My favorite boba shop in the bay! If you're a coffee lover you don't want to miss this. I moved from SoCal where mocha (my go to boba was commonly an option in almost every boba shop i went to) ever since moving to the Bay Area it hasn't been easy finding a Mocha based boba drink, most shops just offer tea based bobas. Then I found Lucky Tea! Where they blend delicious coffee drinks that taste similar if not better than some of my favorite mocha drinks. Recently I tried their Lucky Vietnamese Frappuccino and that really stood out the me. So yummy and the honey boba is a must! Service has been pretty fast they have multiple ordering tablets. We were parked at this wing and upon walking in, VF is insanely busy. I have not been here in years. We just had a delicious lunch but h really needed a cold drink! Lucky Teas right there. You order on tablet, and wait to be called. Your order is then made by the workers and then your order/name is called when it's ready. I had a jasmine tea with cream, $8.50 with a tip. Overall ok. Nothing special. I guess I'm underwhelmed and the price is making it as much. Is it because I'm at the mall. Clean stand with 2 workers that I can see. The tea was ok. KEEP WALKING. If you're thinking about getting a drink here, don't do it. There's a reason this place never has a line, and unfortunately, it's because it's not good. I got the rose green tea, less sweet, with aloe vera. My "Not-So-Lucky Tea" had rose petals in it, but it tasted like pieces of paper, and overall it tasted awful. The tea itself was bad, the aloe vera wasn't fresh, and drinking what tasted like bits of paper in my drink was honestly just disgusting. Yuck! There are so many better boba options at Valley Fair. So I was at this drink shop, right? The storefront has this fenced platform around it. After I ordered, I was just leaning against the railing--kind of half-sitting, half-leaning. Right when my drink was almost done, the employee suddenly points at the fence and says to me, 'Would you mind to get out?' I mean, are you freaking kidding me? That is honestly so incredibly rude and disrespectful. Using 'get out' to a paying customer is completely out of line and offensive. read more

Ordered on a Wednesday evening and there was no line. The employee mentioned that it would be easier to look at the menu using the tablet. We ordered one of the limeade teas with lychee jelly and the coffee creama. The limeade tea was good, but it felt like it had less tea because of what's inside. I used to like this location because when I worked at the office building located at the end of the Santana Row, I liked to stretch my legs during lunch hours by walking all the way from Santana Row, acrossed the street and to this tea shop in Valley Fair. It's located in Valley Fair mall so the ambiance is very... mall-like xD Drinks: 2/5 Thai tea milk tea - Flavor of Thai tea was there but it tasted really watered down. Plus, the drink lacked any creaminess to it so it was a disappointing drink. Fruit tea - Again, super watered down so the overall taste was lacking. I love a place that's able to provide me with good wintermelon (green) tea! Ordering system is pretty efficient since there are self-ordering tablets to use OR a person to help you if you don't want to socialize. I was a bit mislead on how they showcase 2 sizes but only provide 1 with most of their orders. It's great in a sense that you're getting more! But not great for me if I intend to order for my little ones. What I didn't like was that I felt I got skimped out on the scoop of toppings for my drink. Usually, it's about an inch at most places and covers most of the bottom layer of the cup, but with the 2 drinks I ordered, I felt it wasn't worth paying the extra .75 cents for toppings that could be sucked up in 3 sips, so it was imbalanced for me. read more

Tried it the first time and my drink was ok. Ordered a four season fruity drink (fruits and green tea) without ice and sugar. It was still too sweet for my taste. Green milk tea tasted bitter with regular sugar. Located next to mall entrance and the shop has constant flow of traffic. Friendly and courteous service. Will still give them a try. read more

Love stopping by here to get bubble tea if I'm at the mall. They have a strong tea flavor base which I always enjoy. My go to here is the Sun Moon Lake Black Milk Tea. The standard 50% sweet is good for me when I include boba. If I get it without, I'd up the sweetness a bit. There's options for a self serve kiosk or you can order at the front. They also keep togo bags and drink holders on the side for you to do it yourself too which is nice. read more

This Lucky Tea is located inside Westfield Valley Fair. They are one of the many boba shops in the mall. This mall is very busy, especially on the weeknights and weekends, so parking may be hit or miss. There are parking garages and lots around the mall - garage parking is free for the first 2 hours, then you have to pay. I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba. The taste of the milk tea is just slightly better than my last visit a few years ago, but it still hurt my stomach after drinking it. The milk tea was super creamy and a bit on the sweeter side with a lack of tea taste to it. read more

