When Dave cuts the record down to the bone Scotch's Rigatoni Bolognese (not pictured) was had as well. Short Rib Sliders
Mojo S.

This place was impressive, if a little pricey, even for an airport sit-down food joint. The short rib sliders were fine dining quality meat sandwiched between surprisingly light rolls and a sprig of greens. It was probably a top 3 slider ever for me, especially with that au jus on the side. It was a tangy complement to the main attraction. The servers were nice and attentive. We were at the counter so it wasn't very hard to make sure we were taken care of. The ambiance is good for an airport, but nothing memorable. It was very modern and had lots of room, but almost felt too sterile and impersonal. But what can you do with airport space and their restrictions on blending in with the rest of the airport? I'd come back again. Those sliders are not to be missed.

I bought the Priority Pass which allows you into airport lounges and the Denver airport had this location as not a lounge but at least a place to eat and get a good credit. Upon arriving, the host told me that the location would not honor Priority Pass if my card was attached to an American Express. Which is was. But she tried anyway and it worked so I was very grateful. I was escorted to a bright and sunny restaurant area and I got my own small table. The seats were pretty close together as this was a small restaurant so I had to hear both conversations of the people at both sides of me. Would have been nice to have more privacy but I get it, it's an airport. The waitress was friendly and checked on me often. Food came out quick and was pretty tasty. I'm glad I got the $28 credit from Priority Pass and now I know where this is located in the airport!

Blown away by the deliciousness of the sliders! Fries undercooked though.

I got to Concourse A 2 hours before my flight, so decided to go to a sit-down restaurant for lunch. I googled the best restaurant in Concourse A and the Mercantile came up. I was debating between the hamburger or sliders, so asked my waitress and she said both were really good. So I went with the sliders. Wow, they were amazing!! They came with dipping sauce that just made them so flavorful! I seriously think I will be going to the airport early to eat here when I fly out of Concourse A in the future! However, the fries were mid. I actually think they needed to cook a minute longer. I'm still giving this place 5 stars though because I was blown away by the sliders!

Surprisingly really good airport food and reasonably priced. Located right between A37 and A43 on the second level across from kfc. Burger was amazing, two smash burgers which allowed for it to be juicy. The fries were good but a little too much salt for my taste. Waiter was kinda and on top of it

This is my third time visiting here while waiting for my layover flight. Had a spaghetti pomodoro and it was delicious Generous amount of burrata cheese on top of spaghetti and I really enjoyed the flavor and the texture of it! Al dente is always my favorite style! Keep up the good work and cheers

I believe my husband and I ate here the last time we were in the Denver airport and really liked it. We decided to give it another try and were not disappointed. **If you are in terminal A, looking for a great breakfast, or really any meal, this is really good and fresh. We were seated immediately by a very friendly host and greeted by our server- She was great, gave some good suggestions and brought everything out very timely. We both started with water- making sure to hydrate!!, I also ordered an espresso and a 9 ounce mimosa!! She gave me a choice between the 6 and 9 ounce, and I figured why not. It was a delicious, fresh breakfast that we felt good about eating. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the Denver airport, terminal A.

Always a great place to hang out for a Denver airport layover. I think they switched out their dinning menu here and there. Take away is always efficient, Daniel behind the bar was amazing and super efficient today. Totally help with our trip as we only had a very short time at the airport before boarding. Highly recommend. Located at the elevator at A gates

Confit Potato & Mushroom - You'll not be disappointed with this dish!

Per my peppy/friendly waitress, the restaurant recently changed up their menu u. Ugh!! This meant that no more of that delicious Beet Salad for me (I actually came here for it so to find out about the unexpected menu changed truly saddened me.) But I didn't want to leave. As steadfast as I was remaining, I decided to try something I had never tried before so even though the price was quite high, I went with the Ahi Tuna Bowl $34 to be exact.) The portion is small (not that I was anticipating something bigger.) If this wasn't airport food then it would easily be half of the price ($18 but no more.) The portion of the tuna however wasn't so stingy to my surprise. The overall taste wasn't bad either although I would firmly refuse to say that it was one of the best. This restaurant is clean; I know for sure I have never seen it dirty. I also like the layout of the place. Seatings are plenty. I have never run into a situation where I had to be on the waitlist. I guess I can give this place a decent/solid 3-star rating based on my today's experience.

Undercooked, unsalted spaghetti
Critter Face ..

Wish I could do 0 star. I ordered butter noodles since they didn't have a kids menu and it came as a suggestion from the hostess. They made us wait so long and in the end just have undercooked spaghetti with no salt or butter in it. Very disappointed. To the business: Please don't take orders that you cannot deliver.

Buttermilk chicken sandwich

Okay, this is definitely a great restaurant for an airport. When I got here at 7pm on a Tuesday, the place was busy and lively, but not hectic. Drew took care of me, and made sure I was tended to whenever needed. I ended up getting the buttermilk chicken sandwich, and it was by far the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The prices were definitely those at any other airport, but the sandwich made it almost worth the premium. Fingers crossed I can visit the main location in the city if I ever pass through when I'm not on a layover!

