great service, love the people there, the owner and his wife are so friendly and caring.

The Meat Lover Banh Mi ($7.95) tasted like your typical Vietnamese sandwich but would have been better with pate. Still good enough to satisfy a craving. The Boneless Combo ($14.99) comes with a box of boneless chicken and a box of fries and is worth it. I chose the housemade special sauce but didn't really like it. The fries were okay too. I would still give it another try with a different flavor. The Galaxy Kumquat Fresh Fruit Tea ($6.50) with lychee jelly ($0.75) we got at half ice and 75% sweet which was perfect for the evening. On a hotter day I would go full ice. The lychee jelly paired really well with the fruit tea and made for a nice refreshing drink with dinner. The Ube Matcha Milk Tea ($7.25) with crystal boba ($0.75) I ordered with no ice since I was saving it for the next day and it was still pretty full. I did 75% sweet which was perfect for this drink. You can't choose your milk so I'm not sure what they use. By the time it was delivered the two layers were already mixed so it looked more like a straight ube milk tea, and I didn't really taste the matcha either. Still really delicious though and the crystal boba added a nice chewy texture. read more

Really enjoyed our visit to Austea! We were craving boba and stumbled upon this newer spot with a buy 2 get 1 free promo. It was very clean inside and the employees were kind and gave great recommendations. They had an extensive menu and had plenty of milk options which I appreciate appreciated. We ordered the taro coconut and matcha latte milk teas with boba. We ordered the passion fruit tea to try and it was my least favorite of the three. The matcha was soooo good and the taro was perfect. While waiting for our drink, we played the claw machine and won a plushie! We will definitely be back. Go support this new spot! read more

Came here for buba tea and it didn't disappoint. I had the Thai Brûlée and it was delicious. The place is super cute too, has a couple of posters to take pictures and the hall to the bathroom has pet pictures. They also have a plush toy vending machine that I saw 2 people win prices from. read more

We stopped by for a post-dinner sweet treat and had a great experience. It was a little over an hour before closing, so the shop wasn't too busy. I ordered the Taro Crème Brûlée and my husband had the Crème Brûlée Brown Sugar, both at regular sweetness with regular milk. My drink was creamy with custard and boba, and the taro flavor was strong in the best way. At other milk tea shops the taro can taste faint, but here it really stood out. I might try half sweetness next time, but overall it was delicious. They also offer plenty of snack and food options, which I'd love to try on another visit. Parking was easy when we went, although being next to Chick-fil-A could make it busier at peak times. The inside was clean, modern, and spacious with plenty of seating. I also liked that they have a rewards program where you can earn points toward a free drink. This is definitely a spot I'd come back to. read more

As someone who prefers fruit teas over milk teas, I enjoy the variety of selection here! They also have smoothies. Sugar level options is in quarter increments and ice is in half increments. I got the Galaxy Kumquat which the lady said was actually a lemonade and doesn't have tea in it. The purple part is plain in flavor so you need to give the drink a good shake. Prices are on par with other boba spots and the cup is tall. I'd be interested in trying their food options next time. Plenty of parking in the lot and it's a cute spot to hang with friends! read more

Customer service 10/10. Sweet lady who rang us up had the kindest vibe. My sister got the classic milk tea at 75% sweet. She said it was too sweet for her taste, but for me, I think it could've gone a little sweeter at 100%. I got the crème brûlée at 100% sweet. I think I could've gone with 75% or 50% for that one. Everybody's sweet tooth is different. Overall, the tapioca and drinks were good quality. read more

Honestly great service, food is tasty and the atmosphere is really nice! Their menu online only shows drinks, but they also have a lot of food options. The taiyaki is really yummy and fresh! I'll edit later when I get the boneless wings, fries, and Kong dog Edit: GET THESEEEE the seasoning is sooo good! The fries are crispy and seasoned really well, the kong dog was so good. The chicken may be my favorite part though. It's juicy and crunchy and so good read more

So they have a meal and drink combo going right now for $13!! You get any chicken entree, with fries and a drink of choice. What an amazing deal. I'd be here everyday if I didn't have adult responsibilities. The original chicken is crispy and seasoned to perfection. These fries are delicious and you already know, the drinks are phenomenal. They even have taiyaki on the menu now! Can't wait to come back and eat everything on the menu. read more

