Changing my current view of the location. They have a frequent buyer app that provides good discounts now . Getting a quality drink at a reasonable price is great and very appreciated in this economy. Have been going at least twice a week now. Recommend people get the app and order from there to get the discounts and the quality drinks with good boba!
My son loves this place. Must be good since he is really picky and won't share with me lol. There's always a line here so it's best to try this place on a weekday. Highly recommend the strawberry smoothie.
Easy to order on the tablet. Got my usual milk tea half sweet. Drink was good. And made fast even though they were busy. A little pricey but I added an additional topping. Parking is no fun here but lots to walk around and shop at, once you are in.
I like the boba portions here. Milk tea is ok. Order from Kiosk. Place is busy during weekends but drinks come out quick.
Pretty decent boba spot! It's definitely a bit cookie-cutter, but it gets the job done when you need a quick boba fix. In my honest opinion, nothing here is going to blow you away, but it's reliable. I do appreciate that it's on the first floor and not crammed in with all the other food options--nice to always be close to a boba source!
It is a small corner boba store. The whole service took about 30min to order and receive drinks. Ordered a passion fruit green tea which was phenomenal. Also got Milk tea with salt cream (not pictured). We asked for 70% sweetness on the milk tea and when we tried it, it had no sugar. We told the worker and they were more than willing to remake our drink. Service like this makes me want to return!
Our go to place for boba and fruity drinks. There was a line about 30min wait from line to getting our drinks. We ordered three of their drinks: Chunky Mango Slush, 30% sweet - great drink for the hot weather! Super refreshing and the perfect sweetness for us. The mango chunks were super tasty and sweet and didn't taste artificial at all. Tropical Special, 30% sweet - a bit on the sweet side, but still a very tasty and refreshing drink. The tea flavor was great, boba was ever so slightly too hard, but not bad. Mango Pomelo Sago Smoothie, 30% sweet - A+ rating! exactly what we wanted from this drink. Well blended and perfect balance of all the flavors. Only thing is that it is a bit too sweet even though we got 30% sweetness. Service was alright. Not very attentive in noticing customers waiting to pick up their order. But I also understand they're really busy. We were also a bit disappointed the drinks came in a hot drink container instead of the transparent containers, so it didn't look like the advertised drinks. Overall, drinks are tasty!
Quality has gone downhill now. We used to like this place but not any more. They are doing the "non dairy creamer bullcrap" just like Sharetea, if you want real cow milk you have to pay extra $.80. They are officially milking. WT? Terrible taste! Undercooked boba. Smaller size. Did not like it at all. Do not recommend. Will not return.
Pearl Milk Tea Judgment: B+ tea is present and available to mix with cream to produce that milky, almost nutty texture and flavor (like a slightly more sugary pmt at Happy Lemon with the aftertaste reined in a lil) it's a good mix and I can't exactly distinguish the tea perfectly but it's there like Jae is in 노력해볼께 live ver. on the last acapella part (not the main event and not even the 2nd most noticeable voice since imo Wonpil and Young K are def the most easily distinguishable out of the 5 but something would be very off and missing if Jae was not there in the mix) not much else to say except that it's just a good time and honestly a good gauge of what I would call a solid pmt that's easy to drink on the sweeter side but I appreciate it solid pearls filled to the top :) clean cup $6.29 + $0.23 kiosk fee 3/24/25 ngl the rating is a lil shocking for me since my memory of Coco is bitterness from the Cupertino location long ago and maybe I experienced a fluke of a perfect storm of conditions which is ironic considering a quote that used to be on their website (see below) I originally wrote this review a long time ago when I started writing out my thoughts so the format and wording is a lil more raw and stream of consciousness but my feelings about my experience stayed the same this time around the quote: "A successful brand came from the insistence on the perfection of every handcrafted beverage, not by fluke, nor by luck." - Chairman Tommy Hung
Definitely a hit or miss place. I've gotten a couple fruit drinks here before and it was pretty good. The milk tea, however, is meh. I did not like their toppings at all. CoCo is known for being the most affordable (aka cheapest) place to get boba and tea drinks in Taiwan. In fact, I used to get it pretty often when I visited as a student, so I was excited to hear it's opening here. Their pricing point is kind of a bummer, but it is to be expected. They need to survive in Valley Fair, and I'm sure the rent is not cheap. The line does get pretty long, so order ahead if you can. They have partnership with various apps, and a couple of them do offer discounts - that's one of the main reason why I'm keeping it at 3 stars.
This boba place is in the 1st floor, right outside of Macy's Beauty. Milk tea here never disappoint, and they make your order quick. Only a few table inside, but you can seat outside around the mall. We got a few brown sugar boba, milk tea with on cloud, all so delicious, can't stop coming here whenever I'm at valley fair
This place exceeds my expectations for the coco brand. They offer much more variety - non caffeine, seasonal etc. The flavor also came just right on. There's plenty of seats there and it's a good half point stop in the giant mall. The staff was very handy and quick in preparing drinks. You can also order on apps and I see a lot of remote order and pick up. In general this feels like a busy street side place just like in China! With good vibes and environment!
I got the large Passionfruit green tea 50% sweetness and less ice. It is pretty refreshing and my order came out very quickly. Has a subtle green tea taste but the Passionfruit flavor isn't too strong either. I happened to walk by and see that they were having a special for some drinks at $2.99 each which was a good deal.
Friends from Canada LOVE this place. It's a bit far for me, and there's so many other good boba places to go to in my area that it took me a while to try. The drink I got was decent, but it's nothing I would crave or think is unique. (For example, I think boba guys and tiger sugar are more unique boba places, and I specifically crave their drinks.) They have a lot of Yakult drinks; one of my friends got one and it was actually pretty darn good. Then again, I think T4 sells a decent Yakut drink as well? Currently out of mango flavor, which my friend said was the best, so I couldn't try that. No lines when I went. Would go to Coco again when shopping at VF. read more

