Menu as of 06.14.2025 - Menu displays various Asian cuisine items such as noodle soups, appetizers, and vegetable dishes. Items include spicy beef noodle soup, crispy chicken nuggets, pot stickers, steamed vegetable dumplings, fried tofu, and vegetable egg rolls. Prices range from $4.95 to $16.50, with some dishes featuring specific ingredients like pork, bamboo shoots, and peanut sauce. The menu is printed on a laminated sheet with images of each dish, set against a background that suggests a casual dining environment.

Rating: 3.8/5 [dine in] Took about 15 minutes to order and get our food, and another 15 minutes to eat. They give you a table number and have a whole setup to the right of the ordering counter with condiments, utensils, soup, water, etc. They offer complimentary vegetable soup if you order food and dine in. The soup was actually pretty good--great for sipping on between bites of fatty or fried food. Chicken Nuggets ($8.95): Crispy, Taiwanese-style fried chicken nuggets seasoned with salt, pepper, and fresh Thai basil, served with sweet chili sauce. Tasted pretty authentic, but the portion size was on the smaller side. The nuggets were a good size with a perfectly crispy coating and juicy chicken inside. They also gave a generous amount of fried Thai basil, which paired perfectly with the chicken. Bacon Pork with Rice ($15.95): Braised pork belly served with white rice, boiled eggs, steamed carrots and broccoli, and pickled veggies. Good portion overall. It was a cohesive dish, but just okay--we've had better braised pork belly elsewhere.

pork belly With Rice - A bowl contains white rice topped with braised pork belly covered in brown sauce and garnished with chopped green onions. Side items include steamed broccoli, pickled vegetables, and halved boiled eggs. The presentation suggests a Taiwanese or Asian-inspired meal.

Cocos what happened??? I giving two for the nice people, the station in the back and I had boba here like 4 years ago that I enjoyed so my hope is that it's still good ( it looks good so maybe i'd come back for boba only) The food LOOKED good but wow was I mistaken. I got the pork belly rice meal and it was quite possibly the worst thing I have eaten ever. The picture on the menu had the pork belly dry so I thought it was like marinated pork belly. When I got my dish, it was smothered in a very unappealing sauce. The pickled veggies were really sweet and look at that egg. You know that egg looks depressing. Eating this made me was to gag and throw up. I was really sad. For studying, there's not outlets anywhere I could see, so charge your devices if you want to study here.

Peppercorn Chicken w/ Rice - The image shows a black, oval-shaped plate with a serving of peppercorn chicken with rice, topped with black sesame seeds. Next to the rice is a portion of pickled cabbage with shredded carrots. The chicken is garnished with chopped green onions and red chili slices. The plate is placed on a wooden table, and the food presentation is simple and clean.

I've been to Coco's Cafe a handful of times and would recommend their rice dish with peppercorn chicken! It's located along the Drag, so is really convenient and close to UT campus. Service is fast - you order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. There's a good amount of seating and you can choose where you'd like to sit. Peppercorn Chicken with Rice ($13.95, 5/5) - This has become my go-to order! - Flavor is great with the minced garlic, green onions + onions, jalapeños, red chilis - Good portion sizes, I like that they provide rice and a side of their pickled vegetables along with the chicken In terms of drinks, I've tried their boba before and it was just okay (3/5). Tasted a bit powdery and costed around $7.50. Wouldn't recommend getting the boba here but their rice dishes are consistent and have good flavor!

We got the spicy beef noodle soup which came with an assortment of vegetables. It was pretty good and helped soothe my sore throat at the time. However, I think it was a bit expensive ($17) but it is very close to campus on guad. We also got a small honeydew smoothie with boba which was $8 (still pretty expensive for a small). You have to order at the front and they give you a number for your table of your choosing. The place is a little small and crowded but that's most places on campus. It's cute with indoor and outdoor seating. You also have to put your own dishes away in the back btw. Overall, it's a little expensive but really convenient for students.

Fried popcorn chicken with rice - The image shows a black plastic meal container with three compartments. One contains white rice, another has fried chicken topped with chopped green onions and sliced cucumbers, and the third holds cooked cabbage with shredded carrots. The container is placed on a countertop with a plastic bag and paper wrapping nearby, indicating a takeout or fast-food setting.

