I genuinely appreciated this proactive approach, as it can be challenging to remember such things or reschedule them in a timely manner. Right from the start, I was impressed that a company whose work I had previously valued reached out to me. Air quality is of utmost importance to the health and safety of the children in my wife's daycare, which she runs from our home. Additionally, I strive to provide the best possible air for my family. When our technicians, Bo and Juan, informed me of their arrival time via text message, it allowed me to prepare the house accordingly. As a tip for others requesting service, ensure that the vents, ducts, and areas requiring service are easily accessible. Bo and Juan exhibited a high level of professionalism, friendliness, and politeness from the moment they arrived. These qualities are vital to me when allowing someone into my home, as the security and safety of my family are paramount. I'm cautious and observant, always looking for indications of potential trouble. However, Bo and Juan quickly put my mind at ease during the inspection of our air system. They patiently explained the work they would be performing, addressing all my questions regarding the system's condition and even discussing additional services the company offers. I appreciate doing business with companies that value my time, property, and financial well-being. Rest assured, when the need arises, I will definitely be calling upon Better Air Northwest again, and I hope to work with Bo and Juan in the future. Bo took the initiative to capture photos of various vents throughout the house, providing me with side-by-side comparisons of the work performed. Additionally, he showed me the catch filter before and after completing the job. These visual aids were immensely helpful in assessing the overall condition of our system. Despite completing the job within the quoted timeframe, I never felt that Bo and Juan rushed or cut any corners. I was very impressed with these guys even after seeing all of the positive reviews here on Yelp. When I called to make my appointment I was given very clear information about pricing as well as given a brief overview of what to expect when they were in my house. On the day of the appointment I received a call from Matt about 10 minutes before they were expected at my house, saying that they were on their way, and sure enough they showed up right on time. Matt and Mike were friendly, thorough, professional and respectful of my time and my home. They went about their work, showing me the equipment they'd be using and pointing out some of the intricacies of the ductwork in the house. They also discovered a couple of oddities, like a boarded up return (something done by a previous owner which I had truly never noticed) and a vent that was not connected to any of the air ducts. They investigated to make sure that the return was disconnected also from the ductwork and the other return in the house was working, and properly covered the bottom of the floating vent to retain warm air in the proper room. Once they had gone through all of the ducts (and cleaned the dryer vent), Matt went to take the gas furnace for a test run - only to discover that something wasn't working. He went above and beyond, assessing what he believed to be the problem, called one of his colleagues to get a price quote for me regarding a replacement part and service, and had Mike write down the details (including the make and model of the damaged part) on their invoice for me so I would have it. All in all I was very happy I contacted Better Air NW and would have no hesitations recommending them to friend in the area. read more

If you need your ducts cleaned, stop searching. Better Air Northwest's work is excellent, and their friendly customer service is some of the best our family has ever seen from any company. Our technicians, Justin and Bo, arrived on time and got to work right away. They explained what they were going to do and invited me to watch them if I desired (I didn't). I then got periodic updates on their progress. We have owned our home for 27 years, and (gulp!) had never had our air ducts cleaned. They had a big job, and did it efficiently, providing us with before and after photos of what they'd done. He also showed us the filter he was going to use before he started the process, and then showed it again afterward. We had a LOT of dirt in our ducts, but no longer. Along with cleaning our home's heating ducts, we also asked that they clean our dryer vent. Upon inspection, they discovered that the dryer duct was disconnected in two places, and was laying on the ground in our crawl space. Justin cheerfully said "No problem," put on a full-body suit, went into the crawl space and reattached the dryer duct in both spots. At no additional charge. When finished, they cleaned up after themselves really well. It was an excellent experience. We highly recommend Better Air Northwest! read more

I can't say enough good things about the Better Air Northwest professionals who cleaned the HVAC ducts in our two-story, 2700-sq.ft house in Feb. 2024 . The phone schedulers were very easy to work with. Techs Jeremy and Alex were personable, knowledgeable, on-time and friendly. They answered all our questions and cleaned the ducts very thoroughly. I appreciated their showing me "before and after" photos of the ducts--big difference!! And the way they carefully used shoe covers and kept our carpets clean was wonderful. Also, they were nice to our cats--we have five, who are usually afraid of new people and machine noises, but these guys somehow got around that and the kitties were not stressed. And they helped us solve a long-standing problem: wanting to add a vent to a musty basement closet that has no connection to our HVAC system. They put us in touch with another arm of Better Air NW who came out and surveyed the situation and gave us an estimate. We accepted, and are delighted that a vent can be added at a very reasonable cost. All in all, WOULD HIRE AGAIN in a heartbeat--it may be a few years before we need our ducts cleaned again, but when we do, I will call Better Air Northwest again. read more

