I went here on recommendation by my barista when I mentioned my regular nail place shut down. I made my appointment specifying I needed a gel x set for my wedding nails. They got me in the Sunday before my wedding and I have to say that I absolutely loved that my nail tech listened and gave advice without trying to upsell based on the original design idea I came in with. She stated the idea I came in with was a lot of extra work, which would cost me more, she told me she could do something similar for less. The result turned out exactly as I had envisioned and better than the original idea I had. The nails held up beautifully and two months later have still held up. After having a horrible experience at another salon earlier in the day, I was honestly discouraged and worried about finding a nail salon I could trust. I'm new to the area and have been searching for a place to become a regular customer, and I'm so glad I found this one! Even though it was a busy Sunday, the young man at the front was incredibly kind and accommodating and was able to get me in last minute. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and professional. Bee did an amazing job! She had great attention to detail, took her time, and never made me feel rushed despite how busy the salon was. The conversation was wonderful, and the entire experience was relaxing and enjoyable. I had an appointment for a gel soak off. My tech Rita took out her drill and drilled the polish off. She took me early (6:30 for a 6:45 appointment) which was nice - but it felt like she was in a hurry to get home. The service was $5 and perhaps she didn't feel like it was worth her time to do a soak off, which is unfortunate. I do my own pedicure but have a hard time getting the gel polish off, and I asked for a soak because over time the drill damages nails. The facility itself was clean. No one there was remarkably friendly. I might give them one more try. I've heard good things about Sig. I'll book with her next time and see how it goes. read more

Me and my friends get our nails done every other week, as I had just moved to this area, we were super excited to try it out. Lots of positive reviews from people we know. First appointment sold us, pedicures were phenomenal. My friend had a toenail issue and the staff (Rita I believe) figured out the best way to make sure her toes were ready for sandal season. We chose to go with the monthly special, I do not remember the name, but it was a lovely experience with a reasonable price. Which is why the score is as high as it is. My next appointment I went in for an acrylic fill. I communicated the shape of the nail the length, color, style the whole works. As I've been getting my nails for years I know exactly what I like. I did ask for a little length to be taken off but not too much. Her execution was absolutely horrific. Nails were all different lengths, widths, even shapes. Best believe, I communicated with her a bunch of times what I was needing to be changed however, there was little to no fix. I was actively embarrassed with them. I did speak with management and they did help with cost and offered a free fix which was kind of them. I do want to point out that I will continue getting my pedicures there, I will never be getting my acrylics done there again. read more

First time going here after friend recommended this spot to me. I usually only get my nails done for an event but when I do I get gel x and they last 3-4 weeks working in a coffee shop and using my hands a lot. Overall the front desk and nail tech were very kind however this time I did not have a good experience. Got my nails done Saturday but Monday morning the polish had popped off my middle finger on my right hand. By noon the pointer finger had also come off. By 2 pm they just kept coming off. I called and asked to make an appointment because this was absurd by the time I got in on Wednesday all of my right hand had also popped off. Got them redone last Wednesday and they barely lasted through the weekend on Monday night my middle finger had come off again. And my right hand middle finger and my right ring finger had come off. Currently on a trip and missing three nails and I am just very annoyed. I understand I use my hands for work and school but this has never ever happened to me before and for the ridiculous price I will not be returning to this location. My nails were not as sharp as I wanted even though I kept asking her to make them sharper but I thought it was no big deal at first. After leaving i noticed very uneven and inconsistent acrylic application with acrylic under my nails, no apex, and uneven lengths and thickness. My friend's nails were also uneven, with one thin and one way too thick. None of these flaws were enough for me to leave a bad review initially, but after a couple days they already begun lifting and one completely fell off and ripped my natural nail with it one week later. Mind you they aren't even grown out yet, and they get stuck in my hair every time I touch it. I'm overall very unsatisfied especially for this costing $80 for just a fill. read more

I've been to Tippi a couple of times after getting a recommendation from a friend who is a regular here. I've been to a handful of nail salons in the past, and I'll say that my experience at Tippi is definitely one of the better ones! They take walk-ins, but if you're requesting a more complicated service, I would call in advance. The interior is beautiful, modern, very clean, and well run. Both nail techs I've had were very nice and asked me how I liked the polish/style before continuing to paint the rest. Kim was super personable, and was very detail oriented! Note: beverages are NOT complimentary! I'm used to being offered free, complimentary beverages at various salon services in the past, and assumed it was the same when I was offered a beverage upon walking in to Tippi. I've been going here since it opened. I give it the benefit of the doubt everytime. However, I think I've had 2/10 good experiences. I always feel rushed. I'm not a person that gets mani/pedi regularly. I do it as a treat to myself and I always walk out feeling disappointed that I spent all that money to feel good and all I felt like was a burden and rushed through. I've tried to fix this by getting a morning appointment as opposed to later or paying more for the fancy pedicure only to be rushed out faster than the person next to me who didn't pay extra. It doesn't help that I often get the same person and she really doesn't give it a therapeutic experience or relaxing. I don't complain but now I am. I struggled to make an appt today because I really like the environment, front desk is so courteous and amazing and there is some wonderful people that do amazing jobs there but I always get the one(s) that would rather not. My advice (and I see now why people have a designated person) is to find a good one and get their name amd schedule with them each time. This place is GORGEOUS. I've never seen a more visually stunning nail salon. It's open and airy with high ceilings and beautiful wall designs and lighting. I like that the pricing for their services is easily accessible at the checkin desk and online. It was easy to make an appt over the phone and no issues with communication/language barriers with staff. I've gotten two pedicures with my husband here, each time with consistent care and loved my results. My husband has gotten good care but hit or miss with the employee that works on him, overly chatty with him to the point that he was annoyed. But, he was happy with his results too. They have lots of tvs to entertain yourself and their chairs are plush and clean and new. This is my go to nail salon. I need to come back to try a manicure. read more

