I have come here multiple times for pedicures and they are fine, not great. I get the same thing every time and every time it's different service depending on the person I get. Sometimes they massage me sometimes they don't. Sometimes they put lotion on sometimes they don't. What i really want to share is the bad experience I've had with my manicure. It's the worst. I have been cut and my cuticles are destroyed. See pictures. I am in so much pain. I'm pretty laid-back and not super picky, but this was horrible. To all the people that have received good manicures here, I'm happy for you. That just wasn't my experience. read more

After years of being a client at City Nails, I will no longer be booking appointments. My husband and I have booked several pedicures together at City Nails, never once have we been asked upon making those appointments if the recipient is male or female. Today, we arrived for our 1:30pm appointment for Royal pedicures, this was the key element to our Date Day-we planned our 25 minute drive into Eugene around this appointment. After sitting in our chairs, we were asked to clarify who was with the requested technician, Aimee. I let her know that there was no preference & she proceeded to tell me that one of the scheduled techs didn't work on men. We were totally okay with that & waited for both techs to sit down. The first technician was a man. A little off putting since he was obviously not Aimee, and was the one who refused to do the pedicure for my husband. I smiled awkwardly and let it go. Then we were told Aimee doesn't do male pedicures either, could we wait to see who would. THIS WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE. After a moment, we left. There was no salvaging the vibe, no offering that could have made that interaction feel okay. There is a sign on the door that reads 'NO HATE LIVES HERE.' Obviously, discrimination does. City nails called us 10 minutes after leaving & left a message letting us know they were sorry & had $15 gift certificates toward our future services if we wanted them. Hard pass. Do better. My daughter surprised me with a pedicure and the lady that did my pedicure did such a wonderful job. If you can have her do your pedicure she did a amazing job I didn't get her name but I hope if her co workers or manager see this she deserves a bonus :) asked her if anybody falls asleep while she's doing the massage because so relaxing , I would definitely recommend going and getting a pedicure done here. The mimosas were delicious and my toes turned out very pretty thank you for the pampering experience the vibe was fun they had food network channel on, which is very relaxing for me to watch. While waiting for my son getting his haircut next door at The Barbers, I decided to impulsively drop in for a pedicure. I'm not from the area so this was a completely random walk in. It's been more than 24 months since my last pedicure, pre-pandemic. The shop was really abuzz and busy. I've never been to a place so busy on a weekday--mid morning. It seemed like I may not be able to get an appointment as a walk-in. The staff at the front desk said they were all booked but would try to squeeze me in. Fortunately, I was able to get an appointment right away. I got the basic service which included hot towel treatment on my legs, massage, nail and cuticle trim and polish. The technician was very nice and he did an excellent job--he even adjusted the massage chair for me. He took great care and carefully trimmed my nails and cuticles. The cost was $37 so it seemed reasonable...pre pandemic, I paid about $30, so it didn't seem excessive and I thought the service was great. For my basic service it probably took about 40 minutes, start to finish and I am pleased with my results. read more

My sister and I went for pedicures together. I would give this place a great rating for customer service, and nail care, but we both did an Add On for callus care on our feet, and we both went home with nicks from the rasp. Mine happened on my ankle bone, which stung for a while after it happened. I was petrified while she finished with the rasp, and while she rasped my other foot. I'll likely never get callus rasp care for my feet from any place ever again. read more

I used to love this place.. but the last time I went there and had pedi and mani I was super disappointed. The technician was super nice. But my mani was the worst that I've ever got! They didn't paint my nails all the way to my cuticle so it looked like my nail had grown out.. and to add less than 24 hours later the polish started chipping out.. not sure why .. pedicures are great. But I also got a full set of acrylic nails... and that was not so great. The nails were not uniform, some were crooked, the technition did not know how to use the cat eye polish, two of the nails get polish was not cured underneath and came off in two days. worst of all, he injured two of my nails. He used the electric nail file and filed too far into the top of my nails and now it hurts like hell to touch them. read more

I've been going to this place for awhile and everyone I've had is so kind and very nice. My nail polish lasts longer from this place vs. French Nail at Oakway. It is a open space with high ceilings and modern decor. Drinks are offered for decent pricing. I'm really writing this review on my nail tech, Ellie, she was so kind and really amazing. I felt so special with her care, she honestly went above and beyond. Even took the time with the massage with pedi and mani. It was a little vacation. That's what I was greeted with when I first walked in. As a guy, trying to find a nail place that will take care of my finger and toenails can be hit or miss. I think City strikes the right balance for both men and women. Muliple TV screens have a nice mix of content, from a home improvement show, to a basketball game, and even a cooking show. There's something to watch for everyone. After a friendly greeting by the reception/bar staff, I was directed to a chair where Cirlene took care of me. She did a quality job on both my pedicure and manicure. We had nice brief conversations, but otherwise, we were both okay with focusing on our own things. Fair pricing, great service, and a friendly atmosphere will have me returning again. read more

