The best wax experience ever. I tried to get my first Brazilian over the summer at a different place and had an awful experience. I walked into this appointment a bit nervous because i know waxing can hurt but literally every anxious thought i had went away. Gretchen is one of the most personable people i've ever come across . This is the first place I EVER went for a Brazilian wax, and it's the one I will keep coming back to. My experiences at other salons have been decent, but Frances's expertise, equipment and eloquence are hard to beat. I would recommend Bare Body to anyone, but especially to those who are new to the whole Brazilian waxing adventure. Initially, I was somewhat terrified but Frances excelled at making me feel relaxed and distracted me with conversation. Not obnoxious small talk, either, but the sort of interesting discussions that I would engage in with friends--which was essential for taking my mind off of the scalding hot wax and ripping sensation. My freshman year at UO, I started seeing Gretchen to get my brows waxed. Unfortunately, I had to leave the area after my first year, but if I was able to leave California and go to Eugene every 4 weeks just to get my brows done here I 100% would! I've had my brows waxed and threaded by so many people, but no one has ever left them as amazing as her. First wax ever so I may not have anything to compare it to, but, gretchen was super kind! Her prices beat everywhere else in Eugene, and the hour passed by in what felt like 20 minutes! As far as results and pain go, wasn't really painful at all which was nice! And the results were amazing! It's not as smooth as I thought in the front but she did explain that with a first time wax it's hard to rip everything fully out. Still super duper pleased with the results, price, and experience! Frances was very friendly and easy to converse with, however, it was not the best waxing I've had. Though my eyebrows were already plucked before the appt, I wanted a wax to get all the light colored hairs I have trouble seeing and to do a little shaping. When I checked my eyebrows after the waxing, the shape looked great but I didn't check the rest of the work closely. That night, I ended up plucking and trimming my brows on my own as lots were missed. I also had a brazilian (though I haven't had one in the past 2 years, I had gotten at least 12 the 2 years before) and it was by far the most painful one I've ever had. Though it's been awhile, I've never had a reaction to wax that way, so am still on the hunt for a place that suits me. read more

Frances is actually the best esthetician in the business. When I was a freshman at the U of O, i went to Gervais and had a traumatic brow waxing in which my brows were thinned by half and re-shaped completely. I had total brow PTSD and was so scared to start the process of brow-rehab. I knew when I saw her perfect eyebrows that she would be great, but she was very gentle and conservative with the wax and helped my re-grow my brows to their natural state. She is also the best person to talk to and always remembers what you tell her. She makes even Brazilian waxes a breeze. There is nobody else in Oregon who I would trust with my waxing. Thru the help/reviews of others on Yelp, I found out about Bare Body Waxing Studio. I went for the very first time yesterday. The studio entrance was tricky for a first time client. I didn't know that thru the front door of Beppe and Giani's is a flight of stairs to the left. Well, take the stairs up and the door in on the right. Now that I know, it will be a non issue from here on out. Frances is so good at making this process as painless as possible. She had nice small talk and keep things moving right along. The next thing I knew, she was all done and I was thrilled! It was the best experience with nether region waxing I've ever had. I have had times when the waxing tech uses wax that is too hot, or will rip on a strip and irritate the skin, not getting all the hair and will have to go over it again. I did not leave feeling like I was on fire, nor did I leave with sticky wax residue on myself. Frances is WONDERFUL. I made a follow up appointment as I left. Never going anyplace else again!
