I ordered take out from here and it was very delicious! I've heard great things for a while but hadn't had the chance to check it out until today. I ordered the chili dumplings, soup dumplings, and cucumber salad. It was all amazing like I said. I am excited to come back and have it in person.

Beef special, shrimp paste, fish, tofu skin, tomato broth, spicy flavor broth (medium) with teddy bear
Yushi N.

The waiter asked me what soup base I wanted and I said, "Teddy bear **uwu eyes**." They told me that is not a soup base. It's an add-on. Now u kno. Anyway, Coco is probably the best hotpot place in Columbus. I love the selection they offer; they have some of my favorite ingredients, including ye ol' reliable beef, but also tofu skin, enoki mushroom, fish, and SHRIMP PASTE!!! The broths + teddy bears also taste very good and I don't even usually like hot pot broths very much. Service is efficient (ty for putting up with my limited Mandarin), food presentation is pretty, and the interior is clean and spacious. The main downside is that eating at Coco's does unfortunately get Quite pricey :/ But I think worth it if you want nice hotpot in Columbus!

Fall is here and get yourself ready for the Hot Pot season. As a Hot Pot lover, I am here to sum up the Hot Pot options here in Columbus for you. Either you are first timer or a regular, I hope this would help you navigate around the local Hot Pot spot. Here come Coco Hot Pot out at Bethel Road. I had been here awhile back for their regular menu, but haven't try their Hot Pot before. If it is your first time, you can rest assure as their Hot Pot menu is filled with picture and listed out the step for you to order. They offer both option for mini pot and big pot. If you are with a big group, I highly recommend to pick the big pot and you can choose up to 4 different broth. Moving into the food, you can select from their combo option or create your own. Other than the typical Hot Pot option, they also have some special offering such as shrimp paste and handmade pork or beef cilantro ball. Once you order the food, time to go mix up a bowl of dipping sauce. Their sauce bar option is fairly extensive. If you looking for some inspiration, they also have a list of recommended sauce mixes for you if you not sure where to start. Look out at the left corner of the sauce bar, a little pot of taro sago dessert is hidden there. If you are looking for an extensive selection from the food to sauces, Coco Hot Pot maybe the fit for you. Outside from their Hot Pot menu, they offer a full set of Chinese dish menu along with bubble tea as well.

Great food and service, ALWAYS! I'd recommend this place to anyone, the food is always fresh and the portions are huge!

Cucumber salad

Several people went out to eat and most were happy with their food and service. I ordered the Kung Pao Tofu and expected it to be hot and spicy. It was sweet but the hot peppers that came with it were spicy. However, I couldn't really break up the hot peppers to eat with my sweet tofu since all I had were chopsticks and a fork so I just ate the tofu. My husband's House Tofu was OK but he liked it. The spring rolls were OK - they were deep fried with no particular great taste. Someone else ordered the Spicy Cucumber Salad and it was delicious - sweet and spicy and perfect. Others ordered the hot pot and were satisfied. I'd go back but just not order either of those two tofu dishes again. Servings were very generous.

I simply enjoy going to Coco' grill for my Sichuan food cravings ever since HongKong house off of Henderson road shut down in COVID. Their Ala carte menu is huge with several vegetarian and gluten free options. They have great hotpot as well which I highly recommend. The portions are great and taste is always consistent. I usually go with my usually favorites Poached fish in Chili oil Twice cooked fish or spicy fried fish fillet Diced chicken Cauliflower dry pot They serve bubble teas as well so definitely checks all my boxes for one stop shop Definitely try them out if you love spicy food as much I do!!

One of our #614Favoritebites !!!!! Your palette will thank you * not one bite hits the same ! Don't be afraid to experiment. You'll have fun creating your own unique dipping sauces from the sauce bar . The service has been great every time we've been. Super chill restaurant space; great for large groups or just your enjoyment .

Hot pot with chicken, mushroom, and spicy, broths. Sliced beef in the background with veggies to the right and the paste combo on the left.

This place has got to be the best hot pot spot I've tried and this includes Chinatown in Chicago. The waitstaff are attentive and helpful in explaining the menu and it's options. We ordered the 3 broth option with spicy, mushroom, and chicken broths. We also ordered the sliced beef that came with veggies, the ball combo, and paste combo. My favorites were the fish balls with fish eggs inside and the beef paste, but it was all super yummy! All the pastes are homemade and are kinda like meatballs. Don't sleep on the sauces, either! I would recommend making a least a couple from the recipes listed.

I loved it here. The atmosphere, the concept and the food. I've now been here twice and I look forward to my next excuse to go. This can be best described as Chinese fondue and it's spicy if you decide it to be! You can choose proteins, veggies and starches individually or as a platter. They have a "sauce & dessert" bar for $1 extra--never gotten the dessert but love to mix up sauces for my meat and veggie dippers. Service was fantastic as the visited our table regularly to make sure our broth was going well and replenishing anything we might need to enjoy. Definitely a fun idea for a first date for those who are culinary-adventurous!

