Initially I was hesitant to leave a review as getting them to do a follow up visit was very hard, but I had caught them in the middle of a new office transfer and training new employees. We also had some unpleasant neighbor experiences due to where we decided to install one of our units. Steven went out of his way to personally talk to my irate neighbor to mend things over. wow, what an unexpected treat! when Austin showed up to troubleshoot our A/C problem he was attentive, thorough, and knowledgeable. It turns out we really did need a replacement on a 28 year-old system and Steven was wonderful to work with to explain in greater detail some things we had questions about. Our heat stopped working on New Year's Eve and when we couldn't get a response from any other HVAC company the owner of CC spent literally 45 minutes trying to problem solve it (with no fee or expectation of any business) then dropped off two space heaters to get us through the weekend until they could repair the heat , which they did in short order when they were back in office a few days later. This was above and beyond the call of duty. The technician Scott was knowledgeable, timely, friendly, efficient. A+++ This review is long overdue. Comfort Connection has saved the day for us yet again. The last time I called on them was when our AC stopped working on a Friday night during a summer heat wave. They were super responsive and made every effort to get out to us as quickly as possible even though it was the weekend, 100+ degrees out, and they must have been slammed with other requests. This time, our furnace stopped working on day 5 of Snowmageddon 2024. A technician came to our house way sooner than I had expected in this extreme weather and in the promised time window. My furnace stopped working last Sunday. One company told me it would be $1200 to replace the inducer motor. Since my furnace was 25 years old I decided to replace it instead, and add central AC. I got 4 quotes, one from Comfort Connection. Steven was driving home from work when he got my call and made a detour to come give me a quote right then. He recommended a lower BTU furnace which no one else had, but after he explained why it made sense for my 1913 house. The price was also right! When I called him Thursday morning to tell him I was choosing his company he asked what time I wanted his guys there. They were at my house less the one hour later the same day and by 3pm I was warm again!!! They installed the furnace and AC coils and when it warms up (and I have saved some money) they will install the AC unit outside. I couldn't be happier. I was actually waiting to contact other service providers because I wanted to work with Comfort Connection based on the number of positive reviews, and I feel extremely disappointed in my interactions with Steven. I know communicating on the weekend is difficult and sometimes undesired, but I would have totally understood and accepted if he simply let me know that he was unable to help or that he would get back to me on a different day during the week. Instead I was pretty much ignored which feels inconsiderate and unprofessional. 1st attempt to contact - called on Thurs 7/16 11:30 am and left a voicemail, Steven texted me that he was in a meeting and he would call when he was finished. I said that would work and he never called back 2nd contact - I texted Steven on Saturday 7/18. he called me back and asked me some diagnostic questions about my unit. after speaking and communicating back and forth for a bit, he said that we would talk tomorrow (Sunday) and he would call me mid day. He never did. 3rd attempt to contact - called and left a voicemail on Weds 7/22 asking that someone would call me back, even if it was to say they were busy and not accepting new clients. Was unexpectedly able to get a same-day appointment. When I called, they were on the phone, Steven texted back asking permission to return call when they finished with the customer they were already helping. Awesome! Called back promptly, and advised Daniel would be able to swing by after his current appointment, and provided estimate of price and arrival time. Steven confirmed arrival schedule, Daniel arrived exactly on schedule, masked up before he approached, and quickly and accurately diagnosed issue, offered to include a servicing for an additional charge, and fixed the issue (blasted ignitor, and partially clogged pressure pipe) and serviced and cleaned up the furnace in a little over an hour, start to finish. Steven, Cody, and Daniel were great! Even during the busiest time of the year, they scheduled a service call right away. After diagnosing the issue, they ordered a part and installed it as soon as it arrived at the warehouse. Super friendly and the furnace is now working again. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of a few lapses in communication, as others have mentioned. I think they would benefit from having an organized dispatcher to stay on top of things. But I just politely and persistently called throughout the process and ended up happy with the price and the results. Would definitely work with them again. Update (Nov. 30th) - I just spoke with the owner, Steven, and was very impressed with the follow-up. He let me know that they are hiring an office manager, as I suggested, and even shared with me some of the extra effort involved in getting the part shipped in such a short amount of time. I have nothing but great things to say about Steven and his crew. Steven is the owner and he came to my house to provide the estimate. His price was by far the lowest of the 5 bids that I received, and he had only top of the line equipment to offer. I wanted to get my AC units (2 units) installed before the summer rush and he was able to install the same week that I got the estimate. The crew consisted of 3 guys (Austin, Sergei, and Stefan). They were all super friendly and worked quickly! I had central A/C and a ductless mini split installed in about a day (half a day x 2 days). I very much appreciated that there was no nickel and dime b.s. that you often get with contractors. The price quoted was inclusive of all work *AND* Steven upgraded my ductless unit (to a much stronger one) for no additional charge *AND* gave me a new thermostat for FREE to replace my really old/cheap one. How amazing is that? I was in shock a little bit when he did those things but I am so grateful. Oh, and he also gave me a little bit longer of a labor warranty on my ductless because I mentioned that another company offered it. Anyway, this company (Steven) is awesome. We've had Steven and his team install a furnace and two A/C units in our last two houses. His guys just finished installing an A/C unit in our latest home today. Hands down, they gave us the best price (by a long shot) and the best part is that the work they did was excellent. In fact, on this latest job, there was an issue with the size of the existing box that would house the A/C coil. Austin, the installer, could've forced the coil to fit, but as he explained, there would eventually be problems because it would be too tight and risked freezing up b/c of poor air flow. Instead of making it work, to get on to the next job, he came back this morning with a better coil that would fit, and finished the job. So ... besides a big Thank You to Steven for the great price and overall service, I have to especially say thanks to Austin. I love to especially see young guys like that who have a work ethic that is sorely lacking today. He obviously takes pride in his work, and it shows. I can't say enough about Comfort Connection. Steven and his team are awesome! I received 4 quotes in total to have Central AC installed in my house and Steven is the one that took the time to really explain all the details and answer my questions (which I always have a lot of them). He also came up with what I thought was the best solution for my house. And the great news, he was the lowest bid by far. Now I know you aren't supposed to go with the lowest bid, but I did my research thoroughly and everything told me he would do just as good of a job if not better than the other contractors. I have a 1920's home where the attic was converted to living space and so the upstairs just doesn't get good air and becomes extremely hot. The setup he recommended, and that I went with, was a Central Air system for the main floor and a Ductless Mini Split in each room upstairs. This was perfect as each room can control their own space and I was able to have them move one vent from a bedroom to a bathroom which really needed the air flow. His team came out and got started on a Tuesday and finished up Wednesday. It was a clean install and looks great. All members on his team knew what they were doing and asked me if they had to do a workaround because of placement or things in the way. They were all kind and pleasant to talk with. All in all they were great to work with and I would highly recommend them to others looking for an HVAC contractor. I will be using them for all future HVAC needs. OMG what a fantastic experience with Steven and his team. My furnace went out and I just expected to get the same old thing...a diagnoses that would be unable for me to understand and then having to make a decision on possibly replacing my entire furnace just because a professional said I had to. We were very pleased with our experience with Comfort Connection. After the oil furnace in my parents house failed, Steven installed a new gas furnace and air conditioning unit. He was great working with my elderly parents, taking the time to explain things and make sure that they were comfortable with the equipment. Our project required working with the gas company to run a gas line from the street. Steven coordinated with the gas company to ensure that everything went as planned.
