    Milk Tea (brown sugar)
    Ariadna S.

I've never had food here but I like their drinks so far. This time I had Brown Sugar Milk Tea with pearls and it came out quick (I ordered online) and was pretty well made. Although good, I would note that the drinks are a tad pricey at $7-ish for a small.

CoCo's has been one of the OG spots in that shopping center -- I've been going there since I moved to Austin 20 years ago! It's still one of my favorite places for Asian comfort food, and they make some of the best milk tea and taro smoothies with pearls in town. This isn't influencing my rating at all, but fun fact: I actually used to work there ages ago! I got to eat their food 3-4 times a week for lunch, and honestly, I never got tired of it. It was such a fun, startup-style workplace too -- especially getting to make all the drinks myself. My all-time favorite dish is the Peppercorn Chicken with rice -- it's always a hit (and you have to pair it with their jalapeño soy sauce ). In my opinion, they've nailed their milk tea -- perfect balance of tea and milk, and the pearls are just right: warm, sweet, and perfectly chewy. Other favorites my husband and I love: ground pork with rice, bacon pork with rice, eel steak with rice, chicken nuggets, spicy beef noodle soup, spiced eggs, rice balls, and shaved ice! All in all, we keep coming back -- some things just never get old!

Been going here for over a decade since my college days and the quality is always good. Can't go wrong with the fried tofu and peanut sauce and if you're a garlic love definitely get the peppercorn chicken. Service is friendly and the vibes are always chill. Go to drink: milk tea with boba

Overwhelming odor. Good restaurants don't have these.

Boba drinks are $6 each and somehow our total comes to $17.50 for 2 of them. Extra $3 each for boba is insane, that's just price gouging. Prices went up again after their renovation when it should have gone down instead. And the tea was very weak, and my taro coconut milk tea had no taro in it! Service was good, friendly and fast. They cook food there but you'd never know how delicious it smells because there's a nauseating "magic scent" pumping out way too much fragrance. Why does a high quality premium restaurant need to mask odors with such a strong fragrance? Get rid of the fragrance and let your restaurant smell like a RESTAURANT. No excuses for bad smells when you have a new renovation! Any time you walk into a restaurant and it doesn't smell like a restaurant RUN AWAY. They've always been good until now

My family's favorite shaved ice shop! The price is reasonable and you'll get to have a mountain sweets! you can pick the topping items so it's fun to make it together! Also I enjoy their complimentary delicious soup! Love their service! Keep up the good work! Cheers

We stopped by after hanging out in the plaza and I was so pleased to see that they had non caffeinated items on the drink menu since we wanted to hang out longer but still wanted to be able to sleep that night. I also love how the shaved ice is customizable! They have a bunch of different toppings options and you can really just make it how you like it! Sadly we had already eaten dinner, but I really want to try some of the food options! I've heard a lot of good things about the peppercorn dishes.

This Taiwanese street food is one of the small items store with drink and shave ice. This place very typical street food can be found in Taiwanese street vendors. We start with rice meat ball. The rice paste and sauce is delicious. They have house soup that very delicious. We also got the pork chop. This is typical Taiwanese pork chop coat with Pearl type coating. We also got the shaved ice. It comes with grass jelly and more. Love it. Overall is very good experience. Highly recommended.

I can't believe it took me so long to try Coco's Cafe. Coco's is a cute, little Taiwanese comfort food cafe that also makes tasty teas, milk teas, and other Asian beverages. I stopped in for a weekday lunch. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. They have a free, self-serve vegetable soup for dine-in customers. Quite frankly, I could eat a whole bowl of that soup and be happy. They also have some condiments for your food like soy sauce, jalapeno soy sauce, chili paste, green onion, cilantro, and more. I got the Steamed Vegetable Dumplings and the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. The dumplings were bigger than I expected and super tasty. The dough was soft and the side sauce matched perfectly. The noodle soup was absolutely wonderful. I didn't make a single flavor change to it. The noodles were thick and chewy and the broth was ginger-forward. The amount of beef in the soup was unreal too. I barely made a dent in the food before getting full and ended up taking a ton home for leftovers. I really can't wait to go back and try more items off of their menu.

Boba teas with choices of milk.... Regular, almond, banana, taro and coconut for a few but many more options. They also have shaved ice that you can add toppings to. Lots of topping choices, there's a small bar with options. They offer food, dessert and free soup for dine in customers. They have small cakes, macaroons and some little cakes that look like moon pies. Prices are read as well. Pomegranate pearls are tasty.

NO for us. We paid $38 for the Peppercorn Tofu with rice and Peppercorn Chicken with rice and the half order of green onion pancakes. Not worth it at all.... didn't even finish any dishes we got. We are from Houston and I am Taiwanese and this did not taste authentic at all. The dishes they offer are definitely Taiwanese dishes but the taste did not meet the bar for my husband (my husband is white) and me. Whatever they added on top of the chicken and tofu was super greasy/soggy. The chicken and tofu were fried but no flavor at all.. I was assuming that the chicken would taste like Taiwanese popcorn chicken... nope. The green onion pancakes.. we didn't even finish.. it was not good at all. Tasted like fried bread no onion scallion flavor at all. My husband said no crunch.. The picture I took was what we left the restaurant as.. one bite taken. Service was pretty fast and we came during dinner time. Ambiance of restaurant was cute too - like a cafe. Only reason they are getting 2 stars. The food was not up to par for us. We didn't get the chance to try their dessert - it seemed like maybe that's what people came here for?

I recently tried their black milk tea with boba. I ordered it in person and wasn't asked about any preferences (like ice level and sweetness level) so I assumed their drinks weren't very customizable, but looking at their online ordering system it seems that you can choose your ice level and sweetness level. They also have a wide selection of toppings (boba, popping boba, jelly, etc). One thing I'm sure you can't customize, at least with the milk tea, is the choice of milk. I believe they make their recipe with regular milk. My drink was on the sweeter side, so next time I'll make sure to specify I'd like it less sweet.

Authentic Taiwanese food ! I wish I could ordered everything on the menu, but I only have one belly. I love their beef noodle! Their food is my comfort food that reminds me of my home!

The mango flavor was cloying, and the "traditional" ice tea coconut was too strong. The price point seemed high for the quality. Maybe because our first true boba experience was at Teapioca in the Arboretum and that determined our pallet about bubble teas, but we just cannot find another place that we like as much as there. Ice and sugar levels can be adjusted. They take your card to pay on their side between a plexiglass screen and then will ask if you'd like to tip. I'm conflicted in these scenarios because it's a simple counter store with no actual service and the seating is from Ranch 99. At other boba spots, there'll be wifi and seating from the actual store but this is a simple window shop. Obviously tipping is "optional" but tipping culture has been blown out of proportion so I've accepted that a default tip is something to include on any purchase when eating out and this is worsened when they hold the iPad and stare at you. Classic Milk Tea w/ Boba - first of all, boba is one of the best in the area for sure. It's chewy with a strong flavor, so it's marinated well. Classic milk tea is a simple black milk tea leaning away from the tea. The balance definitely is in favor of the creamer used. While the tea itself was nothing to write home about, the boba was fantastic and the overall boba is well made.

It was SO good. I appreciated the large chunks of mango on top, in the middle and at the bottom of the dessert--sometimes restaurants cheat you out on fruit toppings. In addition to the sweetness and tang of the mango the condensed milk added a creaminess to it that balanced it all very well. The sweetness of the shaved ice was also surprising--almost like frozen milk. It was very refreshing. We loved it and the pricing was fair for how much goodness came from this dessert. We will definitely be back to try more of their dessert options!
