My first and LAST waxing experience. I read the yelp reviews (and listened to my sister who is adamant that Frances is the end of the waxing road) and I will NEVER go to anyone else. If I move up to Portland- I will drive to eugene just for Frances. Thank you, for taking such good care, remembering my face, and always making me feel welcome in your clean, beautiful environment. read more

Great waxer, very friendly and easy to to talk to. Beautiful, clean studio. Great prices! Highly reccomend!

First time getting a wax with Gretchen after finding her on Google. She isSuper friendly and welcoming, her studio is private and clean, she's very close to my home, and most importantly... I left with beautiful results! Exactly what I wanted! I'll be returning and highly recommend!! read more

The best wax experience ever. I tried to get my first Brazilian over the summer at a different place and had an awful experience. I walked into this appointment a bit nervous because i know waxing can hurt but literally every anxious thought i had went away. Gretchen is one of the most personable people i've ever come across . She creates conversation the whole time and genuinely answers all your questions with a full honest answer. The waxing experience didn't even hurt . Everything she did made the experience so smooth and fast . She's super reasonably priced also which is always a plus!!! GO GET WAXED HERE PLEASEEEEEEE! read more

This is the first place I EVER went for a Brazilian wax, and it's the one I will keep coming back to. My experiences at other salons have been decent, but Frances's expertise, equipment and eloquence are hard to beat. I would recommend Bare Body to anyone, but especially to those who are new to the whole Brazilian waxing adventure. Initially, I was somewhat terrified but Frances excelled at making me feel relaxed and distracted me with conversation. Not obnoxious small talk, either, but the sort of interesting discussions that I would engage in with friends--which was essential for taking my mind off of the scalding hot wax and ripping sensation. She makes a potentially awkward experience feel totally routine, which is exactly how it should be. Best of all, the result: perfectly smooth nether-regions without a stray hair in sight. I would way rather spend money on having an awesome vagina than having fake nails or high maintenance hair, and Bare Body Waxing Studio is the place to do it. read more

This was my second time getting waxed, and my first time doing full body. Gretchen was amazing! Didn't feel at all like it had been 4 hours, we chatted the whole time. She eas extremely friendly and professional and I'm looking forward to going back! Couldn't recommend highly enough! read more

Frances is ERMHURZERN. My roommate raved about her until I made an appointment and I could not be more thankful that she did! I'll never go anywhere else. Hands down, this was the most thorough and painless (yet efficient) Brazilian that I've ever had. Frances is not only professional, but easy to converse with and very skilled at her trade. Pricing is extremely competitive and her studio is immaculate and inviting. Her products are very gentle, I have sensitive skin and have never broken out or suffered the same caliber of ingrown hairs that I used to see from Gervais or at-home waxing. The bottom line: get your *whatever* waxed here and only here. read more

Hands down the BEST waxing in Eugene! I tried at least a dozen other places, including a popular one downtown, as well as some very inexpensive places, and nothing beats Bare Body. Gretchen is a consummate professional and made me feel completely at ease from the moment I walked in the door through to the last wax. She does literally THE BEST wax! Not a single stray hair remains, which I've come to find is hard to come by here. I will only ever see her again! read more

Frances? Goddess. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My hair can grow out, when she is out of sight BEST waxer ever! I have been waxed from Ashland to Portland---South to North--- and I have to say that when it comes to professionalism and being discreet, Frances wins hands down. I am not a small person so going to a new waxer for the first time was extremely difficult. Pish, I did not have a thing to worry about. She was so lovely and accomodating and I felt truly beautiful when I left. She understood my fears and embarrasment and OMGoodness, she had me at ease in no time! She is quite affordable---kind of like getting Godiva chocolate for a Hershey price ;0) Quick witted, light handed, always a pro. And I have had a slower grow out with Frances than I have ever had with anyone else. Frances--- I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my waxing appointements! --- and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after wax! read more

Professional. Experienced. Friendly. Delightful conversation every time I come in. I highly recommend Gretchen for all your waxing needs.

My freshman year at UO, I started seeing Gretchen to get my brows waxed. Unfortunately, I had to leave the area after my first year, but if I was able to leave California and go to Eugene every 4 weeks just to get my brows done here I 100% would! I've had my brows waxed and threaded by so many people, but no one has ever left them as amazing as her. I loved coming to get waxed here, and if I ever find myself in Eug again I will be sure to stop by and pay a visit! Definitely a 5 star worthy establishment :) read more

Frances makes waxing a surprisingly pleasant and breezy (heh) experience. I'm an ever-returning customer and intend to continue using Bare Body Waxing because of the high quality services Frances provides. If her comfortable atmosphere wasn't enough, her waxing work feels refreshing and free of discomfort that waxing tends to be associated with. I HIGHLY recommend Frances for first timers or anyone in need of a high quality wax. Believe me, she's worth every penny. She makes your health and happiness a priority which is extraordinarily important when it comes to your ladybits and other tender areas. read more

Best eyebrow wax ever! Very covid safe, and nearly painless experience. Will definitely come back

Loved Frances but didn't like how she stops seeing you if you miss a few appointments. Bummer for sure especially when circumstances are out of your control! read more

First wax ever so I may not have anything to compare it to, but, gretchen was super kind! Her prices beat everywhere else in Eugene, and the hour passed by in what felt like 20 minutes! As far as results and pain go, wasn't really painful at all which was nice! And the results were amazing! It's not as smooth as I thought in the front but she did explain that with a first time wax it's hard to rip everything fully out. Still super duper pleased with the results, price, and experience! Will be going back :) read more

Never thought I'd be comfortable this getting waxed, but Frances made it happen. Practically painless process. I'll definitely come back!

