We *love* W&G - in fact it's so good we will often plan to be at the airport early so that we have time for a Spanish Revival and some bone marrow. We were fortunate enough to get our favorite Williams & Graham bartender, Erik, this time - so we were able to get his amazing (and inexplicably still not on the menu) rum punch with Smith & Cross and Plantaray Cut & Dry rums - which is FANTASTIC! If you haven't been, you should plan for it - Terminal A behind a fake bookstore. Look for Erik, get the rum punch, and join me in asking William's & Graham to put it on the menu. Who knew there were speakeasy's in airport. In terminal A at the Denver airport you can find a speakeasy masked behind a bookcase. Unless you know about this place, you'll surely miss this location. People passing by have a peak interest if why people are standing about! Don't expect to just get in as small. According to the host it sits about 50 people. There are seats army the bar of around small tables. The space is tight with loud music pouring in. Note: there are really no spaces for luggage, it gets piled up in a corner. The menu is plain except gif s couple items like bone marrow or frog legs. I ordered the French soup and devil eggs. French soup was in the upper teens and a small bowl. It was a super salty bowl of soup. The devil eggs were pre made thus not soft. They cost about 12 dollars. Both food items were poor. If coming here, I would stick to the drinks. Cocktails cost 28 dollars. They are solid in flavor but not big. Got me, this is a kind and fine place unless I just dropped in for drinks. read more

I ove when a business puts this much work into the aesthetic and menu. It makes for a great experience all around. This location is in the airport near gate A38. It's disguised as a book store but when you walk through the secret door you're transported to a speakeasy nestled in the heart of the airport. There was an event going on the day I was there so I didn't have time for food, just drinks. The space isn't very big and you coukd probably get away with chilling here for a bit as l9ng as there isn't a long wait. I had a mimosa and my friend had an espresso martini. Both were high quality and very good. The service was great and we even got to write a note in a secret guest book. Williams and Graham is a super unique place; it's a small speakeasy within the Denver airport located just around gate A38. There is usually a wait list; when I came in September I waited about 30 minutes so if you have a short layover or something I don't think you should bother trying to come. But that said, the inside is a fairly nice bar, and the bartenders are really nice! I like the library theme a lot. The hostess stand is actually right in front of a wall of books which is a take-one-leave-one set up if you choose to. The wall of books is the door, they open it for you when it's your turn to be seated. The menu isn't crazy extensive by any means but they do have a lot of classic cocktails and some unique ones. The day I came I had an Aviation which is one of my favorite classics and it was very lovely. The vibe of being able to sit and have a drink and rest a bit while watching the planes and folks outside the one way window is really unique. :) read more

I read about this place in an article about fun things to do in Denver. I've made multiple stops by the wait was always too long. Well, what do you know...it's not busy at 10AM. This was a fun experience. Drinks are interesting. Didn't get to try any food because they were switching to the lunch menu. During my visit, it wasn't too busy but there was only one person working. Finally had the chance to check out Williams & Graham Speakeasy during a six-hour layover at Denver International Airport after some flight delays and cancellations. A coworker had told me about it, so a few of us decided it was the perfect time to find the hidden speakeasy. After saying the secret words -- "I'd like to read a book" we were q welcomed into this awesome little spot after a 10 min wait. The atmosphere is rustic and authentic to the speakeasy vibe, and surprisingly quiet compared to the busy terminal outside. The drinks were excellent. We had a couple Old Fashioned, perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The aioli fries were a great snack while we waited out our layover and enjoyed our drinks. Joe, our server, was fantastic! Attentive when needed but never intrusive. If you have a couple hours to spare at DEN, this hidden gem is absolutely worth checking out. We'll definitely be back... might even start planning longer layovers in Denver just to stop in again. read more

This is a speakeasy behind a false wall bookstore. It is located just before gate A38. There are one way windows that look out into the concourse. We were here for breakfast. Front of house team was amazingly gracious. M got the "simple breakfast:" The potatoes au gratin that came with it are a treat. She is pleased with the sausage and the dish in general. Chopped cheese: this is a fun little cheesy sandwich. Both M and I were very pleased with it. The little binder book where you can write a note when paying your tab is a hoot. read more

I was told it was a 10 min wait, but it was much shorter than that. Promptly seated at the bar. Brad is an awesome bartender, and I had a good convo with him. Was very pleased that absinthe is served here, so I ordered that. Apparently I'm the first one to ask for it neat! Good music was played, contributing to the ambiance. It was a nostalgic mix of early 2000s radio-friendly rock, including "When we were Young" by The Killers, "All Star" by Smashmouth (yes, the Shrek song), and "She's So High" by Tal Bachman. Sam G might be the best in the whole city. He asked what I liked, crafted a custom drink on the spot, and it was unreal -- truly one-of-a-kind. Then he asked my name and decided to call it "The Auston." I'm 40 years old and this is the first drink ever named after me... bucket-list moment unlocked. I felt so at home in this cozy, calm bar. I was fully expecting a long wait due to the hectic holiday travel weekend, but wandering by, I could only see a handful of people waiting. I put my name down, and was called in within 15 minutes. From the hostess to the staff person who walked me to my seat, to Erik tending the bar, the staff truly made the experience feel like I wasn't 8 hours into a travel day. They were personable, friendly, and it felt like they cared that you were enjoying yourself. They were conscientious of my time, and even confirmed when my boarding time and how far my gate was. There was even an area to tuck your bags so they weren't tripping hazards. I stopped myself at one cocktail (Spanish Revival, chefs kiss - so refreshing, citrusy, aromatic, and utterly unexpected at an airport, though expect airport prices) and one dish (Big Sauce Green Chili Gnocchi - flavorful, gnocchi were deliciously chewy, and I would've been happy with the chili in a bowl all on its own). The dishes around me also looked really well done; you probably can't make a bad choice at Williams & Graham. I hope my luck holds out and I can find myself back here soon. read more

