I ordered the Mongolian Beef with fried rice. The Mongolian Beef was truly terrible. Someone in back of the counter really went to town adding chili flakes to the dish. The fried rice was greasy. The skimpy meat was so fiery hot that I could only eat one bite. My spouse, who craves spicy food, and I mean craves, couldn't eat the Mongolian Beef either. So into the garbage it went. I also ordered the Crab Rangoon. At least they tasted okay, even though they were Mojave-desert dry. The orange chicken was disgusting. The chicken had no orange flavor whatsoever and seemed more like clumps of fried flour. My nephew's perspective was that if City Wok paid its workers a decent wage, they would turn out better food. I understand that expectations for food at any airport should be managed accordingly but the Mongolian Beef dish I got here was one of the worst fast food style Chinese dishes I've ever had especially considering that I paid around $18 just for the entree. In almost every airport I've visited there is a Chinese option similar to Panda Express or Manchu Wok that provides a reasonable priced combo with rice or noodles that is paired with a selection of entrees that includes some fried, vegetable, saucy, grilled, etc. items. City wok has a limited menu by comparison and while costing a similar price for a 3 item combo for just a single entree there, doesn't come close to tasting as good or providing the same quality of meat or vegetables. I was highly disappointed by the chicken teriyaki I tried, as it wasn't grilled well at all and the sauce that accompanied the dish was quite watery (and the vegetables were quite overcooked as well). We went to City Pho that is their sister location right next door. I got the vegetable pho with veggie broth. We wanted spring rolls but were told they did not have any so got the egg rolls.