I've been a patron for years now. And only recently I realized I always gravitate toward this place everytime I need a good refreshing tea. I've probably bought over 100+ drinks here lifetime. There are far better places for milk tea, but no one in the bay area come close to lucky tea for fresh fruity or fragrant tea. Don't order anything else here, get the fruit tea: either sun & moon or four season. Some other fruity tea like the wintermelon or soursop are also good. Order them with less ice and 25% sugar and you can thank me later. If you want a good milk tea or a strong oolong, don't come here. This is not the place for it. read more

Got the brown sugar milk tea and it was pretty tasty. i got reg sweetness and reg boba and coffee jelly and it was pretty good. there was hardly a wait so i def think it was worth it. prices are also pretty cheap for how much you get for either a regular or a large drink. read more

still my top boba spot for valley fair mall. there are so many points of ordering, and their staff is fast. the sun moon lake tea is dark and has a lovely aroma. the jasmine green is perfectly floral. their boba quality varies. sometimes it's overcooked, and at other times it's a bit too chewy. they have a variety of products, like salted cheese topping and fruit slushes, as well. overall, it's just the most consistent in the whole mall, which is a desirable trait. i don't think there's a bad drink on the menu. read more

Got a drink here after on the way out after a day of shopping at the mall. We ordered on a kiosk at the side and the drinks came out quickly. Got the super fruity tea and it had good tea flavor but the turn off was the "fresh fruit" they used that were clearly not fresh. The mango chunks were super dark and rotten looking so that ruined the drink for me. But the orange and lime slices seemed decent once I opened them up. Not much service since we ordered on a kiosk and they called out the name. Would get different drinks that don't rely on fruit to avoid the risk of rotten fruit in your drink. read more

Malls in California never cease to amaze me with their variety of food options, and Westfield Valley Fair was no exception. I wandered by Lucky Tea and figured I'd give it a shot. You order at one of a few kiosks -- there weren't options to adjust sugar or ice. I forgot to mix it at first (which was a little disastrous) but once I did, it wasn't too sweet! I was in the mall and was so thirsty, so I pulled up Yelp to see what my options are when it comes to hydration. I was going to get Pink Pink, but their service was not good and they didn't have what I wanted, so I decided to try out lucky tea. And I'm glad I did. I tried the lychee Jasmin green tea with 25% sugar level, it was still a bit too sweet for me but bearable. And as the ice melts , it starts to taste better. I can definitely taste lychee, Jasmin and green tea. I also didn't have to wait too long for it. That's also a plus in my book. Should have checked reviews although not sure how there are 5 stars. Got Earl Grey milk Tea with boba. Tea was nasty, had some hint of earl Grey but there was some strong other smell that tasted more like chemical. Boba was ok, nothing notable but not bad. Had few sips and just couldn't do it anymore and threw it away. Probably not the best use of your $ so save it for other places. Maybe 0 person in line should have been an indicator and I should have gone with anything else nearby rather than this. Such waste of my money and my taste palate. read more

Solid tea, but really poor pearl-to-tea ratio. I ordered on the kiosk so there was very little interaction with staff. My milk black tea was great -- fragrant and well-rounded without any bitterness. The 50% sweetness level was also perfect! My main gripe was that the scoop of boba was pretty skimpy so I ran out less than halfway into my drink. read more