They did a terrible job. I was supposed to have chrome red gel on my toes. The color is a lousy purple (not even shiny or pretty shade). They took almost two hours for a lousy pedicure. I Had to leave and they were closing. He rushed the second foot to get done. And when I spoke to them they would not refund my $$ and she was quite snotty about it. I could have the same tech redo them but he couldn't do them right the first time so there's no point. I am attending a wedding and don't have time to go back for another lousy job. DON'T USE THEM. They offer you drinks (many are complimentary) and offer a wide range of services for nails alone! Hayat is incredibly sweet and has done my nails several times, and she always does a phenomenal job! If I could give zero stars I would. After visiting them both my sister and I got fungus under our nails from dirty tools used. I had a full set done by Tina and they were awful. Way to thick and uneven. She also made me bleed 4 different times. The prices are really high for the quality of work done. I had been so excited to find a nail person that did such a great job. I saw the owner Billy and at first he was great. But when I asked him to do something that I wanted done (and has worked for my nails for over 20 years) he argued with me and then told me he would have to make them thicker so they would stay. The result is that they are so thick and awful! They are not even the same thickness. Some super thick some not, all are shaped crooked. AND paying premium price from someone who is unwilling to do what you ask is not good. I was not going to write anything but now this has happened twice in a row. I will not be going back. read more

Let me start by saying that every time we've come here to have pedicures, we've had outstanding pedicures and service. We come every 6 weeks or so. Unfortunately, today sucked. So much for a relaxing pedicure before we leave for vacation. My husband and I were greeted immediately by the lovely lady at the counter. She's always a pleasure. She sat us down and asked if we would like anything to drink. All was good until our techs sat down and started working on us. Both ladies were more interested in having conversations with each other (in another language) than acknowledging we existed. They kept forgetting things, getting up and down, very unorganized, dropping things etc. The entire pedicure was rushed and extremely uncomfortable. My tech rubbed my shins raw and cut the skin around my big toe until it bled. Hands down the worst pedicure I've ever had. My husband complained as he was done before me but the manager didn't seem to be bothered. He took $15 off of each of our services but in my opinion, we shouldn't have been charged at all. Due to this unfortunate experience we won't be going back. Ever. read more

I find it really hard to believe that the owner and the manager and techs are being described as racist when they are all minority of color. Came in for the first time since I just moved to Eugene recently. Finish product on my nails was alright. Great looking French gel mani and okay looking pedicure. In my opinion it's lacking in the spa aspect. The pedicure had a short massage and I was never offered any upgrades or extra treatments (which I would gladly pay for but they were very busy and I never got a chance to ask). Not sure what will change with the new location. I'm not sure if it was just my technician but my massage was short and weak for both my mani and pedi. Will probably come back but will also explore other options in the area. Update: Gave it another shot in the new location. Had a MUCH better technician and overall experience. I got the NuSkin Pedicure since I was treating myself for my birthday and it was the first day it was being offered. I loved every second of it, it's pricey but the products are so high quality and it was about 30 mins total of just massages. The new location is much larger and helps with overall atmosphere and experience. I will be returning, but make sure you request the nail tech that you want some are much better than others. read more

Felt rushed and nail stylist didn't take the time and care to make my nails right. Multiple bubbles UNDER my nails and made me feel like a burden when asked to correct them. When finishing up they didn't properly clean up under or around my nails and the glue under my nail ended up coming off in chunks later. Once I finished my service they lingered to see if I was going to hand them cash and when I didn't pull out a fancy wallet and hand them cash, they went to the counter and asked the receptionist multiple times, loudly, if the nail polish was included with my set. They then charged me 3x for a simple design but was left with bubbles in my top coat. If I did want to tip in cash, I didn't have the opportunity because they ran away before I could hand it to them. read more

Just got pedi at city nails and not only was the tech not great at pedis but her mask was falling off her face and leaving her nose and upper lip exposed. When I asked her to fix it she resisted until I pulled my feet away and insisted. She was unvaccinated! I kindly and gently let her know I was immune compromised due to chemo. She didnt seem to care. Also front desk person kept walking around with mask pulled down talking on phone. Manager told me I was not allowed to speak of masks or vaccines in his shop as they are "political".
