The Fortunate Prospector is a wonderful pub style restaurant and even though the menu is a bit limited, the offerings are truly delish! This restaurant is walk in only so I was thankful they had seats available for dinner. Having been here last at a Yelp event, I knew what I would order. Recalling the Cottage Pie, which is made with a wonderful braised beef, would be my lunch and dinner (it is a very decent size portion). Served in a mini cast iron skillet, it truly helps keep the meal warm and offers that British flair vibe. The Fortunate Prospector has a full bar so be sure to ask if you have a specific brand of liquor in mind. Don Julio 1942 and Kettle One are prime choices!

We checked in at the podium without reservations for a party of 4 and was told a table is was being cleaned up 5min wait. After 15mins we were seated nice inside dining area with a full bar in the middle. Our server took our orders but we did get a wrong order brought out , waters were filled once until we asked . Not busy evening Food looked wonderful but not what we expected like my Cobb salad overly buttermilk dressing lettuce lil soggy. At time of our checkout server like threw the pens on our table with an attitude not acceptable.

After literally visiting each restaurant in the resort we finally decided on here as they were the only ones with practical food and no over 40 minutes waiting list. I'm kind of not surprised about the long wait being Black Friday and the resort had its annual ICE exhibit. The service was excellent and everyone courteous. Prices were reasonable and food delicious. I had the cottage pie not to confuse it with shepherds pie. Best of all they give a military discount.

The Fish & chips here are so good! We always recommend it and the sticky toffee pudding to visitors. The fish is cooked perfectly, soft and flaky. The batter is thin and not heavily thick! Don't forget the malt vinegar for your fries! IYKYK! The pickled eggs are also a favorite of ours. Don't skip out on dessert or you'll regret it! Ashley was our server and she was fantastic! Attentive and very friendly. She even offered us a free s'mores DIY kit to use on the resort for our baby!

If you're in the mood for a classic British pub experience, The Fortunate Prospector at the Gaylord Rockies Resort does a nice job of delivering it. Located on the bottom floor of the resort, it doesn't offer a view of the grounds, but it makes up for that with its cozy, welcoming pub atmosphere. The chicken wings were flavorful, and satisfying. The Ploughman's Platter was another standout, featuring a generous assortment of cheeses, cold cuts, and bread, perfect for sharing. That said, the Fried Cod Sandwich was a bit of a letdown. The fish itself was bland and lacked flavor. The main reason we went, though, was for the Sticky Toffee Pudding, and it was absolutely worth it. Served warm with a rich toffee sauce that soaked perfectly into the moist cake, it was decadent without being overly sweet. A comforting, delicious end to to the meal.

Had a pretty good experience at the Fortunate Prospector. A British themed pub and restaurant with some of the British classics. The fish and chips stood out to me and that's what I ordered. There were two big pieces of fried cod. The breading was light and more of the British style where you can tell there was some carbonation with the bubbles and crispy bits. Fish was excellent and held together pretty well. The chips were decent though they were more American style wedges. The hatch Chile tartar was a nice touch though it could've had more flavor. I think there wasn't enough capers to cut the grease. Coleslaw was solid as well. Service was great and food came out very fast. Would definitely recommend getting the fish and chips here if eating dinner at the hotel.

Visiting ICE at the Gaylord and stopped by for dinner afterwards. We were seated immediately with a nice booth in the back and a high chair for our daughter. Our waitress was friendly and quick with our orders. The food did take awhile but was hot and fresh. The fish and chips were the hit at our table while my burger was good but overly messy as I had to eat it with fork and knife. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious and a good finish to the dinner.

So we're here for several days, so we had the chance to dine here twice thus far. Their chicken tikka masala was tasty, for me it was a tad on the spicy side - everything was on point, the rice, chicken was moist & the naan brought the dish all together. The bar tender made a great expresso martini, good selection of beers, fair selection of wines. We also tried their burger - melts in your mouth goodness, the fries were crispy & lastly the side salad. Service the 1st visit was stellar; the second night we arrived as they got blown out, the crew pulled it together. The atmosphere is causal & can get loud.

Entryway-- to the right is where you can expect to find the restaurant.

Had breakfast here a few months ago and it was pretty good! We had a waffle, fruit, and an omelette and it was pretty good... I just don't know about the price. They are cashless, which was inconvenient for us (and they said they get that a lot... sooooo hopefully they rethink that). The staff was nice and the ambiance is eh. It's really rustic and dim/dark in there (not in the romantic way), which was kind of a shame, considering how much light is in the main atrium area. Give them a try, but there are lots of breakfast places that do the same thing for less. I also don't remember if they validated parking or not, might be something to consider prior to going.

This place was the only place open with decent food at a decent price. Every other restaurant in the hotel had mondo prices for lackluster dishes. Now I chose to get the chicken tenders with fries because it was cost effective and satisfying. Also I can't go without giving my waiter their props. FANTASTIC SERVICE 12/10. Wanted to come there again just for the amazing service alone. Truly a 10/10 experience. Also the vibes are so cute. It's like I was in Britain.

We have been here twice now and loved it each time! This time, I ordered the tikka masala this time around and I ate every last bit! The chicken thighs were perfectly cooked. The flavor of the tikka is amazing! The naan bread was nice and garlicky and buttery. I would eat it every day! The martini is the same one I ordered last time. Still just as delicious! Service this time around was a tad on the slow side, but still fairly nice!

The fortunate prospector was AMAZING all around. From customer service, to ambiance, to the food, 10/10! I got the cottage pie and it was a large meal that was filling, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My husband got the bangers and mash which was very hearty and flavorful as well. For dessert we ordered the sticky toffee pudding, which was recommended to us by another server at one of the other resturaunts at the Gaylord. She definitely was not wrong about that suggestion. This resturaunt is located inside of the Gaylord Rockies Resort. We stayed the night to have a little staycation since we are locals, and this might just be one of my new favorite spots. We checked out a few of the resturaunts at the hotel, and although they were all amazing, this meal was unforgettable. Can't wait to return to grab dinner and hang out at this resort.

The Gaylord continues to have EXCELLENT service and that proved true for the friendly and accommodating wait staff at The Fortunate Prospector. After a fantastic dinner at Copper Table recently, we decided to try another spot in this gorgeous hotel. The Fortunate Prospector serves on the vibes- very British pub feel which we loved. However, I have to say the meal was a bit of a letdown. The Fish and Chips were pretty average which maybe is to be expected eating fish nowhere near the ocean. The fish had a lot of breading. The Bangers and Mash however lacked the depth we were looking for. It really tasted like resort food (think the food you'd get at Disney). We are used to bangers (sausages) being packed with flavor. We'll skip this spot in the future. 10/10 with the service though, our waiter was really attentive and kind.

Flights span an impressive range~clean lagers, expressive saisons, juicy IPAs, thoughtful stouts, and beautifully nuanced wild ales. Nothing feels rushed or gimmicky; every pour feels deliberate.