My neighbor recommended Better Air Northwest and I'm so glad she did. Andreas and Vlad arrived at 5pm, exactly when I was told they'd show up. They cleaned out the dryer vent hose and the dryer vent itself and the dryer's lint collector. My appliances are not easy to move or access as they are full-size stackable in a narrow hallway closet in a condo. The hose had not been cleaned since I moved into this condo almost six years ago, and possibly not for a while before that. They showed me how much lint and dust was in there and then what it looked like after it was cleaned. There was only one problem and that was that the guys hadn't moved the appliances all the way back into the closet (in other words, just a couple more inches), so that I could not close the closet door on them. Since they came here on Friday afternoon at 5pm, I didn't call till Monday morning as there was no rush. When I called this morning, Melissa at the office said Blake could come at noon today. And sure enough, at exactly noon Blake showed up. He was able to move the appliances back into the closet and checked on a few other things. All is well and I highly recommend Better Air Northwest. This company and these guys are AWESOME!! We bought a bank owned home that needed a lot of TLC in a short amount of time (read lease ending and baby due). The ladies in the office were helpful, got us on the schedule, and then gave a great HVAC referral (when asked). We bought a new heating system for the home; the owner (Matt Brunsch) and Lawrence came out after hours, a week before scheduled, to clean the ducts because, if possible, it is best to do this when the heating unit is removed. The duct work was a mess. They went above and beyond by enlarging the opening of a few floor registers and reattaching the ducts. They also replaced duct work that had come apart because it was stretched too far by previous DIY homeowners. They hand scrubbed our disgusting ducts until they shined. Above and beyond! I can't sing their praises enough. They came out early (not expected but certainly appreciated) and worked late (time away from their families) to help our home be ready for our newly expanding family. We found Better Air NW at the Clark County Home & Garden Fair recently, and set up an appointment after talking with the owner. We just moved into our new home, a 1960's ranch fixer, and are trying to get all the deferred maintenance issues caught up for our own comfort and peace of mind. Rather than low-ball the price to get in our front door and then add on to the cost, like some companies might do, we were given a set price (at a show discount) for a complete cleaning and minor repair work of our ducts, which apparently had never, ever been cleaned. I know, EW! Well, Tony and Tyler, his apprentice, did a really thorough job and kept us informed throughout the process, which took nearly 4 hours, as they took their time to make sure the ducts were secure before blasting out all the nasty dust, etc that lurked inside, and did some cleaning inside our gas furnace as well. Overall, this company gets 5 stars for being honest, prompt, courteous, thorough and leaving no mess behind. Tyler gets extra kudos for navigating a crawl space that, in places, might require the skills of a contortionist. Good job, guys! read more

I have lived in my house in Longview WA for several years and I have fought dust from the vents when the heat pump runs. I noticed a great deal of dirt and dust in the ducts and called Better Air Northwest. From the initial call to the completion, I experienced great professionalism and excellent service. A huge Thank You to Eric and Chris for all their hard work, diligently pulling out all the dirt and sediment in the inside ducts,--even to the point of getting on a ladder outside and cleaning out my dryer vent which had a bird nest and mega lint buildup. Chris and Eric were very professional, personable, efficient, they went through every step with me that they would do, and very clean while doing their work and cleaned up everything after they were done. I had my heating ducts cleaned which were woefully overdue. The house was a rental before I bought it; raccoons, possums, mice had had many a party in those broken ducts ... none ending well. Better Air NW's staff/Darwin did a wonderful job: they added an access in the furnace's return so the furnace could be thoroughly cleaned, carefully vacuumed each heating vent w small vacuum (found one of my prized earrings), made sure former repairs on ducts/vents were smoothed and dust free. They then sealed all the inhouse vents and hooked up their large industrial vacuum to the heating vents and air return system in the house. Because of the mice etc history, I also had the sanitizer done (extra). On top of that they also cleaned the dryer vent! I never felt pressured, Darwin and the another person were knowledgeable and thorough. They wore booties in the house. I will have them back in Future! House smells fresher and back room heat vent seems to work a better, too. I will have them back in Future! read more