Frances was very friendly and easy to converse with, however, it was not the best waxing I've had. Though my eyebrows were already plucked before the appt, I wanted a wax to get all the light colored hairs I have trouble seeing and to do a little shaping. When I checked my eyebrows after the waxing, the shape looked great but I didn't check the rest of the work closely. That night, I ended up plucking and trimming my brows on my own as lots were missed. I also had a brazilian (though I haven't had one in the past 2 years, I had gotten at least 12 the 2 years before) and it was by far the most painful one I've ever had. Though it's been awhile, I've never had a reaction to wax that way, so am still on the hunt for a place that suits me. read more

Frances is super nice and extremely good at what she does! Makes you feel as comfortable as possible in conversation. She used a hard wax which made it not too painful, and there were no stray hairs leftover! Definitely recommend. read more

I am new to Eugene and am ecstatic to have found Frances. Everything the other reviewers wrote is true. I've been getting waxed for over 10 years so I had some expectations but she met them all! She is very professional, low-key, easy to talk to, and helpful too ( she gave me lots of suggestions for things to do in town)! She's fantastic. read more

I was reminded how great Bare Body is when I recently went to another place in town. I was a loyal client of Frances' for 10 years and am happy she found a great replacement. It can be difficult to make daytime appt times work but it is worth it if you can swing it. read more

Had my back waxed for the first time by Frances and she was great. She took her time and did a great job. I was very pleased with the result. She was a pleasure to be around and made me very comfortable. Her rates are very reasonable. I highly recommend Frances without reservation. read more

Frances did an awesome job on my bikini wax, not a single ingrown or any irritation. The setting is clean and well lit by the natural sunlight. Her rates are very reasonable and I will definitely return. read more

Frances was great! Very thorough and it was as pleasant experience as you could ask for. A little pricey but I will pay it to not have a bad experience. She also is great at filling you in when she has a cancellation. Great experience! read more

Frances is as good as it gets! I recently moved to Eugene and was having a very difficult time finding someone I could trust to wax my eyebrows. I am so glad to have found Frances. Her place of business is very inviting and she really made me feel at ease considering it was our first meeeting. Her prices are very reasonable and she is very accomodating when scheduling an appointment with her. Go see Frances..you won't regret it! read more

Fantastic waxing studio. Comfortable, clean, and professional. I was impressed and would recommend Bare Body to anyone (first timer or not). You might have to wait to get in but, I assure you its worth it! read more

Frances is actually the best esthetician in the business. When I was a freshman at the U of O, i went to Gervais and had a traumatic brow waxing in which my brows were thinned by half and re-shaped completely. I had total brow PTSD and was so scared to start the process of brow-rehab. I knew when I saw her perfect eyebrows that she would be great, but she was very gentle and conservative with the wax and helped my re-grow my brows to their natural state. She is also the best person to talk to and always remembers what you tell her. She makes even Brazilian waxes a breeze. There is nobody else in Oregon who I would trust with my waxing. She is the only person I refer people to and now sees about 5 of my friends regularly! read more

Frances is amazing! From the second I walk in, I am always comfortable. Very easy to converse with and very gentle. Of course getting that area waxed is never fun but I can say it is almost pain free. I have never had any hairs missed, no irritation or ingrown hairs. The salon is clean, relaxing, and professional. Always leaving with a smile. I will never go anywhere else. I recommend her to everyone! read more

A warm and welcoming salon! Staff is friendly and sincere. I was treated with kindness and patience from my arrival until I left, excited about my next visit. Prices are very reasonable in today's beauty service market. I am mid way through a grow out from spiky short hair to a softer longer look. Erica and I discussed everything from a manageable style, helpful tools to product, minus pressure or the "must buy more" approach of my past salon experience. These people obviously care about each other and the services they provide. Bare Body Waxing and Hair Studio offers a lovely retreat from our busy hectic lives. I am delighted to have found this wonderful haven. read more

Thru the help/reviews of others on Yelp, I found out about Bare Body Waxing Studio. I went for the very first time yesterday. The studio entrance was tricky for a first time client. I didn't know that thru the front door of Beppe and Giani's is a flight of stairs to the left. Well, take the stairs up and the door in on the right. Now that I know, it will be a non issue from here on out. Frances is so good at making this process as painless as possible. She had nice small talk and keep things moving right along. The next thing I knew, she was all done and I was thrilled! It was the best experience with nether region waxing I've ever had. I have had times when the waxing tech uses wax that is too hot, or will rip on a strip and irritate the skin, not getting all the hair and will have to go over it again. I did not leave feeling like I was on fire, nor did I leave with sticky wax residue on myself. Frances is WONDERFUL. I made a follow up appointment as I left. Never going anyplace else again! Thank you Yelpers for your previous reviews. read more