Not the same as the ones in Taiwan. CoCo was a staple back in the day, but coming overseas didn't translate well. While its Taiwanese stores are Feng Cha quality, this location is more comparable to Kung Fu Tea... This CoCo is in the first floor of Valleyfair, right on the corner near Macy's and Skechers. For COVID safety purposes, social distancing is enforced, all staff wear masks, and the store capacity has been limited. Service is relatively quick. MANGO YAKULT (50% sweet, light ice, w/lychee jelly): Tastes oddly similar to canned pineapple juice, for whatever reason. A little too syrupy-sweet, even with reduced sugar. TARO SAGO (70% sweet, light ice, w/boba): No real taro whatsoever. At least the powder was mixed well? If you're not into the chunky, starchy, natural taro drinks, and prefer the artificially sweet, smooth taro flavor, this is probably up your alley. Boba and sago are fine, but IMO the drink is 3/10. Surprisingly bad, given that eateries in Valleyfair are usually better than your run-of-the-mill "mall food". AND, the drinks were $12 total... If I'm paying $6/drink, I'd really prefer natural ingredients over powder and syrup. In Valleyfair alone, there's already 4+ boba stops (but also, why?)-- I'd rather walk a few steps further and find a better deal. read more

My go to order is the #4 Strawberry Black Tea on Cloud (add boba). Total price is $7.38. Definitely very pricy compared to other places I've gone, but I also don't mind paying a little bit extra for unique flavors/combinations. This is definitely a splurge bubble tea and some place I would take my family (versus coming on my own because they would pay for me haha). read more

Happy to see Coco at Valleyfair. I've tried the Coco at the Santa Anita mall in Arcadia. This location definitely looks more hip and clean. I think at the Santa Anita location, the milk tea with 3 toppings (boba, grass jelly, and pudding) is called "3 ladies", but here, it's "3 guys". There's also a choice for a milk tea with only two toppings (boba & pudding), which is "2 ladies". Very interesting name choices!!! I ordered the 2 ladies and was pleasantly surprised by the price - $4.50 for a medium sized drink with two toppings in NorCal? No way. The milk tea tastes like a black milk tea. I wish the pudding was thicker because I could barely taste it. By the time I finished the drink, all the pudding was left at the bottom. As for the boba, it's more of a harder and chewier texture. Not bad, but definitely different from what I normally like. I enjoyed the balance of the toppings and the milk tea. The milkiness of the drink didn't overpower the tea aroma, so yay for that. My friend got the taro milk tea with sago and it was a very light and refreshing drink. Unexpectedly light for a milky drink! I wish that it had more of a taro taste though, because it kinda tasted watered down. The sago was really good! Overall, I think Coco's is a typical boba place, nothing out of the ordinary or special, but good enough to get your boba fix while on your shopping adventures :) read more
The line was out the door and it was about a ten minute wait. There was indoor seating but not much. The floor was dirty and sticky. I ordered the medium Pearl Chocolate for $5.00. I'm pretty disappointed in the drink I got. It basically just tasted like chocolate milk. The tapioca balls were nice and plump. read more