Always a pleasure to go in and get my nails done by Lynn in the 3rd row(there are 2 Lynn's). She does them so well. I haven't had one pop off in the year I've been going. The front desk peeps definitely have great attitudes and the whole place has a great vibe! I usually get pedicures with my friend from another salon. We had just been getting hit, and miss service from there, so we decided to branch out, and find a new to us place. I am so glad we did. Service was excellent from start, to finish. We were pampered the whole time, and my feet feel as smooth as a babies behind. They have a large area for pedicures, as well as a large section for fingernails. We want to come back to get those done next. I believe my friend had Sig, and the person I had was Gina. I do not recall the name of the service we decided on, which ever one it was it had the hot stone massage for your legs included. I highly recommend, especially if you have tired and sore legs. This was so relaxing, and much needed. My toes can go in public again, not look so ratchet, and not feel like I can sand the floors with the dry skin on the bottom of my feet. Jk, they were not that bad, but I could sure feel they were getting dry from the winter. Linda tried telling me that the person who did them before her, Bea, glued them on crooked and that's why that shape she filed by hand was crooked. I told her they weren't, they were straight as I had my first set for 3 weeks now and was well acquainted with them. She then proceeded to filed away at the right side, which didn't need anymore taken off. I tried to tell her this and she ignored me or pretended not to hear me. The previous set I had laid across perfectly from one side of my nail bed to the other and they were even. Now there is a big part of my real nail that's exposed. The entire space is well kept, light, and welcoming. The chairs were very comfortable, with great massage action. The staff that did our pedicures were all polite and got right to work. They have a great selection of fragrances for your lotions. The gel polish was well done - they have a ton of colors to choose from. The only reason not giving a 5 star - we were never offered a beverage. They have a great selection of beverages (as seen in the photos), and the other group that was there just before us was offered drinks. But we never were, so that was a little bit of letdown. THANKS SIG & LINDA for seeing us on short notice (less than 4hours). Atmosphere: Quiet, very clean, nice music and TVs on a variety of interesting channels. I really liked the fact the staff were having quiet conversations with their customers, not amongst themselves. Chairs were new and massagers were very nice. I did miss the jet in the tub but there were bubbles. Services: sig was the first technician in 8 years that tackled my hubby's weird callous. Sig for the win. It would take a podiatrist to make it any better. Linda did my pedicure. She was super sweet. Really appreciated her soft upsell to gel and the fact she sealed the nail edge and put an extra layer of topcoat. You cannot feel that I have a heavy-flake glitter polish on. I have been a customer of Tippi Nails since it opened and have received at least 2 dozen services from them. The customer service is always friendly but I have noticed a decline in quality of services. In my last pedicure there, the nail technician immediately cut the side of my foot with the Foot Rasp aka callus filer/remover. Little care was taken to take care of the cut nor an apology, she just laughed. Then she cut my other toe being overzealous with the cuticle cutter. She just dabbed some solution on it and continued while it bled until long after the appointment was over. When I got home, I discovered another small cut on another toe. Then 2 days later the gel polish came off in one piece on one of my toes. Gel is supposed to last. To their credit they did reimburse me a small amount but after that, the service should've been free. I had bandages on both feet, that shouldn't occur at an appointment. I understand that mistakes happen but this was carelessness. My previous pedicure done by a different tech did a very sloppy job, he got the polish on my skin and did a bad job removing dead skin to where I had to finish it at home. I used to get such great service from the salon, so I am very confused as to what has happened over the last few months with the quality of the nail services they have provided . I hope they can gather their team and have a serious talk about safety and being thorough during appointments and also what to do when and if a client has been cut and performed the proper first aid so a client doesn't get an infection or experience anymore discomfort. I like this business and it's not fun to have to write this review and normally I wouldn't but the mistakes were a bit too egregious to overlook, especially when it has to do with health and safety. I hope they can get it together for their clients and improve. For now, I will pause on future pedicures there. read more

This is my second pedicure at tippi nails. I really want to like this place but the people working there don't seem to know what they are doing. I now have one big toe that has an uneven and crooked nail. When I asked to have it straightened, I was told that she cut the nail too short to straighten it out or smooth out the top. WHAT? She didn't use a tip coat, so I am guessing the polish will come off during my vacation. Maybe that is a good thing! read more

I have been going to Tippi for several months now and I used to really love it, but I have noticed that the quality has gone down while the prices have gone way up. The staff is nice and very personable, but I often feel very rushed by the people doing my nails. Sometimes they won't let the gel on my nails cure all the way in favor of time which leads to chipping after only a couple of days. This place is always slammed, so I get needing to be time efficient, but maybe that means allotting more time to each guest and not letting as many people book appointments or something. I want to keep going there, they're the only decent place in town, but I hate feeling rushed and having chipped nails for over $50. read more
