    Mango Tea
    Lisa H.

AMAZING PLACE! REFRESHING DRINK! We were dying in the heat while walking to a thrift store nearby. Luckily this place was nearby. Firstly, the worker was very nice & provided us with free water with ice. Small place but definitely worth it. No parking tho.. I parked near the Blanton as I was coming from there earlier lol. Mango tea was amazing!! I'm in love with

Taro Milk tea (50% sugar), watermelon slushie(100%), Thai green tea (100% sugar)

Tap house is one of my favorite boba study spaces near UT Austin! They are open till 11PM and they have a lot of seating with cute fairy lights! The Taro Milk tea is super creamy. There's a taste of jasmine in the Thai tea, and I thought their 100% sweetness was perfect. The watermelon slushie was refreshing and also not too sweet! The owners are super nice and welcoming, and I'll definitely be back to try their food options!

This place got new ownership Oct 2021, so the quality went up a lot! The price went up as well, but it was nice to support our local Tap House. The combo plates were okay. The grilled chicken was better than the pork, since the pork was a bit tough. The noodle dishes were not bad, but were mainly noodle. Service is slow since there was only two people there to cook and take orders. The snacks were solid. Crispy tofu was crispy and really soft, and you get a lot. Veggie dumplings were crispy and delicious, but you only get 6. The fried carrots were surprisingly tasty. The fried chicken and fishballs were good too but didn't stand out. I'd come back for the snacks!

chicken fried rice and sweet green tea!

Great place to grind out your OS lab and eat some good food :) any combo meal comes with a free tea, but you can also add on a boba or a flavored tea for a couple more bucks

order- honey jasmine milk tea with boba Tapioca House does indeed have the best boba drink in town. The honey jasmine milk tea is sweet and I can taste the jasmine I can tell why this is one of the most popular flavors. Also, obviously I had to get my boba in a lightbulb for the whole experience. 10/10. Love the presentation. It matched my jacket hehe ‍

If I had written this review years ago I'd probably give it 4 stars. I like the large variety of things they offer (however a detractor is they are always out of one thing or another...) I usually go for the pork with bamboo shoots combo but today I have to say it wasn't as good as I remembered and my friend felt the same way about his pork chop with rice. I do love their lavender milk tea. 5 stars for that. Out of their snacks I've had the calamari, fish cake and squid balls and chicken nuggets. All delicious.

My daughter and I discovered the Tapioca House last summer. It's located on The Drag, across from the UT campus. It's a "blink and you'll miss it" small space. The walls inside are cheerfully painted with cute cat characters drinking boba. The times we went were all around 9pm therefore, there were not many other customers there. The dining area was clean and orderly, as was the bathroom. The employees were friendly and very helpful. My daughter loved the milk tea she ordered, and I enjoyed the mango classic iced tea. Prices are reasonable. It's one of our favorite boba spots in Austin!

I went specifically for a Bubble Milk Tea, went inside and there were a variety of flavors so I decided on picking the Blueberry Milk Tea. 10/10 was satisfied with my drink overall everything is great would definitely come back again. Service was overall excellent very helpful staff and didn't even have to wait came out less than a minute very fast spectacular service.

Just meh.. want to try the French vanilla but it wasn't available. A great amount of boba and not over powering. Reasonable prices.

    Beef lo mein

If I wanted a plate of vegetables, I would've ordered one. I ordered Beef Lo Mein and this is what was given to me. It was 90% vegetables, barely any noodles or beef. The food was also super oily & extremely salty. Not worth $15 whatsoever.

It looked like they expanded their menu since the last time we ate here. We opted for a Shoyu Beef Ramen Soup and a Hot Pot Beef Noodle Soup. We grabbed our water cups and a carafe filled with iced water from their beverage fridge, and chose our table to sit at. We chose a location away from the front entrance, which faces west towards the sun. Our food was quickly brought out to us less than 5 minutes later, and our soups were very good. They have a very spicy broth for their Hot Pot Noodle Soup, which P2 really enjoyed. I was also happy with my shoyu ramen, which I thought was seasoned perfectly. The music here wasn't loud and it was easy to carry a conversation. The interior aesthetics of this place reminded me of a Japanese restaurant, despite this restaurant servicing Taiwanese fare. Unfortunately, they don't sell alcohol here. I would have loved to drink a beer here with its solid vibes. I took off a star because of the blinding sunlight that pours into the space. Each time we came, we had to be strategic on where we sat so that we or our friends didn't have to face the sun. But other than that, Noodly Alley continues to be a reliable choice for authentic Taiwanese food.

Let's talk about this beautiful egg! No idea how it's made but it has the most unique flavor. Normally I can pick out an herb or flavor, nope not at all. Has the most distinctive taste and so very pretty too when it arrives! All of our mains were so delicious! I had the dumplings myself but did try a bit of everyone's meals and they were all perfectly flavored. If you are wanting to have everyone's Neal come at the same time, not here. There were water, bowls, utensils, and sauces in the lobby for anyone to grab, which was nice. We ordered their cucumber salad, beef noodle soup, and lamb noodle soup. Cucumber salad was 2/5. It wasn't the authentic smashed cucumber salad, the flavor was missing something, and I mean, for $7 or $8, you would think it would be amazing....it's not. Pretty disappointing, I'd much rather have my sister's over these. Beef noodle soup was meh. Nothing special. Broth was very simple, like they just added salt and that's it. Meat was cooked very well. My soup came with 1 piece of lettuce, weird.. Lamb noodle soup was the same as the beef noodle soup; it did come with the black fungus, seaweed, tofu, and some vermicelli clear noodles, along with their handmade noodles. Made sense why it was only $13.95 for the noodle soups. It's reasonably priced probably due to not being authentic, though, I wouldn't pay more than $10. They had handmade noodles, which many people do like. However, their noodles were very bland, along with their soup. I didn't find anything special here either. Maybe I'll get their dumplings or fried noodles the next time we come, but it's a no for me.
