Nice little hotel bar. The bartender was a nice guy. Pretty straightforward, unfortunately no cocktail list but that was ok for me.

Great atmosphere inside and have a covered patio, which is where we sat. We had a reservation for 5:00 and we got seated at a table on the patio. We luckily were early enough to make it in time for their happy hour menu which had some great choices on it. For our starters we had the curtido chopped salad, with grilled cabbage and beets 7.5/10. We also had the butter lettuce and tarragon which was very good 8/10. For our first appetizer we had the sea island red peas and cauliflower, very good, loved the cauliflower 8.3/10. We also had the burger and fries from the happy hour menu. The burger was cooked well, 8/10, a little too much sauce but homemade ketchup and homemade bun, it's hard to go wrong. If anything the patty was a little thin, but the fries were great and crispy 8.5/10. For our entrees we had the roasted half chicken 7/10. The sauce was just alright and the first piece of chicken was a little dry but the rest of the slices were very good. We also had the pork tenderloin tournedos, pretty straight forward, great prunes and potatoes 7.5/10, the sauce made the dish. Nothing caught our eye for dessert, however we were pretty full and there are a lot of great dessert options at Stanley Marketplace. We enjoyed our time here and will look forward to coming back in the future!

Hence dinner was 2x what the menu implied We ordered 2 dishes that each came with fries. The waitress asked if we wanted to swap in something else. I asked for a veggie and she said no they could t do that and our only option was for bread

We had an amazing server Paule, who greeted us with such happiness for a Saturday morning even though he was a Ohio State fan - my husband wore his Go Blue Michigan attire. My husband had eggs, sausage, pancake and potatoes- which he enjoyed and a cup of coffee, I had the fried chicken breast sandwich with coleslaw and pickles and potatoes as well. The blueberry lemonade was refreshing. One thing to note is The Common Good needs to invest money in their buns... seems most restaurants are not spending $$ for quality buns and that's important. Overall our server made our meal worthwhile and the Christmas decor makes for holiday cheer!

The salsa we received was a green and a red and they were full flavored delicious! I ordered two tacos a la carte: Apple Cilantro Steak and Braised Short Rib. The tacos arrived quickly, were delicious. Especially the Apple Cilantro Steak. Note that the tacos are street taco sized. This means smallish at around 4-5" inches each. Nice that they are double tortilla wrapped. Our waitress checked in with us a couple times to make sure we had everything we wanted. We will likely return.

When the weather is nice, the patio seating is a nice bonus and adds to the laid-back vibe. I didn't see any happy hour specials on either food or drinks, but the margaritas are reasonably priced, especially the house margarita. They seem to be best known for their taco plates, but I went with one of the bowls instead. While it tasted quite delicious, the portion size felt a bit light for the price; I had this same concern looking at all the online photos of the tacos, too. Service was friendly and straightforward: just walk in and seat yourself. The bar area has plenty of TVs, perfect for if you want to watch a game. It would be perfect if they had happy hour specials. I would maybe explore your options if you want good value, but it's a nice casual place that's worth a stop if you're craving what their menu has.

It's a really solid neighborhood place with a good happy hour and fun daily specials (like Wednesday wine night). The atmosphere can also surprise you in the best way -- when the piano player is there, it adds a really nice touch and makes it a surprisingly romantic date spot. Food-wise, the chicken fingers are some of the best I've had. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The thin fries are amazing too -- the kind you keep eating long after you're full. The gravy and honey mustard are perfect pairings with the chicken and fries. The BBQ sauce, though, I could personally do without. Overall, a great neighborhood spot with good food, good specials, and a fun atmosphere.
