January 2026, my experience: just know before you go that you will have to wait- if you're in a hurry to catch a flight, don't eat here unless you grab a pre-made roll to go. I ordered quite a bit for myself because this was my lunch/dinner for the day: To drink, I had a 6oz. glass of Pinot noir. For an appetizer, I had the edamame. For my main dish, I had the New Style Salmon Sashimi and a cucumber avocado roll. For me, this wasn't too much food because the salmon was served without rice and in a light sauce, which is why I also ordered the veggie roll for a little more substance. Overall, as far as airport sushi goes, this was pretty decent and I would come here again. The salmon was a little fishy, which was disappointing. I love salmon, I eat it quite often, and I usually don't find it fishy if it's quality salmon. The service took long. The sign outside the restaurant says "seat yourself", so I sat down at a table for two and no one greeted me for more than 10 minutes. I was confused if I was supposed to order at the bar or wait for a server because I didn't see any servers around. Needless to say, someone eventually came around. Came by for some sushi the other day and it was a mediocre experience. Mizu is located by the B gates at DEN. Grabbed a spicy tuna roll and it was mediocre. The roll was probably made hours prior and didn't taste super fresh. The highlight was that checkout was easy as there was a self-checkout kiosk that took credit cards, provided a receipt and also had paper bags and utensils to grab next to the checkout. Looking at the ingredients, it looked like it would taste delicious. But it was surprisingly bland, like the flavors cancelled each other out. A bit disappointing for $19. It was super busy while we were there, but the service was so incredibly efficient. Got my food and check in a reasonable time, and I was never worried about not making it to my flight. She was pleasant. However got upset with the person next to me. I just had a glass of wine at this sushi bar while on a layover recently. I was lucky to get a seat at the bar right away, but the space is a little bit small for seating. I think it's fairly new and I was interested in the menu, especially being a lover of sushi. If I had a bit more time and was more hungry, I would have ordered food. I'm not scared of airport sushi!! I tried their rainbow roll and would definitely try their other rolls. Some of the tables weren't clean even though they were vacant. Would be nice to have non disposable if you're at a sit down. The rainbow roll came with 8 rolls, one soy sauce packet, 1-2 slices of ginger and a dab of wasabi. That would be the airport size. But you can get more soy sauce packets if you want: unlimited soy sauce packets, minimal ginger slices. Bring your own ginger slices if you're a ginger lover like me lol. Located at the end of the B terminal you'll find this concession of Mizu Izakaya. I got spicy salmon over rice. The salmon was very fresh tasting and the sushi rice was seasoned well. They had lots of rolls as well and many you can pick up to go to bring on your flight. I also got espresso martini to was fine my food. I was looking forward to a bowl of ramen during a long wait before my next connecting flight, but was extremely turned off by the service. The gentleman manning the to-go counter said it was free-seating and that the server would find me when I was ready to order, which was fine by me. As I was walking around the restaurant to find a quiet spot at the back (knowing that I would be here for a while, and did not wish to occupy "prime" seats up front), the female server, Kalliseah, YELLED from across the restaurant that "THE BACK IS FULL". I didn't even know she was speaking to me at first as my back was turned, so my first sight of her was literally yelling at my back. When I pointed out the empty tables at the back, she shouted back "THOSE ARE DIRTY, WHY DO YOU WANT TO SIT AT DIRTY TABLES?". I wasn't even aware that the tables were dirty, I could not see the alleged dirt from the spot that she began yelling at me at. I said I was happy to wait and went back to the front, assuming I would be called when the seats out back were ready. I was up at the front when she came out in a huff again and gestured loudly at the tables up front - "THERE ARE SO MANY EMPTY TABLES, WHY DONT YOU SIT HERE?". Mind you, this all unfolded in front of the entire restaurant, with all the other seated customers staring and watching it unfold. I didn't mean to upset anyone, all I wanted was a quieter seat at the back, and was happy to wait for it to be cleaned, so I didn't understand why I was yelled at like that across different areas of the restaurant. :( I understand the service industry can be extremely stressful, but what Kalliseah did was so mean and uncalled for that I left. A suggestion in the future for Kalliseah would be to, in addition to not aggressively yelling at and/or making prospective customers feel small, to perhaps check in with them if they had a preferred seat or explain to them that there are other tables available if said preferred seat/table would be unavailable for the foreseeable future. read more

It was a bad night of travelling for me due to bad weather, being boarded, long wait in tarmac, deboarded, rerouted. I ended up at Denver Airport for connection to CA. Mizu was nearby and I had half an hour and was starving. The waitress Elizabeth was super nice, assured me that I had enough time, delivered great ramen timely, suggested great CA wine. In my hurry state, I left my prescription glasses on the table. Ricardo the GM personally called me back, personally FedExed them back to me to my temp address in CA just in time for me to continue to my journey to Europe which I absolutely needed the glasses. The entire staff at Mizu, from the GM, the waitress, to the cook, all did an excellent job. I can't thank them enough. The service was terrible. While I was still choosing my items at the self service/checkout area... a worker approached saying he was charging me before I was even done.! So rude. Then he was rushing me to finish choosing my items when I never asked for his help in the first place! The server then overcharged me! He charged me for a more expensive avocado roll, when that's not what I got I got a California roll. While I sat down to eat I looked at my receipt and I see the overcharge! I have to walk all the way back from my gate to get this error fixed. The server guy is so rude, he barely acknowledged me, then said he gave me a refund, but is not able to give me a new receipt.