Do not eat the chicken barn mi. You will be chewing for 800 years. The service is mediocre and grumpy, the food is salty and mediocre, and I was grumpy.

Quite good for airport food. Nice place with great views and food was quite decent. We tried the burger and Caesar salad. Food - 4/5 Service - 3.5/5 Ambiance - 4/5

Breakfast here was pretty bland and boring. Didn't come with toast. When does toast coast extra? $18 for two strips of bacon, some eggs, and some potatoes. Maybe their lunch/dinner is better?

Ham and cheese croissant, cappuccino and purified water.

Comfortable seating, nice view of the airport, outlets for charging. The Airport Chicken was amazing. And my waiter (Lawrence) was a gem.

Old Hickory Steakhouse - The steak tartare was packed with flavor and the mustard and horseradish amplified the richness of the tender hand-chopped, raw beef.

I dined here recently for a bougie meal with a few work colleagues. It's an upscale restaurant, an homage to the steakhouses of yesteryear, yet modern and refined. For a Monday night the place was popping! Being with other colleagues, I was comfortable having a few others make the decisions. We landed on oysters as an appetizer and these were great. Being landlocked we always get the eye roll when they say the oysters are fresh...to their credit, they brought us a nice selection of East Coast and West Coast oysters that I found to be quite tasty! One of the best parts of dining at Old Hickory is their bread and butter. Like woah, it shouldn't be this good! Soft rolls and decadent butter, it's tough to beat a tried and true combination like this. Sides are a la carte like most steakhouses, maybe one day they'll change this! We ordered a few for the table. These were lacking in my humble opinion, the potatoes and brussels were just okay. They do provide a nice sized portion, and a single side can feed 2-3 people. Back to the good, a colleague and I shared the 24 oz. Bone In Ribeye. Now we're talking!!! This was cooked to a lovely medium rare, and loaded with flavor. Ribeyes are obviously one of the superior cuts of meat for a reason, this was buttery, rich, and damn delicious. I was stuffed, but we tried two desserts. I only had a bite of each, and these were presented beautifully and both great. I have to give a shoutout to our server, who took great care of us, made wine recommendations, and seemed genuinely happy to be taking care of us. Prices are very high, but the service exceeds expectations. If you're looking to ball out, Old Hickory delivers!

The lobster bisque was delicious, the Caesar salad with anchovies was excellent, and the steak was cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the baked potato initially, although the inside became quite dry after the top layer. What disappointed me most was the overall atmosphere, especially considering the very high price point. For a steakhouse charging premium prices, I expected a more upscale and elegant dining experience. The lack of tablecloths and the overall ambiance made it feel less luxurious and refined than I anticipated. The service was wonderful! We had a server that knew the menu and made great recommendations. A great steakhouse experience is about more than just the food. It's also about the setting, presentation, and feeling of occasion. While the meal had several highlights, I wish the restaurant's atmosphere better matched the pricing and quality of the cuisine.

SPACE: Located in an outdoor mall area, the space is easy to spot with ample parking. The interior is cozy with dim lighting and oak accents, while offering a variety of seating for parties of all sizes. A spacious outdoor patio is also available - perfect for the summertime! We were seating in the middle of the dining room, which was fine with us. The vibe is def cozy chic, which we found welcoming . SERVICE: I had booked reservations in advance, as Happy Hour here is a major hit. The friendly hostess seated us and our server followed shortly behind her. She was friendly, attentive, provided some good recommendations and was pleasant all around! SIPS: While our friend opted for a glass of wine, my husband stuck with water, while I looked at their mocktail menu. The options are limited, but available for a fun treat. I opted to try the "Little Kiss" which was a mixture of grapefruit, sparkling soda, and cranberry. The flavors were on point for the holiday season and tasted refreshing. I will admit, the glass it came in was a turn off. It was like a normal draft size class, which made me feel like I was about 9 years old. Bummer. Otherwise, there are plenty of options for drinkers alike - beer, wine, cocktails, you name it, they have it! SUSTENANCE: The food!! This spot is known for their rustic Italian and woodfired creations - and the menu is fire. I asked for some bread and oil to start - because that sounded divine. It came out quickly and was a nice intro to the meal. My friend opted for the Pasticcio - aka meatballs, three cheese tortellini, slow braised Bolognese, herby pomodoro, bechamel and parm brulee - which he found to be fantastic! It came with more bread, which was perfect for dipping. My friend got a kick out of the presentation as well - in a cast little iron cauldron! I chose the Seafood Pasta - a special of the night. I'll admit, I was a bit disappointed in my meal - as it was a mixture of squid, shrimp, scallops and other - in a red sauce. Not what I was expecting with seafood, but always down to try new things. The seafood flavor overpowered the dish - which made it hard to finish. I opted not to take it home. My husband noshed on the Brasato - Barolo wine slow braised angus short rip, creamy polenta and gremolata - which was DIVINE. The meat was SO tender, delicious and took on the rich wine flavor, perfect over potatoes! YUM! The pizza stood out to me as well, but considering Cattivella is classy, I opted for other. The Bruschetta Boards provided a full assortment of the items offered. The favorite was the Sweet & Spicy Pepper Jam & Goat Cheese. The kids enjoyed their meals as well.