We're from the Dallas area coming in for a visit, so we have a bunch of the main boba spots. Austea is absolutely elite tier. The location is really nice. It's next to a bunch of other shops. Inside Austea is nice and cool which is great for these summer days. They were playing great music and the aesthetics here are great. They have wifi here, so you can get your study on, which is what some folks were doing. We got the two boneless combos with Special matcha Marble , tiger brulee, and Uji matcha. The flavor of the wings were Soy garlic and House made special. The wings were super good. Be warned that the house made special does have a little kick to it which is indicated by the small chili pepper. The drinks were absolutely top tier. Matcha is really good, and the creme brulee flavors just compliment it very well. The curly fries were really good, so make sure you get them. The chicken was all nice and tasty. It also didn't have an old oil taste which is great Overall, definitely would recommend Austea to all my boba lovers! Great for everyone! Service here was excellent read more

Austea has the good vibes and the good boba! I have been to Austea a few times, and something that sets this place apart from other boba shops is that they are designed for customers to come and hang out. There is plenty of seating, decorative art, and an inviting environment. The menu has a variety of milk tea and fruit tea options and they now include food options. I got peach green tea with mango popping boba- my go-to. I got regular sweetness and ice, making it the perfect balance of sweetness for my tea. They are fast, efficient, and provide quality drinks. The price is fair for the value, and the location is convenient as it is near a few restaurants. I highly recommend Austea! read more

Boba is nut allergy friendly, didn't even ask. After getting over my shock that there's no oolong tea option, I ordered a honeydew milk tea with boba, 25% sugar, less ice. Received my drink very quickly (6 minutes). The drink itself is very good, but was much sweeter than expected. I guess that's a function of using sweet honeydew. If I were to order again I'd go 0% sweetness. The tapioca was good in texture and size, but there wasn't enough of it. I was finished with all of the boba before even half of my drink was done. Overall, I'd come again but I do wish they had more boba. read more

Opted for the mango matcha latte because it was my go-to order in Japan and I had been craving it. 100% sweetness with half ice and tapioca - the boba was soft but chewy, was just right and I didn't find the drink to be overly sweet. The matcha was very subtle, could definitely taste more of the mango which is my preference. There is a sweet collage of an assortment of pets along the wall on the way to the bathroom. Staff was kind, the space was very open and clean, and the menu had a nice variety. Came here based on my brother's recommendation and will surely come back the next time I'm in Austin. read more

Hey good people, just snuck out with the ladies from work to grab a nice little refreshing healthy drink. I really did enjoy my avocado something drink. Forgot the actual name of it but there's only one avocado drink on the menu I believe. I added some Boba to my tea along with 25% level of sugar sweetener. That is just the right level for not too sweet and well-balanced, at least for me it was. Let me get into how creamy it was. At first, I was wondering what was taking so long to make the drink, but then I realized there was a lot of time that was taken to do the accurate measurements to get the fresh code smoothie not overbearing flavor of avocado with the creaminess of whatever else they put in the drink. Once you mix it up real good , you will see exactly what I mean. Now I will say that I was a little surprised at the price, but actually, I think the quality of the drink the demonstration of the display of the cup, the ability to like with these nice black straws that they provide, and the flavor was so consistent. Long story short I'll pay for it again. Outside of that folks, I did see I'm the menu. They had some nice eats, but because they looked mostly fried I didn't give it much energy because I got a watch my figure. Cousin, Go get your drink ! By the way, if you head towards the back of this location, you'll find the wall full of beautiful babies. (Doggies) read more

Stopped by Austea to try one of their drinks, before dinner at Cabo Bob's. I selected the strawberry matcha latte drink which is a fresh milk drink. I appreciate that you could choose the type of milk to used without a surcharge (oat, almond, whole). Maybe not the best choice for me, the matcha tasted kinda chalky. The taste didn't mix well with the strawberry and milk. I should plan to return and try their milk teas. They were really friendly and introduced me to their new fried chicken menu. They said they make it all fresh, and it is never frozen. I will have to return to try these The inside is very comfortable with lots of seating inside. I can see it as a place people can come to hang out with friends. This place is located in a plaza so there is plenty of parking in the shared lot. read more

I am always so excited to see a new boba shop pop up in Austin and I love that Austea joined our community. It is definitely filling a gap in an area with little to no bubble tea. I have always had a really pleasant experience from the service to the ambiance to the drinks! I think that they do a great job with milk tea drinks and there is a good balance between the tea taste and the syrup that they use. I've ordered Thai Green Tea, Taro Milk Tea, Lychee Green Tea, and Mangonada for myself and for my friends. I personally think that the Thai Green Tea and the Taro Milk Tea were pretty fire, I do think that the boba is a bit too chewy for my preference. I like the drinks at around 75% sugar and half ice and I think that's a good mix for their sweetness level. I love the staff here, they are always really friendly and the service is quick!! read more

