Tea Cup Boba House feels like one of those small neighborhood spots that instantly improves your mood the second you walk in. The space itself is definitely on the smaller side with only a few tables, but the ambiance is thoughtfully designed in a way that somehow makes the whole place feel cheerful, cozy, and welcoming instead of cramped. I ordered what I believe was a taro milk tea with almond milk and extra boba, lightly sweetened. The drink came out smooth, creamy, and balanced without becoming overly sugary. The boba had the right texture too - soft and chewy without turning mushy. You can tell they actually care about the drinks instead of just assembling them as fast as possible. The cashier was genuinely funny and friendly, which honestly adds more to a quick stop like this than people realize. Service was fast, parking was easy, and the menu had plenty of options without feeling overwhelming. This isn't really a "hang out for 4 hours and study" kind of boba place because the seating is limited, but for a quick stop, grab-and-go drink, or casual catch-up, it works really well. The surrounding area is still developing so there aren't crazy views or anything, but during sunrise or sunset the light coming through the windows actually gives the place a pretty nice vibe. Small shop, good energy, solid drinks, easy parking. I'll definitely be back. read more

Such a cute place to get milk tea BOBA! I was deciding between two places and it's seems that this one is a winner in all areas of service, quality and quickness! I went with a classic Ube milk tea although the passion fruit green tea looked really good! They have a lot of fun toppings to choose from. The most tempting was the lychee jelly!! My order arrived quickly and the lady working the counter was so warm and chatty. I will definitely be back! This place is small, but the do have a little play area for kids. It is located right on riverside across the street from Rosita tacos, which is another favorite of mine! read more

I really enjoyed the boba milk tea here. It was just slightly sweet, very smooth, and pleasant to drink, I finished it with real enjoyment. The boba itself was great too, nice texture and good flavor. My order was prepared very quickly, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, the place feels nice, and most importantly, the drinks are genuinely good. I'd definitely come back for another one read more

I recently spotted the Tea Cup Boba House when picking up some food nearby and knew I had to try it. They have a scale at the register you can reference for how sweet you want the drink. I ordered my taro milk tea with boba at 75%, which is the suggested, but I think next time I'll go with 50% because it was still a little too sweet for me. Otherwise, the drink flavor and boba were really good. The employee was kind too. Definitely check out this boba spot! read more

We've been here a couple of times now and have enjoyed each visit. I go with my almost 10 year old son. He always enjoys the cookies and cream with boba, and I've tried the taro milk tea with boba, and the taro coconut milk tea with boba. The recommended 75% sugar is perfect not intensely sweet but not too plain. We are always impressed with the speed of service as it's usually only one person working. My son always says, "I'm still amazed how one man can be faster than 5 at that other place we've been to." We usually pick up to go but have enjoyed our drinks there as well. The place is so nice and picture friendly with boba themed signs on each wall. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. read more

I stopped into Tea Cup Boba House about 30 minutes before closing, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. The employee working was super friendly and welcoming, even that close to closing time. I ordered the Jasmine Green Milk Tea and my sister got the Thai Iced Tea which both were absolutely delicious. The boba was perfect: firm with the right amount of chew, not mushy or overly hard. My Jasmine Green Milk Tea (half sweet, less ice) was balanced perfectly. You can really taste the jasmine and it has that distinct floral flavor that stands out in the best way. The Thai Milk Tea was also amazing, rich and flavorful without being overpowering. Overall, great drinks, great service, and great quality even right before closing. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to! read more

This is a clean and minimal boba place in a small area with easy parking. When we stopped by, there wasn't anybody in, so we tried the coconut taro milk tea with boba and the black milk tea with boba. The boba was some of the best-textured boba that I've had. The coconut was powerful in the taro milk tea (the taro could have been more pronounced) but it was a delicious drink nonetheless. The bobarista put in the perfect amount of light ice as requested and the drinks were the perfect sweetness at 50% for my taste. If I'm in the area I'd stop by again for a little boba milk tea treat. read more

Tea Cup Boba House - inside - Bubble Tea Near Me - Austin, Texas

If you live in Southeast Austin, you already know as soon as a new business enters the ring, you're hoping it'll be something worthwhile. As far as bubble teas go, there aren't many that's 1) below the river 2) actually really good 3) not a chain. I'm big on supporting local, small businesses, so when I found out there would be a bubble teashop less than 10 mins away from my house, I anxiously waited. It's been three weeks since this business has opened and I can proudly testify, ADD THIS ONE TO YOUR LIST! Tea Cup Boba House is owned by a sweet and shy Cambodian couple who work the front and currently have no other employees. If it gets busy, be patient! Tea Cup Boba House offers a variety of teas and unique sinkers to the southeast Austin area. If you aren't a tea fan, it may not be your cup of tea (lol). However, for me, it's what I enjoyed the most. I love how strong the teas are! The cream to tea ratio is perfectly balanced, and if you add on the bobas, they add a nice touch to the drink. The bobas are tender and lightly sweetened. The decor here is clean with a modern bohemian touch, however, there isn't much seating. Definitely order and take away. read more

An absolute gem with a great location. It's always great when Southeast residents can get food without having to cross the highway. I'll be honest, though, that usually comes with some compromise. That is not the case here. This is a top-notch Boba spot with a super-friendly staff and reasonable prices. Would come here again and will recommend to anyone even remotely curious about Boba. Boba not your thing? Go for the teas, slushes, or smoothies. Let them earn your business - you won't be disappointed! read more

I've been here half a dozen times in the past month or so. It's fantastic every time. I didn't actually like tapioca boba pearls before until I tried them here. Now I look forward to getting them as often as possible. Theyre softer and sweeter and more pleasant than a lot of other local boba shops. Other shops have more flavor options but I'll choose here every time. There seems to be just one guy working here alone and he's polite and fast. I love that they're open till 9pm! Highly recommend. read more

I'm so glad to have a boba place in my area! It's a small boba cafe in the corner of a plaza (the Mexican restaurant next door is worth checking out too), but the interior is cute and the workers were very nice. The drinks were a little pricey, it was a little above $14 for two drinks with one topping each, but the quality of the drinks were good and didn't taste syrupy or overly sweet at 25% which is usually my biggest peeve of most boba places. I really liked the passion fruit tea I ordered. This will be my new go to boba place and I hope this area continues to open new eats. read more

Best boba here!!! I was super cautious when I saw "TeaCup" open because the location didn't scream "great boba", BUT I WAS WRONG! This is probably one of the best boba spots in Austin. The boba was the perfect amount of sweet and chewy! I got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea at 25% sweetness and it was PERFECT. The flavors were spot on. The service was great! The cashier was so kind and patient as I ordered. The inside of the store was inviting, they even had board games for us to play as we waited. I had my first drink from them on Saturday and it takes so much willpower not to turn back into the plaza and grab another drink. I'm so glad there is FINALLY some good boba down south. I'm 1000% coming back! read more

Kudos to the owners for offering Oat Milk as an option as I avoid dairy and don't like the taste of almond milk in coffee and tea drinks. Confession time: I haven't actually tried this place yet but I can tell that first reviewer is as discriminating as I am, so I'm sure it's good! I'm also thrilled to have these guys south of the river & to support a local business! My birthday is next week so I was looking on Yelp to see if Chicha San Chen had oat milk before I drove all the way up there on my bday--they don't! lo and behold I discovered a new indie boba place right up the street--well happy bday to me! Ha! I don't know if I can wait til next week though! I will update after my visit. Welcome to the neighborhood! read more