Friendly staff and great popcorn chicken. Not the best milk tea or smoothies. We came on a Friday night and were warmly greeted by the cashier. We ordered a popcorn chicken to go and it was delicious. Hot, fresh, crispy, and filled with flavor and lots of sliced fresh chilis. The rice and pickled veggies are as good as ever. I would likely not get their milk tea again because it tastes like it came from a mix. The strawberry banana smoothie was good but a little too much like a slush. If you are looking for a strong tea flavor, you will likely not be happy. However, if you want a standard milk tea that harkens back to the olden days of milk tea in the 90s, this is your go-

Back in town and was excited to revisit this place. Unfortunately it is not as wonderful as it was years ago. It's really killing me to write this low review. First, there was only a fan running and the air was very muggy in the place. We ordered an eel bowl, tofu appetizer and pickled veggies appetizer to go. To my surprise, it came out over $30. Over 25 minute wait. About 10 people got served after we put our order in. I had to ask if they maybe forgot to make my order. Maybe if you were only there to get boba, it would be an o-k experience. If you order food, make sure you have ample time and not in a rush, and be ready to wait in the heat.

Two cups of bubble tea from CoCo's Cafe are positioned on a wooden table near a window, with natural light illuminating the scene. One cup contains a white, creamy tea with tapioca pearls at the bottom, while the other has an orange-colored tea with visible fruit pieces and tapioca pearls. In the background, there are potted plants and a window showing an outdoor scene, creating a casual cafe setting.

A great spot for boba that's basically an Austin institution at this point considering how quickly things seem to come and go here. Coco's has always been reliably good and I hope they stay around for fifty more years. Or even a hundred.

Nice spot for some Taiwanese food. Shaved ice was the big hit for us. $6 for fresh ingredients and a large serving. What a bargain! The crispy chicken nuggets were also very nice. Pot stickers and kelp weren't too bad. The free soup was a great touch. Glad we stopped by.

Dining at Coco's Cafe felt like I was in college again. The humble Taiwanese joint serves iconic street food items, such as beef noodle soup and popcorn chicken, and of course boba. Inside, the place is enveloped in warm colors and nostalgic decor, like college merchandise if I remember correctly lol. There is ample seating too. My friends and I shared scallion pancakes and the popcorn chicken and rice. It was enough to satiate the appetite of three girls, granted we weren't that hungry to begin with. I appreciated the plentiful stir fried green onions and peppers on top of the chicken. It paired wonderfully with the plain white rice. However, I will say the skin on the chicken was a little chewier than I'd like it to be. Flavor was still great though. The scallion pancakes were decent. I haven't had too many to be honest, so I'm not sure how it compares to others. But I wasn't blown away by it. This is a great place to come for a late night talking session with friends. So homey and comforting.

So many memories are created here. Love coming back here when in Austin. Friendly and fast service. Great drink selections, and they are all very delicious (not too icy and watery). My favorite is Peppercorn Chicken with Rice. It's very crispy but not too oily, perfect with pickled vegetables. Yum!

    Strawberry slush

My friend and I came in on a Friday night to get dinner to go around 10 PM. We got a watermelon slushy, a peppercorn chicken with rice and ground pork with rice. The watermelon slushy had a nice flavor but was way too sweet especially with the lychee jelly that we also added to it. The peppercorn chicken had pretty good flavor and the pickled veggies it came with were very delicious. My friend really enjoyed it, The ground pork with rice on the other hand was very disappointing. The pork was so dry and did was way over powered by rice. The best part of the dish was the pickled veggies on top. I also tried to order a papaya milk but they never put my order in for the drink. All in all, an average meal.

The image shows the interior of a Taiwanese cafe with a counter area displaying digital menu boards above it. The seating area includes tables with black chairs along a yellow wall, which has additional menu screens. The floor is concrete, and there are a few customers seated at the tables. The decor includes small potted plants on the tables and a decorative clock on the wall. The overall setting is casual and modern, suitable for dining and social gatherings.

A great local eats right down the street from the AT&T convention center. My wife, a former UT grad was taking me to all the hot spots she went to when she was in college. CoCo's was the first dinner spot to drop by after settling down at the hotel. Look no further for a good taiwanese chicken nuggets and some scallion pancakes! The food was ready very quickly! I was surprised by the portion size of the green onion pie and the side of pickled veggies went very well with the chicken. Will definitely be back when I visit again!

    Vegetable Dumplings

Finally, someone who understands how to cook with an appropriate amount of garlic! The chefs at Coco's Cafe are doing it right, serving roughly an entire head of chopped garlic with every portion of salt and pepper tofu with rice. This Taiwanese cafe is a real gem here, especially given the lack of comparable options. Their pickled veggies are a crunchy, refreshing treat, too; more sweet than salty or tangy, perfect as a palate cleanser between pungent bites. Do not sleep on the vegetable dumplings either, which have chewy but not doughy skins, and are some of the best I've had nearby.

Milk tea and Gilmore girls - A hand is holding a large plastic cup of bubble tea from Coco's Cafe, with a green straw and tapioca pearls visible at the bottom. The background shows a wall-mounted TV displaying a scene with two people in conversation, and part of a bedroom with a bed and a small table is also visible.
