Our layover in Denver international airport afforded us some time to grab some food. While this airport had a plethora of food selections, I decided to find something with substance rather than fast food. I chose this restaurant because they had Asian food and the menu looked really good. The restaurant itself was really busy as it had a bar inside. Plus they were showing the Stanley cup hockey games so I decided to order to go. Staff was not really friendly at the front desk but I did not let that deter me. I placed my order for pad Thai and the pork belly buns. I waited. And waited. And waited. Didn't hear them. Call my name so I went to check at the host desk to see if my order is ready as it was at least 30 minutes. Then they said that my food was ready and quickly obtained it and gave it to me. I was a little just worried and didn't try calling my name or anything as I was waiting right there in front of the host desk. When I opened up my food containers, pork belly buns looked really delicious and smelled delicious. When I open the pad tie container I was rather disappointed as there were nuts all over the bowl. I felt like there was more peanuts than noodles and tofu in here. Plus the flavor of the pad Thai was not right. I've eaten a lot of pad Thai in my time and this dish did not even come close to an authentic pad Thai dish. I did enjoy the pork buns a lot and the coleslaw that they provided was also delicious. The price I paid for these two dishes is not worth it. I did not care for the pad Thai whatsoever. For anyone thinking of ordering it. Take your money elsewhere.
Service was good. The bar is really nice and it was a nice quiet place to get away from the hustle for a bit. They have a decent beer selection. Unfortunately, the French onion dumplings were not good. They tasted like they had cigarette ashes in them...it was weird.
On a stopover in Denver, decided to check out Cho Lon due to the positive reviews. So my question is, what is everyone eating that was so great? Tried the Shrimp Fried Rice - the grains were so old and grainy broken pieces it was disgusting. Fried egg on top, overcooked. The Pork Belly Bao Buns were flavorful and alright with the picked vegetables. At least edible. Service was quick, ambiance was nice. Table was uneven and kept tilting every time someone touched the table. I guess for airport terminal food it was adequate and different from a burger and bar scene. Would not return here. Two items came out to $50.! Expensive for this food!
I returned from a business trip and picked up food to go from this establishment. I was shocked how high the prices were first of all. $24-$27 for noodle dishes without meat and another seven dollars to add chicken tofu or and eight dollars to add shrimp and I think beef. So we are talking up to $32 for a simple pad Thai dish or sambal noodle dish. Being that I hadn't had breakfast, I ordered it. The sambal noodles with shrimp is what I ordered and while it was large, the snap peas and carrot shreds were overcooked and the shrimp was tiny and that was about all there was to the dish other than noodles and chili. The level of spice was great, but there was really no other flavor and I had to drain it and soy sauce to give it some kind of flavor at all. I was very unimpressed and can get a better dish of noodles from the local dive Thai joint for $14. I ordered the lime and coconut cheesecake which looks really good. Haven't tried it yet. Again, overpriced at $14! This place is a rip off for the quality of food.
The menu is clearly labeled gluten free and the sambal noodles with pork belly are delicious and a little spicy. Would come back any time I'm in Concorse C. Matt was our server and he was great!
If this is a good representation of Cholon, then I'll pass. Won't visit this location or any other location. This was mid, and like another said, that is generous. We paid $100 including tax and tip for the below: - Cho dumplings - crunchy pork potstickers - bao bun pork belly - Mongolian beef Everything tasted frozen, including the rice. The best thing we had was the service and the sauce they came with the potstickers. The Cho dumplings were def saucy and that they sprayed at us when we bit into them. Not worth it. Everything was ok. I would pass at this place and go to Marczyk next door instead.
Airport food usually deserves a participation trophy, but ChoLon is my new airport obsession. Fantastic flavors and solid portions. Hands down my favorite spot to eat before flying through DEN. 5/5 perfection. I'll be back every time!
Stopped here before our flight for a quick meal. Sadly breakfast stops being served at 11am so we had to stick with the lunch menu. We got the Korean spicy chicken sandwich and edamame. The food came out quick and the staff were great but the food wasn't my favorite. The edamame was grilled and super salty from soy sauce. The Korean spicy chicken sandwich had an interested after taste. Overall the restaurant wasn't too crowded unlike other options so that was nice.
Hmmmm, maybe because it's newish- but, you know how you judge a good Mexican restaurant on the basics like rice and beans as an indicator of how good the rest of the meal could be? I ordered the cucumbers and they were ok but felt confusing- sliced marinated ones and then chopped sauced ones- did they run out of the pickled ones? On to a simple side of white rice- eeesh. White rice can be such a bowl of delicious comfort if you know how to make it right! This was somewhere between long grain and left out to dry. This is an upscale Asian concept restaurant! I had the black pepper udon noodles and they were so over sauced- which promoted the ordering of the white rice- disappointed again in the pork belly added to the noodles- dry, overcooked with none of the unctuous fat- why even get it? Service was fine but again maybe it's just because they are new? Brought me ice water with no ice and then when I asked, I got a plastic cup of ice? Just weird. I've been to other locations that were better but still not great. Must be my Asian blood and expectations! This was a miss.
I love ChoLon. I have been a fan since ChoLon - Downtown opened many years ago. Popped in here at the airport for a quick morning bite because I wasn't really in the mood for breakfast foods. Service was good. The fried potstickers were good. But, jeez, these were the worst service of French onion soup dumplings I have ever had at a ChoLon. They really did taste quite old. The covering was leathery??? The interior was overly salty, and the Gruyere cheese did not taste quite right to me. We were a little pressed for time so I didn't say anything or send them back, but wow these were so much worse than any other batch of the French onion soup dumplings I have ever had.
I got to the airport almost an hour and a half early and was hungry and wanted something good and different. Cholon happened to be right next to my gate I stopped in to have a bite. I ordered the chicken fried rice. It was good the water chestnuts gave it a refreshing crunch. The egg was crispy yet good it could've been undercooked just a little bit more. The Saigon old-fashioned was refreshing and not too heavy. Everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. The service was friendly and warm. The restaurant did have an upscale get relaxed feel to it. Glad I stopped in. I'd look to try the wings and the pad Thai next time.
This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks we've visited this Chopin location and we will make this our regular stop whenever we are at DIA. My husband and I had a breakfast sandwich with the most amazing house made bread! We also shared the pork dumplings because, well because why not?!? Fire! Every. Single. Bite. Even the breakfast potatoes with the dusting of Korean spices were a celebration on the tongue. And the staff is so gracious and accommodating. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and super friendly. I no longer dread eating at the airport!
We worked with Chef Lon back in our old BrüFrou: craft beer + culinary pairing events days. I remember whatever local brewery we paired him with, he would come up spectacular flavor sensations in his one bite dishes. Tonight as I'm waiting for my flight, I self-paired a refreshing OLD SAIGON cocktail made with Benchmark bourbon, Thai basil, orange & cherry with the FRIED RICE WOK BOWL made with wok fried egg, crispy shallots and I added the amazing pork belly-- bite-sized umami bombs of deliciousness!!! If you're ever in C concourse, this is the place :-)
This was a lovely stop for our 3 hours at Denver Airport. We each ordered the mortadella banh mi. Kinda brilliant. It came with fries and ketchup and ranch. I'm an American of a certain age, so yes I want my ranch dressing. They set us at an extremely long bar bench. It was comfortable. Everyone working here was genuinely friendly with us. That makes me think they're treated well. That makes me okay supporting this place. All in all it was a nice place to grab lunch on a day of travel. read more