We ordered the strawberry limeade and wintermelon tea and were both pleasantly surprised. The limeade was a nice change from the usual lemonade at other places and had a good mixture of sweetness and tart. You can never go wrong with wintermelon tea in my opinion, perfectly balanced and refreshing. The girl taking our order was also welcoming and quick to make our drinks. I don't drink boba anymore since I'm super sensitive to caffeine but this drink wasn't too sweet at all. It was delicious and refreshing! I tried a pricier one (the premium strawberry), and found it to be quite good, but not $20 good. Plus, some aspects seem designed more for pictures than for eating. The little cheesecake slice is a bit hard because it's cold and difficult to eat with the shaved ice. That said, their bingsoo does taste good! The fruit tasted fresh and sweet, and the portion was enough for me to share with my partner. I wish the condensed milk was provided on the side instead of already poured on top, but I didn't mind the amount they gave. I may not be back immediately in the future, but I wouldn't mind visiting again. I would probably stick to the lower-priced options myself, though. I recently visited Lucky Tea: a milk tea place located inside Valley Fair Mall, offering fast and convenient service to customers. However, their drink menu may be limited in terms of variations, and there are no options for hot or warm drinks. Despite this, the prices for their drinks are on the high side, with only two sizes available. The ordering process is made easier by a self-ordering machine, but there is no seating place for customers to enjoy their drinks. On the bright side, there is a large selection of toppings available. I ordered the Winter Melon Milk Tea with egg pudding and cheese crema, and was pleasantly surprised by the strong tea flavor. Despite requesting 25% sugar, the drink was still sweet, but not too sweet to overpower the tea flavor. The winter melon flavor was prominent, and the egg pudding and cheese crema added a creamy texture to the drink. The cheese crema was not too overpowering, and complemented the tea flavor well. Overall, I would rate my experience at Lucky Tea as satisfactory. While the limited drink menu and lack of hot/warm options may be a downside, the fast service and ample toppings options make up for it. The high prices may be a turn-off for some customers, but the quality of the drinks is worth it. A few weeks ago I stopped by on a Monday morning around 11:00 am ish, the girl with glasses and short hair had the worst attitude ever. I asked her simple questions because it was my first time here, but she was visibly annoyed. I came by again last Tuesday night to give it another try and again with the same employee. When it first happened i thought she was having a bad day but then it also happened again on my second visit. This time when i was approaching the counter, she was hunched over the register on her phone. I asked a few questions about some drinks, and again, she seemed unhappy and irritated. Sadly this ruined my experience, so I won't be coming back. On the bright side, the four seasons milk tea here tastes great, and also their oolong fruity tea. Came by around 10:30/11:00, the worker were just on her phone. The girl with glasses was hunched over the counter on her phone sipping her drink. I wasn't even greeted or even looked at when i walked in. I ordered with the guy in the front and after he took my order he also made my drink, while the girl was still just hunched over at the toppings area using her phone. Not sure if she is manager or smt but someone needs to train her again. Besides that the oolong milk tea was great. Very strong tea flavor and perfect sweetness. I ordered the rose tea and it wasn't good at all. It tasted super sweet and had a weird taste. It also took forever for the staff to make this drink. My order was skipped 5 times! It's like they never made the drink before (they were running in and out of the back room for some reason). I will come back to try their jasmine green tea to see how it compares to Gong Cha but the rose tea is definitely a no for me. I dumped the rest of the drink into the sink. The cup is cool though, I like that it's reusable so I plan on using it as a water bottle at some point. read more

It tasted exactly as described, with both the lychee and jasmine flavors coming through nicely, and it wasn't overly sweet. However, I'm not sure the combination worked for me personally, and there was a bit too much lychee jelly for my liking. 4/5 Service was fast and efficient. Despite a small crowd ahead of me, I got my drink in under 5 minutes, which was impressive. Overall, a convenient grab-and-go option with quick service, but I'd probably try a different drink next time.

We don't really like too sweet drinks, so 25% sweetness was perfect. The staff was friendly and offered to help if we had any questions. Given the time we went, the parking lot was full but we were able to quickly find parking. We'll definitely be back!

I don't even want to imagine how their kitchen area is upkept if they can barely manage their public space. Drinks: My partner and I ordered the white peach boba milk tea and the tiger milk tea. It's really nothing special and it befuddles me that there is high praise for the quality of their drinks. The tea flavour is not strong, nor is the boba made with quality in mind as it was hard in the center. I'm under the assumption that their fruit teas are front-loaded with artificial syrups since that's what the white peach resembled. Price: To compromise quality, the price point is the selling factor. Boba priced around $5-$7 is a rarity these days, but this shop does it. Just know that you're paying for lesser quality in your order. Customer Service: Wow, that needs work. The other review was not kidding about their employees and how they communicate. Customer interactions can heavily change the view of the store and will make/break the experience. With this already broken experience being topped by their employee "communication," I'm surprised they have returning customers. There are a plethora of better boba shops in the same area. I reckon you opt for those if you value strong tea flavour, better customer service, and---most importantly---a store that values cleanliness.

Son got, Honey Jasmine Green Tea and I really like the flavor to this one. Got or drinks and we wereon our way.