It's very difficult to find boba places that have size options nowadays. Coco has medium or large - I love my milk teas but I can never finish the standard "large" that most places serves. I ordered a medium #1 pearl milk tea - 50% ice and 70% sweetness. I have to say, this place nailed my order! Not only was the amount of ice and sweetness perfect but the boba's texture had the perfect chewiness to it too. The only downside is that Coco is located inside the mall.. I would be a regular if it was more of a quick and convenient order & pickup location. Nonetheless, one of the better boba places I have tried. read more

I was so excited to see they were opening a CoCo fresh near me! The first time I CoCo was back in Taiwan, then the second time was in SF. Environment: Small area at a corner in the mall, which they have some walk way space incase it gets packed. There are some seating in the area and they have spacious counters that doesn't feel clutter, which makes it easy to grab and go. Staffs: Super friendly and patient. Everytime I pass this Boba Shop, not a long wait which is nice. I ordered their Taro Milk Tea with Grass Jelly 50% for my mom. She loved it. I also order a 2 Ladies which is regular milk tea with pudding and pearls. Sad they don't offer mini pearls, but they're still good and chewy. I got their second lowest sweet level, which was still alittle bit sweet, so next time I will try 50% sweet. read more
We've passed this place plenty of times and decided to finally try it. Ordered the Taro Milk tea with sago and 3 Guys since the brown sugar was sold out for the day. Of the two drinks, I enjoyed the Taro milk tea and the sago was different from what I'm used to, but a good different. Overall it's good and the prices are fair for the amount you get. I'd recommend the taro milk tea with sago for any taro milk tea fan. Next time I'll try the mango slush. read more

Noticed this milk tea shop whenever we come from the Macy's entrance and finally had the chance to try it out. There's a menu in the front since only one person is allowed in the store. We ordered: - Green Tea on Cloud - Matcha on Cloud - Sago Mango Green Tea There are many options to choose from such as: Milk Tea, Cloud, Fresh Tea, Fruit, and Fresh Milk. We ended up getting two Clouds and one Fresh Tea. Between the two, the Sago Mango Green Tea was the best. We weren't sure on how to drink the Cloud drinks since it reminded us of cheese foam. After trying it both ways, I recommend mixing everything together. The Green Tea on Cloud was eh whereas the Matcha on Cloud was better. I like my drinks pretty sweet but could've reduced the sweetness. Overall, this place was alright. Maybe I'll try the Mango Yakult next time? But I heard it gives off a syrupy taste so we'll see. read more
I was such a happy camper when I heard that CoCo was opening up in the South Bay. Little to no boba shops here sell sago, so my cravings for it were FINALLY quenched. My go-to is the 2 Ladies. This time I got the Sago Milk Tea and it was pretty creamy, but the tea taste was not very strong. It was still enjoyable, but the sago was very much the best part of the drink. -Mango Yakult [no toppings] ($6.25) on a hot day, this drink would be perfect as it's really refreshing. after taking a couple of sips i definitely wish i had added boba for texture. the drink itself is slightly sweetened, kind of tart, and something id order again but with boba. this particular drink is also just one size! read more

Another new boba place in the mall! But is it good? Compared to the other boba places at Valley Fair, this one imo is the best. Sharetea is too bland, rabbit & lucky tea are too sweet. I ordered the passion fruit green tea with pearls. They have different variations of this drink but I wanted to try something simple. The employee was very helpful and seemed knowledgeable about how sweet the drink would be at different levels of ice and sugar. The drink was just to my liking. The boba was sweet with honey, and cute too because of how much smaller it is compared to regular pearls. However, if they added passion fruit seeds like at other places, it would've been even better. I'm used to drinking passion fruit tea a little more tangy so out of all the places in San Jose, Tea Lyfe still has the best one. I'll order it again, but next time I'll try out another drink! read more

A part of the wide range of Asian storefronts within the Valley Fair Mall I had to stop by CoCo's because it was my friend's favorite boba stop back in Taiwan. The drink I ordered did not disappoint but was a pricey $7 for the same drink that was $2 in Taiwan. Capitalism! I really liked the sago topping (very qq mini boba) though and would recommend the Yakult drinks if you want something lighter than milk tea! A staple boba place but pretty steep price. read more

Came here yesterday with a friend to try a new boba place! Came here I was surprised it was not as busy as I thought it was for a Friday. The ambiance of the the restaurant gave a small coffee shop vibes. There's limited seating, but there's plenty of seating near the store. We ordered off the kiosk and I got the Pearl Milk Tea while my friend got the Tropical Special. I really enjoyed my milk tea and the tropical special was pretty decent too! Our orders were prepared in a decent time and the price of the boba is what you would expect from other boba places! read more