Armand! So kind to the weary travelers! 2 travelers., all we can say is WOW In spacious seating with other travelers and greeted with the bright smile of our waiter. Starting off with drinks, Highly recommend the Citrus Blossom. Edaname, cucumber salad appetizers..FULL of flavor! We took his recommendation for the black pepper udon with pork belly, signature pad thai Flavors profile insane good! Who would habe thought the cilantro in the cucumber salad would have meshed? Bao - My favorite bite, not the best bao I've ever had but I thought it was really yummy and I would order it again! My husband didn't love it though. French onion soup dumplings - TBH I can't be upset because they nailed it. Tastes exactly like french onion soup in a dumpling. I love both french onion soup and dumplings and I just think they're way better separate. You don't get the soft soggy bread and thick melted cheese and quantity of soup that I love when you have a tiny bite in a chewy dumpling. Pad thai - Maybe the weirdest pad thai I've ever had. The noodles were basically clear, I did spot a bean sprout but it was so limp I couldn't distinguish it from the noodles by texture. Why are there red onions? The eggs were a weird texture, the peanuts were basically whole, and the chicken was maybe the worst part. It looked like it was cooked whole and then sliced into chunks rather than the flat stringy flavorful chicken pieces you're used to. Flavor overall not great. PLUS the server asked if we wanted a protein, standard pad thai question, and only when I get the bill do I see the chicken was $7 extra on our already $24 pad thai??? Since when is protein an undisclosed hidden extra cost to my pad thai dish? Really left a bad taste in my mouth. :( read more