When I told my daughter that I was going to attend the National Safety Congress tradeshow in Denver, she sent me a reel / IG story about a speakeasy in the Denver International Airport. I must have watched it a couple of times to make sure I knew how to get there and was planning to visit upon flying back home. I had a great visit to Denver, finally attended the NSC, and we got to DEN early, but the guys wanted to go to the Amex lounge. - Boo and way overpriced, especially as I was a guest, and it cost $50 for me to sit there. When the fellas noticed that they had to get going, I replied, " Why? Our flight isn't until later", to which they said, " You're not on the same flight with us to Seattle?" I played the role and said that I must have made a mistake in booking my return flight, all the while knowing that I had just enough time to book it from Terminal C, take the train to Terminal A, and hustle my way to Gate 38. I said goodbye to the fellas and started my journey to Williams & Graham. I found the bookstore with a very nice young woman situated behind an enormous cash register from days long past. I patiently waited until she was done talking to a guest on the phone, and she took my name down, and I was hopeful that she was going to press a couple of the big buttons on the cashier for some magical moment, but that did not happen. I sat in one of those horrible airport chairs and waited for my name to be called. About 10 minutes later, she called my name, asked what book I wanted to read, and before I got the chance to reply, she pulled one book and opened the door to the bar space. So cool. It was private, had nice lighting, and a friendly atmosphere. What I really liked was the dedicated space for luggage and bags. One thing I really dislike about having a drink at a bar, pub, or restaurant is the lack of bag storage. Not an issue here. Bobby was very friendly and professional. I was torn between two drinks and was recommended to have the Spanish Revival. That was an excellent recommendation, so much so that the young woman to my left saw me leave my body in a moment of bliss when I tasted it that she ordered one for herself. There were some interesting items on the menu, but the All-Day Breakfast caught my eye, and when I read vegan breakfast sandwich, the ticket was punched and I was all-in. I enjoyed the Spanish Revival and my vegan breakfast sandwich, and quite honestly, the entire Williams & Graham experience was 10/10 off the charts good. It was a fitting end to a work trip and worth every penny. Not sure when I will connect through Denver next, but when I do, I will factor in some additional layover time for a Williams & Graham visit. read more

I have been to the original Williams and Graham and love the concept. The idea of a speakeasy at the airport sounds fun UNTIL the host/hostess makes you wait for a while to be seated even though there is plenty of seating inside. I don't know if it is part of their plan, but people need to get on a plane. They don't have all day to wait to get in to a speakeasy that takes a while to make craft cocktails. Our flight was delayed and so we figured we had time to check out the new location. I walked up to the host stand and the lady asked how large our party was, what everyone's name's were and when our flight was leaving. She said it would be a 10 minute wait, I said no problem since my friends were down the walkway at the Sky Bar. I told her I was going to grab them and be back in 10 minutes. We arrived and she made up wait another 10-15 before escorting us in. Not sure why they make people wait, but the airport isn't the place for it. She sat us in a booth that was rather small. If we were asked we would have preferred to sit at the bar, which had plenty of space. Our server came over and asked for our IDs. We handed them to her and asked why they don't card at the door. She said it is the law to be carded by the actual person serving you. If that was the case then every bar downtown Denver is out of compliance because the bouncer/host always cards before letting you in, but whatever. We each ordered our cocktails. It took a bit for them to be made. There was only 1 bartender that I saw and craft cocktails take a while to make. All of our drinks arrived and were gorgeous and delicious. The price is a bit high, but I get it, you are also paying for the ambiance. All in all, I think it is a cute idea. Just not sure how often I would be going due to time. read more

A friend had told me about this establishment, and luckily I had a trip planned a month later and was able to check it out. When I arrived, I was told there'd be a 45-minute wait--fortunately, that turned into just 10 minutes. Everyone I encountered was friendly and accommodating. I ordered an Old Fashioned, which was tasty, though a bit on the pricey side--but hey, it's the airport, so that's expected. I also tried the French onion soup, but I wasn't a fan. It had some sort of protein in it that tasted off and overly salty. I brought it to their attention, and while they did offer to replace it, the menu was so limited that there wasn't anything else I wanted. Surprisingly, they didn't comp it or offer anything to make up for it, which was disappointing. It's located next to gate A38 at DIA. As for the ambiance--it's marketed as a speakeasy, so I expected a 1920s Prohibition vibe. Instead, the staff was dressed in Hawaiian shirts. We loved this place the last time we were here. Unfortunately this time was a frustrating delivery of mediocre bland flavorless food and cocktails that were fine, but not great. We were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait. After 33 minutes, we were seated. It still took us 40 minutes to get our food even though we let the server know we needed to leave 50, minutes after being seated and she told us that would be no problem at all. We had to get our food, the check, and the to go boxes at the same time. The French onion soup was meh and needed to be finished with cognac to give it depth. The burger was served on a basic bun with a patty. That's it, bun,?burger patty, bun. Not worth the wait and definitely not worth the price. We only had to wait a few minutes and we were taken back behind the bookcase to a great booth with plenty of room. The interior is very Speakeasyesk...dimly lit with smaller laps throughout. We did not have any food although there are plenty of options - we had drinks. I ordered the Pour Lenore which was delicious!