Austea is a great addition to this area. As far as location this outlet can sometimes get very busy but there is always parking. Service is fast here, with our drinks coming out in less than 5 minutes every time. Most recently I came after a 5 mile walk and was very in the mood for a refreshing beverage. Austea satisfied that and I drank all of my 75% sweet thai tea in line at Cabo Bobs right next door. The tea itself was good, not too sweet and a nice typical red thai tea flavor. Boba was also a good size and quality. Personally the drinks seem a little small for my liking, even the larger size. The boba count also seems on the low end. I was particularly parched on this visit but I seem to empty my drink faster here than other boba tea places which I attribute to the shape/size of the cup. Inside is really nice though with some fun art and cool seating. Definitely a place you could sit down and either study, talk or hang out unlike some other beverage spots. I also noticed wings on the menu which I have yet to try but they looked promising so I will have to sample them at a later date. Overall, solid boba tea spot with a cool atmosphere and convenient location. Happy that is an option for me when I have that inevitable boba tea itch. read more

My coworker and myself were in the shopping center for lunch and I spotted this place and decided to try. I will say that it is worth the hassle of leaving the shopping center. I've been trying to try different boba places as well as different drinks and I am glad I did. The barista was very helpful and definitely understood the assignment. I stepped out of my comfort zone and got a Galaxy Kumquat with black tea. When the barista was originally helping me and asking him questions, I decided to add what he likes to add in his. He asked me if I like sweet (which I do) and added the rainbow & lychee jelly. He knew what he was doing, and I gave me kudos. I loved the all the murals on the wall and just the way it was decorated. They had a nice seating area but since we were on a lunch break, and it was a nightmare exiting the shopping center. Hopefully they will open more locations. read more

Very nice cups for the bubble tea, not the usual flimsy cups! Nice touch. We got their honeydew and the taro tea. The honeydew had a refreshing taste to it which was nicely complemented by the boba pearls. The taro had an interesting texture to it, slightly slimy, it seemed really thick. Again, the boba was a good addition to the taro and much needed! read more

I'm a bit of a bubble tea snob but love to try new places. The coconut milk tea with boba was excellent. A bit of the roasted coconut taste and just the right consistency of boba. My wife got to brown sugar milk tea with boba which was a bit too sugary/milkshake like for her taste but is how it's supposed to taste. Only negatives are it's a little pricier than many places and the location isn't the most convenient. If it was closer I'd get it more often. read more

The staff was patient while we figured out what to order (new to boba). The original was really good and the corn dogs were great as well.

Yall Austea is the real deal. This is some fire boba, the barista was super friendly, the decor is really cute (they even have a wall of dog pictures). I have no bad things to say. They have lots of caffeine free and dairy free options! Brown sugar boba with oat milk: this was so good. I ordered it at the lowest sugar level and it was perfect. It even comes with special instructions to drink it without mixing first and then stir it exactly 9 times. The pearls were perfect. This may be my new favorite boba shop in Austin. This is our go-to boba place! This is a fantastic boba shop especially in South Austin where there are only mediocre and low-end boba options. They have a super clean and cute store with a beautiful mural of Austin, lots of minimalist design elements and plants, and a big clear menu. One of my favorite things about this boba shop is the variety of flavors from honey dew milk tea to creme brulee milk tea to taro slushee to coffee with boba - they really do have every flavor I would want. Of course with customizable sugar and ice levels as well. I've tried all the above and they have all been fantastic, my favorite being taro milk tea. The boba itself is pretty soft and doesn't have that hard inner bit that a lot of places have. Parking is easy and in a huge lot which is one of the great benefits of being in South Austin. Service is quick and super nice. read more

As a bubble tea lover, I had to try Austea out. This is probably my new favorite boba spot in Austin. The drinks here are really tasty! I got the Special Matcha Marble drink. Unlike other blended matcha drinks I've had before, the cream inside this drink made this drink both sweet and creamy. Taro is one of my favorite flavors when it comes to boba drinks so of course I also had to get the Taro Marble drink. The cream inside the drink also added a sweet and cream flavor that tasted good with the sweet taste of blended taro. Lastly I got a classic milk tea. Some places make their basic milk teas a little bland or with a slightly stronger herbal taste. But, the classic milk tea here was just right. Just the right amount of sweetness and milky taste without being overpowering. The decor inside the shop is pretty cool too. I'm so glad that South Austin now has a yummy boba spot. I definitely want to come back and try the other drinks on the menu! read more