just two weeks ago I had Jason and Rick here from Better air northwest to clean our air ducks. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the awesome job Jason and Rick did. these guys were just great! Jason took the lead and explained every single step he did regarding just what and how they were planning to clean our much needed air ducts. Jason took his time, never rushing in answering my questions and giving me important information. they did a fantastic job! I am so pleased. They were extremely helpful and respectful. Justin, Bo and their crew provided me with an exceptional service that exceeded way beyond my expectation. After the crew performed a pressure diagnostic, a leakage was detected and Justin asked if he could check the condition of the duct underneath the house. What I didn't' expect was that he wore a protective work suit and crawled into the tight and dirty space under the house and sure enough, he located corroded duct with holes along with a damaged elbow and dislocated joints. Justin devised a temporary remedy by taping around the corroded duct for a replacement scheduled for a later date. I have rashes on my skin in winter each year and I suspected the skin problem was attributed to the quality of air coming from the heat duct. With dislocated duct joints and holes, not to mentioned the rodent droppings Justin found around the duct, no wonder I have been having the skin problems. First time experience with air duct cleaning services and I am impressed! I did my research (called a few businesses which didn't bother to answer the phone) then came across Better Air NW. As soon as I sent my email inquiry about service areas they cover Molli responded almost immediately, answered all my questions and got me scheduled. Nate and Arron arrived exactly as scheduled and was so courteous, polite and informative. They explained everything they do and why they do it. They offered information of things to be aware of with my furnace and made suggestions of actions that I can do to help my system work much more efficient. It is sometimes unnerving to welcome two complete strangers into your home but I felt at ease the minute they introduced themselves. Tony and Corey came to our house today in order to clean our ducts. They were very courteous and walked us through the process before starting the actual work. They then shot video of them cleaning the main air return and I was shocked at how dirty our ducts were and how clean (pink) they are when the guys are done cleaning them. We even have a Honeywell filtration system so I would have never believed it unless I saw it with my own eyes. The equipment they use is absolutely amazing and the basketball size dustball that came out of return duct along was something to see! . The professionalism and customer service these guys exhibited was truly outstanding. All's Well that Ends Well!! Called Better Air NW (BAN) last week and got an appointment for noon Thursday (8 Nov 12). Corey called from the truck and said he was 5 minutes away (and 15 minutes early). He and Jake rolled in, set up the equipment, went through the house (locating the ducts and air returns), then started cleaning the system from both ends. My wife has complained for 10 years that the house is always cold in the winter -- well no wonder, Corey found 5 disconnected pipes (delivering NO heat to the house and LOTS to the crawl space). After both the men fixed the ductwork, finished the cleaning job, and packed up the tools the total time from start to finish was about 3.5 hours or so. Very thorough job. Nice young men. Quality service. Priced as advertised and agreed upon. It will be 4 years from now, but I will call this company back for their service; for sure. read more

Thank YOU for cleaning out our ducts.. It is rare that a company comes 'on time', does the job as promised and when they leave no 'cleanup' is necessary. You did all that with a SMILE, even early in the AM. I was against having the ducts cleaned after my neighbor suffered thru the noisy machine that another company used. The entire neighborhood was unhappily subjected to their noise, and that is not an exaggeration. The loudest noise I heard from your machines was no more than what a small shop vacuum would make. It is quite a favorable difference. The before and after photos are making quite an impression with our friends, unfortunately many of them still have electric ceiling heat. They have no ducts to clean. But friends tell friends and many will know that you did a fantastic job at our home. Keep up the good work and know you're appreciated. read more

Better Air Northwest cleaned all of the duct work in my commercial building. All of my dealings with Better air were what I always hope that maintenance and construction projects will be, but often are not. Owner Matt Brunsch inspected the system and explained the process and gave me a very competitive bid. After we accepted the bid, we scheduled the work. Lead technician Tony Nefediew and his assistant arrived on schedule and got to work. Not only were they very thorough and neat, Tony discovered a mechanical problem in our ductwork that our furnace installer overlooked. Tony explained the problem and did a temporary fix and I called my furnace company and they agreed that Tony was correct in assessing the problem. Better Air went the extra mile and there was no extra charge. I will definitely call Better air back to clean the ductwork in my home. read more

Tanner, Kody and Vinny. Remember these names. Three young men who are incredibly polite and excellent workers. On day one we talked about the plan on what was to be done that day. They covered all our furniture in our bedroom where the entry to the crawlspace underneath the house is located in our closet. Even the bed was covered. When they were done that first day they removed everything and even vacuumed our rooms all the way to the front door to be sure not one trace of dirt was left behind. Day two, same. We talked about that days work and asked them to please take pictures so I could show my husband who had a major stroke years ago to let him know I did ok hiring this team.