Pros - very clean and bright interior - easy to read menu - fast service - love how clear their recycling and trash system is - I got regular pear milk tea with 30% sugar and it was perfect! Not too sweet and not too bland! - they offer various toppings (they even have pictures in case you don't know what they are) - located inside a mall so it's the perfect drink shop to sip and shop! Cons - the price of these drinks are a little ridiculous...up to $6! But they sure are tasty! So I'd definitely come here occasionally, just not often since it would destroy my wallet read more

i hate this place it sucks. DO NOT GO HERE. i got 11 pearls in my $6 drink. if i am paying for boba there should be way more boba. i asked an employee if it was the normal amount and she said yes. so basically they scam people every day. the tea is watery and looks nothing like the pictures. go somewhere else in the mall there are other places. 0 STARS 0 STARS 0 STARS read more

We passed this on the way to DTF and we knew we had to go back! They are correct that sago isn't the easiest to find and low and behold it is here. Only thing that I could say is possibly have the description of the menu items in English as well. I felt bothersome asking the staff what was in everything. Would stop back in here again! read more
Uh this place is not it sis. a hit or miss type of milktea place. Just walk down the hall and get Sharetea. Here's what I ordered: Jasmine milk tea with 70% level sweetness which gave them the great idea to add HELLSA milk. This drink was so milky and creamy that I literally drinking cow. Obviously I did not finish the drink. Sago (tiny pearls) Taro milk tea. Okay this one was actually good and worth the money. It wasn't powdery and was well mixed yaay! (Better than tastea's taro drink) Passion fruit & mango slush. One of the four drinks that don't have caffeine. It's a good drink for kids! Strawberry black tea (regretfully without cloud). I suggest you ordering with "cloud" bc this was plain sugar water and squeezed strawberry. It's a disappointing drink but it had a decent amount of sweetness. So if you really like only strawberry and no milk, it's the drink for you The service was meh but mainly because the person taking my orders couldn't hear me and vise versa. The line was long and not socially distanced. I wish they had a designated area where we could pick up the drinks near the door. Just an overall hassle. read more

I got mine and after the first sip I swear I was drinking a Yakult with water. After a few more sips the flavor was more and more Yakult and nothing, but not pure Yakult. It was as if they was the container holding Yakult and pour the rinse water into my cup and served it to me. After about the 5th sip I couldn't do it anymore, diarrhea was about to come out. read more
Decent boba for a decent price. They were a little busy when we ordered, but the drinks came out pretty quickly. Not sure why, but my boyfriend got the Chocolate Milk Tea with boba. I had low expectations for a chocolate-flavored milk tea, but it was pretty good! Usually boba places use syrup or something that makes the chocolate flavor not that strong, but it was really chocolate-y. It tasted like they used like hot cocoa powder or even maybe Milo/Ovaltine. The boba itself was nice and chewy, and nicely sweetened. read more

I love this spot! Never heard of Coco until it opened near where I work in the mall. The baristas are always nice and extremely fast! The first time I went, they took the time to answer any questions I had too. I've been waiting to find a great jasmine milk tea that isn't over powered by milk, but also creamy enough still. Finally tried the jasmine here today' & it's lovely ! Boba is very good too, great texture & the perfect amount of sweetness/flavor! I've tried the mango Yakut drink before too, super refreshing! Their flavor teas are nice too. Thank you Coco for your service, despite being in a mall. Sometimes mall boba spots are hit or miss, but this one has been solid for me! We appreciate your urgency in making our drinks too lol. read more
We stopped at the mall to get our kiddos a fix to get their craving of Boba tea take care off. The kids tried jasmine brown sugar Pearl Milk tea and caramel milk tea with Double Boba. Both of them were really really tasty and the kids loved them a lot. I'm sure we will come here again to get Boba drinks. read more

It's been so long since I walked through Valley Fair and my friends and I spotted a boba place we never tried so why not? the store was very clean and the line forms in literal seconds. One moment we were the first customers and in another there were 5 groups behind us my friend and I got the 2 Ladies and the 3 Guys which is essentially the same drink with different toppings we both agreed that it was a solid milk tea (8/10) and enjoyed the toppings aside from the boba the boba wasn't super soft and chewy but the other toppings definitely made up for it!! read more

Drinks are okay. But they should know once the edge on the cup get wet, it couldn't be sealed completely. With a big order of multiple drinks, this could make a mess pretty bad. Once I see the drink leak, I firgured out it's not sealed read more

Decent boba spot! Really clean and organized inside. There's also a bigger table for bigger groups if you go more down the store! Prices are regular, a little bit pricier but not too much. I definitely recommend trying it out if you're at valley fair ! read more
