I made my hair appointment online using their website. I made an appointment for a Full Foil and Haircut. They had COVID19 precautions at the door. Emma did my hair. We started on time. She listened to exactly what I wanted. Convo was great and she's fantastic. Emma did a fabulous job and she was quick in and out within 3.5 hours.

Lisa did my hair I got a drastic change and love it I hadn't had my hair done in over 2 years she was great helpful and caring highly recommended

To keep this short. No don't recommend. I asked for pink-peach, got blonde, after 6 1/2 hours I gave up, my day wasted. Had to pay $170+ for something that wasn't what I asked. It also did hurt with the bleach. I hate to give bad reviews but this was something I've always regretted doing. Wish I could of got it redone, but I didn't want to go back and waste my time.

Prior to 1st haircut and highlights

Hair studio 408 review - I have not utilized any of the other staff. My review is specific to the owner, Elizabeth - In short: Horrific color processing, did not pay a bit of attention to what I wanted done for minor adjustments to a one week old haircut, and took no responsibility for the unprofessional end result. Detailed version for those wanting specifics: I believe it was my 4th and final time patronizing Elizabeth when I had the worst attack on my hair And horrific color experience of my adult life. I initially had a decent experience with her, so I continued through lesser mishaps prior to my final appointment. Elizabeth gave me a mostly good haircut one week prior (other than bobbing the back which I had expressly stated I did not want, and didn't see until I got home, as no mirror was offered). She had also added what was intended to be blond highlights which she said would just take a couple of minutes to process. Fifteen minutes later she returned and said she didn't hear her alarm go off. The treated hair was almost white by then. After seeing what I ended up with when I got home, I rescheduled with her for a week later to have her adjust the over processed hair, and to make "minor adjustments" to the new cut = a bit more shaping along my face, and to soften the severe bob in the back. When I returned Elizabeth recommended, and I agreed to a dark blonde toner to achieve the desired results. As she worked the toner in, my scalp and hair turned fluorescent pink. I asked why and Elizabeth said that was normal, not to worry. Well, my hair turned out flaming red! She said she didn't know why, must be my water at home - it's not. She then used what she referred to as a Remover to get rid of the red. It didn't. After the color shock she moved onto what I clearly and repeatedly requested as my "minor adjustments to my new cut": a light framing around my face and to soften, not shorten the very bottom of the unwanted bob in the back - I again added Not to shorten or texture any other hair (and help up the rest of my hair as a visual) as I liked the rest of the cut and did not want more layers in my thin fine hair. My fault was in not staying vigilant during the "minor adjustments" and feeling confident she knew what I was after. In no time my one week old haircut was chopped to pieces. I again stated I had only wanted minor changes to my new cut. She stopped and asked, so, how long has it been since I cut your hair? She didn't recall cutting it a week prior or anything I had said to her! By then it was too late. When she was finished, and then again when I was at the payment desk, Elizabeth asked other associates what they thought may have gone wrong with my color. She again stated it must be my water at home. Nope. She took zero responsibility for the color or hair cut mess. Said it must have been a miscommunication. I was in semi shock by then between the red orange hair and mega chop job, so I actually paid for the mess and left. After seeing my red orange hair in the light of day and at home, where again, I had my first look at the back "softening of the unwanted bob", and found a chunk of hair in the back that did not get the Remover, and saw the level of chop throughout my hair, I called her and said I was very unhappy with what she did. It was nothing like we discussed or either of us anticipated. I asked for a refund for the unwanted results and cut I never asked for or wanted. Elizabeth quickly stated that she doesn't give refunds, and offered that maybe she could try to fix the color again with a few foils. No thanks. Instead of accepting responsibility and attempting to make amends, she wanted to reprimand me for initially asking about a light brown color instead of the dark blond I agreed to at her suggestion, and for me saying I expected my hair color to look more like another woman who was at the payment desk, or like hers - both were shades of blond, not necessarily dark blonde, but no red or orange to be found. I asked her how my commenting about expecting a blond color was relevant to requesting a refund when she was supposed to have colored my hair dark blonde, not red orange, and not chop it up. No retort. This occurred in Mid February. As a follow up, I have since found (by recommendation) an excellent colorist and stylist. She's working my hair back to something nice, although it will take time for the chop to grow out, she did clean it up. And, no issues with the lovely natural looking colors that compliment my natural color. I rely on reviews of others when I don't have personal recommendations to go by which is why I am sharing my experience for others to consider.

I purchased a Groupon for a new service I've never used before. I did have a manicure once there…read moreand didn't realize that would make me a returning client for a new service. In the fine print it says new clients only. I would have not put such a low star but when contacting the business they were so rude and mean to me saying read the fine print, then told me it had been 11 months ago instead of a year I had been there too. As in this fine print Groupon it says you can purchase one a year, so I'm not sure how you can be a new client with that? I would be happy to wait another month to schedule, but she said again new clients only, I said I would want to review the business, so people don't make the same mistake with a Groupon. Any new service means you are a returning client even if you've never had that done. Purchasing one a year I guess means to just gift it to someone else then? Pretty simple to add I think. But she said I was threatening her if I was to make a review. Then she said I would never be allowed to even schedule anything there again not even just a regular appointment without a Groupon. I am completely shocked and out of money for the Groupon and I guess banned from using that business now....like I would ever feel safe going there. This was supposed to be a review about being careful buying a Groupon for them, but not be careful about going there at all, as I don't know what kind of person would treat a customer who has paid for a service, threatening me if I leave a review and banning from going there. I've never been more shocked in my life. So unprofessional, so rude, mean, condescending. I just wanted to try a new service and maybe be new returning client for that service. Maybe she just has a bad day? I've never been treated so poorly and made to feel so awful. I've never been banned from a business before either. Wow! Be careful if that's how they treat people, what do they do if you actually get to use a service there, what if there's a problem, and you try to speak up about it or try to get it resolved?