A delicious and fun dining experience!! We loved creating our own sauce blends for the deliciousness coming out of the broth. We had 3 broths. Spicy Thai was our favorite. Delicious. We had chicken, beef and prawns. Check this place out! It's really great

Beef and lamb!
Brianne T.

Went to an early dinner around 4:30pm, and we were seated immediately. It was lively but not too loud. It was my first time here, and I went with my fiancé and a friend of ours. We got a split broth (chicken and spicy thai). If you're sensitive to spice, be mindful of the spicy thai! We ended up mixing the two broths to make it less spicy but still very flavorful. We got some beef and lamb, udon, ramen noodles, and a variety of veggies! My favorite was definitely the udon noodles. They also have a bar to make your own sauce. I loved the garlic and sesame oil - went AMAZING with the lamb! The only note that I have is the sauce station was a little messy, so I'd ask your server for separate items if you have an allergy! We'll definitely be back to try out some boba and the other broths!

If you've ever thought, "Man, I miss the days when dishes had names and not just 'deconstructed concepts,'" this place is your new home base. Appetizer - Coquille St. James Sea scallops, sauce, mashed potatoes... basically a fancy seafood shepherd's pie that your nostalgic inner child will absolutely high-five you for ordering. Rich, creamy, comforting -- it's like a culinary hug from a decade with better music. Waldorf Salad Phenomenal. Flavorful. The kind of salad that reminds you why this dish used to be the Beyoncé of dinner parties. Fresh Catch - Haddock No picture, but you can tell this fish was fresh. Like, "probably had weekend plans before it met the kitchen" fresh. Decor Dated. Dark. And somehow awesome. Imagine the set of a 70s maritime movie, but everyone's actually having a good time. Atmosphere They open at 4 PM and there's a line -- because apparently everyone else also loves time travel. I was probably one of the youngest people there, which is a strange but empowering feeling. Like being the rookie on a team of seasoned pros. The staff? Super friendly. Pro tip: the bar fills up FAST. Olympic speed. If you want a bar seat, you need reflexes. Also heard the dining room runs warm -- so if you run hot, maybe bring a tiny fan or pretend you're on a tropical cruise. Final Verdict: Windward Passage is a retro gem with hearty food, friendly vibes, and the kind of throwback charm that makes you grin. I'm absolutely putting this into rotation with friends for bar hangs, drinks, and really good food.

Baking macarons is a tricky thing and Damaris did such a good job breaking down all the steps. She gave us lots of tips and tricks for our home baking, and you can see her passion for what she does. That said, I have been to several of the cooking schools in Columbus and this was my least favorite overall attendee experience. It was more expensive, yet very "basic" for lack of a better word. All of the cooking classes I have attended come with some kind of amenities - a welcome cocktail, wine bar, cheese and crackers, hot coffee/tea, etc. Something. This class was three hours long and there was nothing offered but water and iced tea (on a 20 degree day). We also did not receive any kind of information prior to the class, so parking was like solving a mystery (hint: the parking lot is behind the house down a side alleyway)

So first off I want to say I am glad my husband purchased me this gift. In theory cooking with tea…read moresounded like the coolest thing ever and it was a very thoughtful gift, but the actual experience was a bit lackluster. The Seasoned Farmhouse is a beautiful space, but the cooking class was just okay. I unfortunately didn't learn any new skills and the main reason for this review being so low is because my husband and I got food poisoning at the event. I felt sick as soon as I ate the food and didn't feel better until 24 hours later. I have lots of thoughts on why this happened, that I will explain later. Class + Recipes: The recipes we tried were good. It was a class all about learning how to cook with tea. We made Shaoxing Wine Tea-Poached Chicken with Scallion Oil, Sweet Tea-Brined Roast Chicken, Salad Greens with Golden Raisin Vinaigrette, Tea-Poached Eggs, Black Tea Poppy Seed Muffins, Earl Grey Tea Cake with Chopped Chocolate and Tea-Infused Cream Cheese Frosting and Roasted Yukon Potato Wedges with Aioli Sauce. The food tasted good and I appreciated the amount of thought that Chef Cindy Ramsey put into creating them. However, I was severely disappointed with the set-up of the class. I've been to 6 cooking classes at other locations and always was assigned to a specific station where each participant would make each dish and learn new cooking skills. This class was set-up where we were given a 20 minute lecture and then told to wash our hands and disperse to focus on different aspects of the meal. For instance I mixed the aioli sauce, iced the cake and teared lettuce leaves. Though we were told to wash our hands, we didn't wear gloves and this is what I believe caused my husband and I to get sick. Cons: Lack of cleanliness. During the demonstrations sometimes the chef would touch raw ingredients like eggs and chicken and would then touch other ingredients that would not be cooked. This leads to cross contamination and should have been avoided on the chefs behalf. In addition, because 10 different people peeled eggs, and various people touched ingredient components that would not be cooked I believe this also may be the cause of getting sick. As a science nerd let me share that we all have a different skin microbiome. Sometimes people carry more of one bacteria on their skin than others. Also depending on the length and cleanliness of finger nails, this also could cause unwanted bacteria on food that was prepared without being cooked. If these bacteria get into the ingredients, some people can get ill from them. Net: PLEASE HAVE ALL PARTICIPANTS WEAR GLOVES WHEN PREPARING FOOD, ESPECIALLY ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE COOKED. I feel like the price of the class was not cheap and hopefully could cover the cost of gloves in the future. Based on this experience, I would not come here again and do not recommend it to someone who is looking for a more traditional style cooking class.

