces of chips with Thai flavor sauces. Would I get it again? Probably not. This is one of those brunch spots that people reserve months in advance, and I totally see why. Came here for my organization's membership brunch and boy were we in for some treat! It is very spacious inside, rooms for many tables and it is very beautifully decorated. We were a large group split on two high tables. The service was fast and they did not confuse any orders. I got the lamb hash and shared the Greek pancakes. Both items were delicious. The pancakes were the hit item at our table, but everything our group ordered , we were pleasantly surprised. Committee was recommended by a Boston friend as I was attending a conference nearby in Seaport. There were 5 of us and it was about a 20 minute walk from the convention center. This was definitely a hangout for local 20 somethings and it was very loud, but it had a super fun and celebratory vibe. We decided to order some hot and cold meze as well as an entree to share amongst all of us. The service was fantastic and they spaced out bringing each dish perfectly. Everything was delicious and the perfect amount. We loved the trio of dips and I couldn't get enough of the avocado tzatziki sauce. The pita bread that came with it was warm and crispy. We also enjoyed the burrata, roasted cauliflower, talagani (fried Green cheese) melitzana which was roasted eggplant and the spanikopita, which was my least favorite but still very good. For main dishes we shared the lamb meatballs and beef makaronaki which was brisket with ditalini pasta. The makaronaki was such delicious comfort food and we were all fighting over getting what was left of it towards the end. A highlight was the sundae sokolata dessert which was a brownie with halva ice cream. If you have never had halva ice cream before, you are missing out! Another honorable mention was my drink which was vodka, saffron, mango and ginger beer. There was a bunch of ice coming out of the top of the glass and it was so refreshing! First time trying Committee today after hearing lots about it. It's a bit of a trek out from Cambridge but we managed to find ourselves out in Seaport on this snowy day. There weren't any reservations online but we called and were able to snag a spot. When we got there at 11, it was fairly empty but filled up pretty quickly. We ordered coffees, the trio of dips, shakshuka, koulouri and eggs, pancakes and French toast. According to our friend, they just changed the pancake recipe (though unconfirmed) which is a total bummer. While it would have been nice to try the OG berry pancakes, the apple ones weren't too bad either! The koulouri and dips were great as was the shakshuka. The French toast was probably the only plate we didn't finish, as it was a bit too sweet for our taste. Pretty setting. Unkind service at the bar. Food is just ok+ but not more. My friend and I had a reservation but decided to try the bar. There were 2 vacant seats and 2 couples seating in between them. The bartender told me to ask the people to slide, but he didn't want to do so himself. So I did, and luckily, they were very kind and agreed to slide one seat happily. Then he changed his mind and said that other people were waiting before me. I got pretty annoyed at that point and went back to the reserved table.. The waiter at our table was very nice and even commented about the bartender's behavior, but didn't seem to know much about the dishes. Also, no compensation was offered. We ended up with wine and cocktails (too sweet), then the chips (cold, some crisp, some soggy), the "sweet potato" dish (that turned out to be a very simple overpriced salad!), and ceviche (delicious, yet on the smaller site). Solid place to eat in seaport. Came here with an ex co worker and got a breakfast wrap with home fries. It was pretty solid and definitely served the purpose of starting your day off the right way. Had dinner there with my friend who really wanted to have some Mediterranean food. We were both hungry so we ordered quite a few dishes, but the dishes were in general of good sizes. Ordered fried halloumi, tomato bread, spanankopita manti (basically spniach and feta dumplings in savory sauce), crab dip, GFC (fried chicken), carrot cake and Greek coffee. The halloumi was not very good. It was breaded and fried. The dumplings were a hit, both of us thought the dish was the best one for appetizer. It had rich stuff inside, and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. I enjoyed the crab dip a lot, while my friend got the GFC. He did not finish it though lol due to the huge size -- it could be shared by two actually. The green powder on it was interesting, it was salty, smoky and a bit sweet. We finished the meal with Greek coffee, which was extremely bitter, but was defnitely an interesting experience! The restaurant had a "fine-dining" vibe inside: spacious dining area and gorgeous decor. However, the service could be better. Our server was extremely slow. In this twilight zone of a neighborhood, supermarket hummus becomes $16, a half plate of overcooked lamb becomes a "feast" and an empty, uninspired bar is constantly "at capacity". Witness servers who probably get paid less than the hummus costs (which maybe isn't that bizarro...) take it out on customers. Be shocked as those customers continue to come back and give this place better ratings than the goddamn museum they came for. Everything on the menu looked so good, and we had a hard time choosing what to pick - we eventually ended up ordering the Salmon Pita, Shakshouka, and Spanakopita Muffin, and all of them were incredible. Some of the most interesting cocktails I've ever tried, with very unique ingredients and very fun names, whose origin stories would probably be just as intriguing. As a Virgo, I had to try the cocktail of the same moniker and really loved it- the hibiscus flavor really popped. The "if you ain't first..." was definitely a first for me in terms of flavor- hard to describe but it sure was one of a kind. Barkeeps were a bit distracted but friendly enough. Wow, not sure why I've waited so long to give this place a try. We dined here on a very cold Friday evening and everything was just perfect from the food, service and all of the friendly staff. The dining room is attractive, lively and I expect gets jammed at times. Cocktails were very good, and I even sampled a few Greek wines which were enjoyable. The food here leans Greek of course, but there are a variety of Mediterranean options. Don't pass on the Zucchini crisps. Unlike any fried zucchini I've ever had, they are paper thin, lightly coated and fried. Crisp, delicious, not oily at all. Perfection really. We worked around the menu with a variety of small plates (this is tapas), but there are some larger plates as well. The only dish that we didn't really care for was the chickpea fritters, which were heavy and dry. All the other dishes were great. Give this place a try when in the Seaport. Starting off with being informed that half of the menu was unavailable was definitely a rocky start. This included essential items like the olive dish and 3 dip trio, which is a staple at Mediterranean restaurants. Aware that this was the first day of the resturant re-opening from construction, we still decided to peruse and give this highly talked about restaurant the benefit of the doubt. The Octopus came out pretty cold, the tomato's in the Horiatiki were sub par, and the short ribs were missing the Parmesan moose. The highlight of this meal was the French fries, believe it or not. To make this experience even better, they were out of to go boxes. While I understand they just opened back up after being closed for remodeling, it seems as if they would have been better off to remain closed for a few more days to get re-situated. read more

Friends had been wanting to try it for a while now and we were lucky enough to get a reservation for 6 on a Saturday night. This place was bustling with energy until closing hours and reminded me of some of the high end restaurants in NYC and Miami. Crowd was well dressed. Wow!! Let me say this again. Wow! First, this is a popular spot for good reason. Located in the north end and so perfect. The cocktails are some of the best I've ever had. The Mule is incredible. Our bartender was a craftsman! The small plates had so much flavor we went for drinks, which were cold, delicious, and perfectly crafted. We went to a work function, then returned for more beverages and food. That food hit! It was so- dang - delicious! The only regret I have is no pics. If you are nearby, make it a point to stop in.