One of the few sit down places in the airport where the food was actually good. A bit overpriced but what can we do? I ordered their chicken pad Thai and it came out quickly. I was impressed that they had gluten free soy sauce. It was a bit eggy, but still tasted good. A seriously large portion that I was able to eat it later. The service was quick and the staff checked on me frequently. read more
It was far too expensive but I understand I'm in an airport. I had the cucumber salad and black pepper udon. The cucumber salad was basically cut cucumbers with Italian dressing. Fresh but meh. The udon was decent but I can't imagine returning if it was a local restaurant. I gave it a 3 stars because the staff was very nice from the desk girl to the the servers. They were the best. If all I was reviewing was the staff it would be 5 stars. read more
Had a layover with enough time for a leisurely lunch. After trying to go to Rootdown and them not having anything appealing, I looked this place in. I had a server Jordan who was on his game but everyone was super helpful and fast. I ordered an IPA called Jiggly wiggly which was perfect. Then came the main attraction, a spicy Korean friend chicken with fries. I'm not sure what the chicken was coated in but it was red and spicy (not too), pickles and a delicious brioche bun. The chicken was white breast meat, thick and juicy. The fries were good too. I could only eat half of the sandwich but I don't think there could be a better fried chicken sandwhich at DIA. Searching through all the options in the terminal, this one seemed like that most delectable. The bartenders were awesome, friendly and took the time to let me know about their specialty booze and food. I listened to one about a food option and kind of wish I didn't listen to him. Got the fried chicken sandwich and it wasn't spicy or really that flavorful. The Mac n cheese wontons were amazing though. I need to figure out how to recreated them or I'm just going to have to eat them every time I go to the Denver airport. Even though the sandwich was a disappointment, I would come back and try other dishes on the menu. Also, the place is pretty nice I almost forgot I was in an airport. read more
This is new to Denver International Airport & is really good! My friends & I stopped here on our travels back to Arizona from New York & had time on our layover to grab lunch. It's a nice, clean restaurant with very friendly & informative workers. The food was really delicious as well & I am picky with Asian food, so I must say this was amazing! I highly recommend stopping in here for a bite the next time you're at DIA. read more
The Korean fried chicken sandwich is god awful. Not only do they not do substitution for the fries (they offered rice lol) but the fried chicken itself was SO hard that I could chip my tooth biting down into it. I cut the chicken with a knife and the breading just falls right off the chicken. I'm not sure what they were going for here but it's wasn't flavorful or spicy or remotely good. I ended up eating the inside chicken which was extremely small since everything was the extremely thick hard breading that just fell off. It's laughable they charge $22 for this sandwich. Fries tasted frozen. Only saving grace to my meal was the cucumber salad. Ramp is also broken so it's hard to lug suitcase while pregnant up and down the stairs read more

Found this spot while waiting to board. Food is pretty Asian , tastes okay , not super authentic, kinda mixed cuisine. Still way better than the usual fast food in the food court. They have drinks too--I got the Full Moon Margarita. Not too strong but pretty good, nice to just chill and relax before boarding. read more

They allowed us to order to go food at closing and thank goodness because I was craving Chinese food. I ordered the General Cho's Soup Dumplings and Fried Rice. I ate ALL of it. So freaking delicious. Thank you for keeping the kitchen open for us. read more

The restaurant couldn't accommodate our under an hour turn around to a flight but the bar served a crazy good Bloody Mary and got us a round of dim sum and the best cucumber salad ever. I can confidently recommend. read more
Very impressed with this Denver Airport Restaurant. The service was perfect, the food was yummy, and the bar had endless space that we could post up and work while waiting for our layover flight. Nice and modern bar. Server was on it refilling drinks as needed. The calamari was spicy with a smoked finish. Crispy and yummy sauce to dip it in. Loved the fried rice, enjoyed the water chestnuts in the dish. A great stop if you have time in the airport. read more