Pretty loud and hard to hear, but that vibe is OK for a boil place to me. Only waited about 15 minutes. Two adults, two elementary kids. I like Lees of all the boil places because they have good options for non seafood people too. Both kids found wings, chicken fettuccini, etc. Started with the hushpuppies, about 12 smallish sized but a perfect starter for 4 people. Came with ketchup, I wish they would do a remoulade option. My wife and I split the duo (snow crab, shrimp) and I decided to add a LB of blue crab. Medium homemade juice sauce (always....it's sooo damn good). Snow crab was really good this time, snappy not bendy like some places. knuckles sweet and not overly briny. Perfectly cooked and came apart and out easily. Shrimp were just a tad overcooked but not much. Potatoes were perfect. We sub +1 tater for the egg. Corn is never good at these places. :) gotta do those fresh not frozen to get it right. The blue crab had good flavor. However, crazy overcooked which made getting meat out damn near impossible. Stringy instead of in chunks and stuck totally to the shell. I mostly gave up. My biggest complaint is they have ZERO typical utensils. No crackers/pickers/hammers/etc. I managed to cut myself trying to get into a snow crab large claw, and the lack of pickers made the blue crab impossible to eat. I'm bringing my own next time....serious. Finished with the fried oreos which were a perfect finish to the meal. 6 oreos for $6 was a great price.

Tiny, carryout only, though there are a couple of tables to sit while you wait or maybe to eat a quick lunch. Super friendly staff. Fairly short menu; all the good stuff. They fried up the okra right then, though, and had a steady stream of pickup orders coming through the door, so it still took 10-15 minutes. It was okay, though, smelling the amazing scents coming from the kitchen, talking to the staff and customers. I hadn't noticed they have ribs (just a picture, not on the menu) so I might've ordered those. Oh well. $20 I think, or they do combos with sides or fish and sides. Anyway. I got fried okra, and it was a big portion and absolutely amazing. No need for any sauces, tasty on its own. Perfectly crisp. Baked beans: my style, sauce so thick you can eat them with a fork. Slightly sweet, mostly savory, very good. Greens (collards) with turkey: outstanding. Tender but not floppy, nicely seasoned. Cornbread: soft, sweet, crumbly, topped with butter. Yum. Geechee rice: seasoned, bacon and sausage, very good. And black-eyed pea salad. I like black-eyed peas but had never had them in a salad. These were great: plump, with bits of tomato and cucumber and onion, in a vinegary dressing. Again, yum. Enough food for two meals. They gave me the side plate special, three sides and cornbread, which helped with the price. I was headed home and not thirsty so I didn't get a drink, but based on conversations with other customers I missed out on the lemonade and sweet tea. There is literally no where to stand while you wait for your table...and wait we did. We were shown to our table at 6:10. The hostess told us they had a party of 30 and party of 40, so we tried to be understanding but also-they accepted the reservations-so kind of on them. Our server had an attitude from the moment she approached our table. She was waiting on one of the parties, but still... We were sitting in the back room and it was LOUD. Like couldn't hear other people at our own table loud. We had an older person in our party and when we asked our server to come to the other side of the table so he could hear her, she didn't-so she ended up misunderstanding and bringing him the wrong drink. There was a guy who we *think* may have been a manager hanging around, but he never did a table touch, so hard to tell. We had questions because gluten free food is offered but not marked on the menu or online, it said ask your server. She was annoyed but we have allergies so...I will say they have really good gluten free options; however when we reconfirmed that she had gotten the gluten free bun she was annoyed again. The only reason I gave 2 stars (the one redeeming quality) was the food. It was all excellent and cooked perfectly. The server didn't come back to check how things tasted-but someone in our party flagged her down to get lemon wedges for her seafood pasta. The waitress literally rolled her eyes, grabbed lemons wedges from the bar and brought them in a cup that she slammed down and walked away without a word. We ordered dessert because we were there to celebrate a birthday. Before dessert came, our server cashed us all out. This is what put me over the edge: WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING she slammed down a reserved sign. When we started standing up, she picked it up. Most restaurants allow for 90 minutes for reservations to turn a table. We were only at the table for 70, so we totally weren't lingering. I might give this place another try because the food was so good, but because of this experience, I'd definitely think twice.
